This is a hard to find avant quattro all wheel drive wagon. I bought this car with 75,000 miles on it, the previous owner took it to the dealer for every little thing; records are included with car. I have done all my own service since then, including changing the timing belt, water pump, and components. The car was custom ordered with the sport package, had S wheels added, and conveniencey cargo package from the factory. It is a deep blue with tan interior, the interior is in excellent shape with only minor ware and the exterior has one blemish on the rear bumper and the paint is in otherwise excellent shape for the year. The previous owner mounted a yakima rack for two bikes and I have added a canoe mount to that; this is the perfect city to country and back again car. The 3.0 is very strong, and combined with the sport suspension, is a lot of fun to drive. The transmission features manual auto shifting or sport and overdrive mode. This car has more features than I would have ever expected. It also has a sunroof, heated seats, super cold A/C, and Audi heavy duty rubber floor mats. I just changed the oil and will be getting the registration renewed over the next few days. The car has 112,000 miles on it now and is mechanically sound. I hate to sell this car, but just like the previous owner, my family is expanding and I need something with room for the kids plus the grandparents. Just had the car fully detailed so it looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a viewing please call me, Paul, at 214-707-7750. If I don't answer, leave me a voicemail and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Also, I have more pictures than I can post here so email me for them.

Audi 4.2-liter V8 to live again in next-gen R8
Thu, 27 Feb 2014Fellow auto enthusiasts, it looks like the car gods have smiled upon us. Word is that Audi's stupendous 4.2-liter V8 will once again be available in the next-generation R8. Rumors pegged the trusty 4.2 as a dead engine revving, thanks to Audi's newer 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 found in models like the S6 and S7.
We expected the 4.0-liter to be the go-to engine in the next R8, but according to Car and Driver, there have been some issues cooling the force-induced mill in the mid-engine R8. The issues are so severe, in fact, that the 4.2 is going to be retained in the car's second generation.
It's more than just practical matters like cooling that are keeping the R8 from going turbocharged. C/D reports that even with the current state of forced induction, a turbocharged R8's throttle response and its resultant exhaust note would suffer too much to be feasible.
Audi celebrates 25 years of TDI
Fri, Jul 18 2014Nope, the diesel engine never really did go out of style for Audi. Now, the German automaker has released a video reminding the world of its persistence with the oil-burners and is commemorating the Silver Anniversary of Audi's first commitment to turbodiesels in 1989. And, yes, there are some road racers shown in the clip, so some of those bad boys actually move pretty well. Audi engineers on camera admitted to some of the early TDI engines being "slow" but still valuable for their torque and, obviously, their fuel economy relative to gas-powered engines. A bunch of tinkering later, though, and Audi says its diesels can be a legitimate "part of a performance car" and has even overcome the issue of noisiness that's often associated with diesels. The automaker made some news in these parts a few years back when its Audi A3 TDI won the 2010 Green Car of the Year at the annual LA Auto Show in late 2009, and the model even succeeded a fellow diesel (the Volkswagen Jetta TDI) to boot. Granted, diesel sales aren't nearly as popular in the US as they are in Europe. Still, Audi last year boosted its diesel sales in the US by 40 percent to 10,076, which was about a tenth of what sister company Volkswagen sold in diesels last year in the States. And things have looked even rosier this year for Audi's TDI sales. Through June, Audi diesel sales have almost quadrupled from a year earlier to more than 8,100 units. Check out the 150-second video on Audi's 25-years of TDI production below.
Audi launches 2014 TDI models with hilarious spot
Thu, 05 Sep 2013Audi has unveiled a set of new television spots that seek to continue the company's proselytizing of diesel-fueled luxury cars to the American pubic. With TDI versions of the A6, A7, A8, Q5 and Q7 available for its 2014 model year range, this is a subject that's obviously near and dear to the hearts of Audi marketers.
The first commercial, The Station, makes a play on the fact that many car buyers in the US don't associate luxury cars (in this case an A8) with those green-handled pumps at the "gas" station. The second commercial, Range, is a lot more informative (albeit less fraught with screaming and slowmo), discussing just how easy it should be to find a diesel fueling station in your long-range TDI before you need to fill up.
Continue on below for a look at both new commercials, or to have Audi explain them to you in great detail, via its press release.
