2010 Audi A5 Cabriolet Convertible 2-door 2.0l on 2040-cars
Littleton, Colorado, United States
This certified pre-owned 2010 Audi A5 convertible runs and drives great. It's been meticulously maintained by current owner and includes the certified pre-owned warranty with coverage up to 100,000/6 years and 24/7 roadside assistance throughout warranty. Rare color combination with a burgundy top, and black body. Vehicle was replaced with new all season tires recently also under warranty. The quattro all wheel drive system and it's all season tires make it great for getting through the snow without compromising performance in other seasons. This A5 is the 'premium plus' addition which is an upgrade from standard models and includes additional features such as navigation, sport seats, back up camera, etc. I'm the second owner (bought at approximately 12,000 miles) and since owning the vehicle has always been garaged, well maintained, and smoker free. The vehicle was purchased at a local Audi dealership where it had undergone the certified preowned status, and granted a certified preowned warranty. The warranty is fully transferable and the cost at the time of certification was $2500.00.
Edmunds TMV (true market value) appraises the vehicle at: $31,200.00 (with consideration of extended warranty value) for private party in "clean" condition KBB (Kelly blue book value) gives a value of: $30,728.00 (without consideration of extended warranty value) in "very good" condition which is described as: - Has had minor paint touch-up and/or bodywork *Edmunds values the certified extended warranty at $2300. *The average of the two values considering the extended warranty is $32,100. I realize I don't have a picture of the engine so if you'd like one email me. The engine compartment is very clean as the vehicle was recently detailed inside and out. Also included with the detail was shampooing of the carpets and floor mats. I've always used custom rubber all weather mats (also included with the vehicle) so very little wear is shown on the carpeted mats. |

Audi drives Laurel Canyon in reverse
Tue, Jul 14 2015With all its many twists and turns and narrow lanes, driving down Laurel Canyon Boulevard in Los Angeles demands your attention under the best of conditions. The driver caught on this video, however, is clearly not giving it his best. The driver behind the wheel of this new Audi – an S5 or maybe even an RS5 coupe, if our eyes and the low resolution don't deceive us – opted to drive down the canyon road entirely in reverse, with a woman in the passenger seat. The incident was caught on video by one Kevin Zanazanian, another motorist following behind. (Or would that now be considered in front? We're all turned around here). Fortunately the driver appears to have taken things at a rather leisurely pace. Which is a good thing, or at least a mitigating factor. While cars are designed to be able to back up, unless you're a stunt driver on a closed set, they're not meant to do so at speed. But then they're not meant to be driven backwards for extended lengths of time or distance, either. That's why local authorities are reportedly trying to track down the driver, who could have been held accountable for any number of infractions had he been caught in the act - including driving right through a red light, backwards, from the turning lane, across Hollywood Boulevard. With the video footage now in hand, the LAPD's West Traffic Bureau is reportedly working to determine who it belongs to, and who can be held liable for this stunt. With no injuries or damage reported, KTLA reports that the charges (however many of them) would not amount to more than misdemeanors. 2013 Audi RS6 Avant hauls ass and then some
Mon, 04 Mar 2013Holy moly. Despite the fact that Audi first released details on its 2013 RS6 Avant back in December, we're still just as smitten with it now as we were a couple months ago. And why wouldn't we be? This stunning piece of forbidden fruit combines two of our favorite things: fast Audis and useful wagons.
The meat and potatoes behind the RS6 Avant is its twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8, tuned to crank out 560 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. Mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, the all-wheel-drive wagon can scoot to 60 miles per hour in just 3.9 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 155 mph. Opting for the Dynamic package ups that v-max to 174 mph, and selecting the Dynamic Plus pack increases that even further to 190 mph.
This RS6 Avant certainly looks the part of an extreme ass-hauler, fitted with the usual RS-spec gaping air intakes, 21-inch wheels, sport exhaust and carbon fiber ceramic brakes. Combine all that goodness with dynamic ride control, an adaptive air suspension and torque-vectoring Quattro all-wheel drive, and we have no doubt that this thing will scare off every other station wagon in the parking lot. (Well, except maybe that Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG. Woof.)
Audi scores first CA autonomous car permit
Wed, 17 Sep 2014Audi apparently knows how to get to the front of a line when it comes to driverless vehicles. The German automaker had the honor of being the very first company to receive one of California's new autonomous vehicle driving permits. It was a perfect followup to it being among the earliest ones to get a similar permit in Nevada a few years ago.
Getting the California permit is a big deal for the automaker because the state is also home to Audi's Electronics Research Lab. Among its current projects, Audi is working on the human-machine interface to communicate whether the person or vehicle is actually controlling the driving. All of this hard work is building toward offering autonomous motoring in freeway conditions in the next five years, Audi claims.
Obviously, autonomous vehicles from companies like Google have been testing in California for a while, but the new permits are meant to safeguard public safety when testing the driverless cars in public. The new rules include things like always having a person able to take control and more stringent standards like registering each autonomous car and the eligible drivers with the state. Any models testing on public roads also have to carry at least $5 million in insurance in case of injury, death or property damage.
