I purchased this 2011 Audi A4 Quattro Sedan in October 2012 with just under 30,000 miles on it. I bought it from Danbury Audi for $28,500 + Tax. The car has been nothing but awesome in the near 4 months I've owned it. It runs perfectly and is especially great in the snow (even better than the Jeep I used to have).

Here are a few cool things about this Audi:

• First and foremost, the car is MINT. I am a car fanatic and clean/detail it regularly. It has no scratches, dents, dings or damage of any kind. It looks like it just came out of the showroom.

• The car is still under it's manufacturer warranty (up to 2-years/50,000 miles) and when that expires, it is covered for another 2 years/50,000 miles under its Certified Pre-Owned Warranty. This means the car is covered bumper to bumper (minus oil changes, tires, brake maintenance and windshield wipers) for a total of 4 Years/100,000 miles!

• The mag wheels are MINT. I spray wax them to keep any brake dust from forming.

• The windows are professionally tinted (I had them done by one of the best places in the Tri-State area - Tint Man).

• The car has very low mileage (37,000) and still smells like a brand new car (I don't smoke or allow eating in the car).

• The car has SiriusXM Satellite Radio built in and an audio jack to play your iPod/iPhone/iPad/MP3 Player.

• The car comes with all 4 brand new rubber utility floor mats (the official Audi ones made for this model - they snap into place).

• The interior is all black leather and is in perfect shape. I frequently use leather wipes to keep it moist and clean. No holes, scratches, stains or blemishes.

If you're interested, I hope that we can work something out. Though I don't want to carry the payment while overseas, I also want to make sure I find a good home for this car as I am very attached to it and have put a lot of care in the way it looks.

Please only contact me if very interested.

Thanks for looking!

Audi A3 supplies tight, model stealing Honda, Toyota sales

Fri, 04 Jul 2014

It appears that there was a pent up demand for compact, front-wheel drive German luxury sedans that no one really knew about. Not only has the Mercedes CLA-Class been a success in the US with its Hungarian factory running three shifts to keep up, but the Audi A3 Sedan is doing quite well, too, after just three full months on the market.
Audi of America recently announced that the compact sedan shifted 2,452 vehicles in June and 7,735 units of the A3 since the beginning of the year. Not only are they selling; it's the people buying them that's important. According to Audi USA spokesperson John Schilling speaking to Autoblog, "A little over 25 percent of A3 buyers in April were 30 years or under." That's compared to about 18 percent for the A4, he said. Company executives also recently told Edmunds that many of those new customers are brand conquests turning in Honda or Toyota models. We gently mocked Audi when it held A3 Sedan launch parties aimed at hipsters that served craft beer and played indie music, but the marketing worked, apparently.
That said, if you're in the market for an A3, you might have not be able to get one immediately. According to Edmunds, some customers are on a waiting list for the compact luxury sedan. Although, Schilling said that's because Audi is still stocking dealers. "It's a little leaner than other models, but that's mainly because it's new and still ramping up," he said.

Audi promises production laser headlights

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

Audi is showing off new laser headlight technology this week at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show on its Audi Sport Quattro Laserlight Concept, and most intriguingly, the automaker has plans to use the long-range lighting on production vehicles. Audi CEO Rupert Stadler tells Automotive News that this type of headlights will be used on a future production vehicle, although he did not specify any timeframe.
On the concept vehicle, the headlights employ LED low beams, while the high beams use the laserlight technology. Audi says that these lights are not only very small ("a few microns in diameter") they are also able to light the road for almost a third of a mile (1,640 feet), with three times the brightness of an LED highbeam, yet with pinpoint control. These lights have already been confirmed for use in motorsports on the 2014 Audi R18 e-tron Quattro LMP1 racecar, and the tech will eventually trickle down to road-going cars.
In addition to how long this trickle down will take, it's doubtful we'll see these lights in the US anytime soon. Audi is still working with the US Department of Transportation for approval of its LED Matrix Beam headlights, which are already sold in other markets, and the negotiations appear to be taking quite a bit of time. Automotive News also notes that the laser headlights earmarked as options on the 2015 BMW i8 will not be offered in the US, either.

Audi UK in hot water over dealer safety claims

Wed, 14 May 2014

Car salesmen don't exactly have a reputation for being in the most truthful profession, and it appears that several Audi showrooms in the UK are playing into that stereotype. A BBC investigation found that multiple dealers told buyers that the company's models scored well in Euro NCAP crash tests. No big deal, right? The problem was that the vehicles were never actually evaluated.
The report began after an R8 buyer sent in a tip that his UK dealer claimed the sports car had received top Euro NCAP scores. However, it has never been tested by the organization. The BBC called 10 dealers inquiring about the A5 (pictured above), which also wasn't assessed. Nine said the coupe had been checked out, and six claimed it had a five-star rating - the best available.
Euro NCAP is funded by governments and motoring bodies, like the ADAC in Germany and the FIA. According to its website, the organization selects some of the most popular new models each year to crash test, and, the BBC claims, automakers can also pay to evaluate their cars. The last Audi tested was the A3 in 2012. The A6, Q3, A1, A4 and Q5 have also been tested since 2009, and they all received five-star ratings. However, the A5, A7, A8 and R8 have not been tested.
