Audi A3 Tdi Diesel 2013 S Line Thule Leather Black 45mpg on 2040-cars
Portland, Oregon, United States
MPG: The reason people buy this model. It gets, standard 40-45 MPG on the highway and 35 MPG in the city. Never fails. Features: Comes incl with Thule low profile racks. Wheels: Titanium 17" Audi 5-spoke rims with low rolling resistance tires installed. Alloy 15" Audi rims (with studless winter tires installed). History: I purchased the car from the factory. It was the last batch of A3 hatchbacks they will make for a while. Driven as my commuter vehicle I average about 25,000 miles a year (mostly highway - no across town commuting, Ever). I am getting rid of it because my dog is now too big for the back and it is time to upgrade to a larger vehicle. Shipping and payment: You can pick it up and pay me cash/cashier's check in hand. You can electronically transfer the funds. I will consider escrow. Shipping is solely your responsibility. |

Audi mulling producing version of Quattro showcar, just not sure which one [w/poll]
Fri, 13 Sep 2013Head of design for Audi, Wolfgang Egger, has told Auto Express that a reborn Quattro could enter production, but bosses for the company haven't yet decided whether to base it on the Sport Quattro concept that just debuted at this week's Frankfurt Motor Show or the smaller Quattro concept that was revealed at the 2010 Paris Motor Show.
While both draw their inspiration from the original Ur-Quattro of the 1980s, they vary wildly in both size and choice of powertrain. The 2010 Quattro concept was based on Volkswagen's MQB platform, shared with such vehicles as the Golf and Audi A3. The Sport Quattro, meanwhile, was built atop the company's larger MLB platform that's used almost exclusively for Audi models, including the A5, which is also a coupe.
Under their hoods, the 2010 Quattro concept simply employs a version of the same 2.5-liter engine used in the TT RS, tuned to deliver 408 horsepower, while the Sport Quattro goes nuclear with a twin-turbo V8 hybrid powertrain that develops 700 hp and 590 pound-feet of torque. Both, of course, employ quattro all-wheel drive just like their forebearer.
Audi inaugurates new R8 production line at Neckarsulm
Sat, 18 Oct 2014Of all the factories which the Volkswagen Group operates around the world, the Audi plant in Neckarsulm may not be the very largest, but it is among the most diversified. That's where Audi builds versions of the A4, A5, A6, A8 and Q7 lines. It's also been home to the R8, but now the German automaker has moved supercar production to a new facility just a few miles down the road.
Back in August, Audi stopped production of the R8 at its main Neckarsulm site and moved it to the new Böllinger Höfe site in Heilbronn, restarting production just three weeks later. The new assembly line brings together various workshops that had been scattered about the Neckarsulm complex under one roof, and will surely make production of the next-generation R8 that much smoother.
The Böllinger Höfe facility is about a quarter the size of the main Neckarsulm plant, and will also house a small-scale production line - similar, we gather, to what Audi subsidiary Lamborghini recently built in Sant'Agata Bolognese - and a massive, state-of-the-art logistics center with capable of handling 4,500 containers each day.
Audi welcomes Porsche back to Le Mans like any sibling would
Fri, 06 Jun 2014Ah, sibling rivalry. It really is a beautiful thing. It's even more beautiful when said siblings are automakers with very, very well-known racing histories. That's how you get videos like this, which is Audi's way of welcoming Porsche back to the top flight of Le Mans racing.
Yes, Audi has taken its R18 E-Tron Quattro back onto public roads, wowing schoolboys and scaring farmers (who appear to be riding classic Porsche tractors), as it travels from Ingolstadt to Zuffenhausen, just to taunt its corporate frenemy.
Take a look below for a video to see just what that teasing looks like.
