2009 Audi A3 Cpo 28k Mi 6spd Slv/blk Prem, Cold Wthr And Panorama Pkgs on 2040-cars
San Pedro, California, United States
I purchased this Silver on Black Leather A3 from Circle Audi in Long Beach in August of 2012 as a Certified Pre-Owned auto. I am the second owner. This car is in CPO/excellent condition with 28K miles. The new owner will enjoy nearly two more years of the transferrable Audi CPO Warranty, through August of 2015. All major services have been done at an Audi dealer; first Audi of Santa Monica, then Circle Audi. I recently had the 25K mile service performed, as well as having the tires rotated. This car is rock-solid and in showroom condition. The only damage is on one wheel, which has slight curb rash (passenger rear; pic attached so you can see it). The rest of the wheels are in excellent condition. It has the premium and cold weather packages; also the panoramic roof option (sunroof+). Basically, it is loaded with just about everything; bluetooth phone, sat radio, aux jack for playing music, leather seats, power driver seat, heated seats, cruise control, daytime running lights, power everything, etc. Upgrades from stock include an Audi S-line shifter knob w/ white stitching on shift boot (looks so much nicer than stock), slightly tinted side windows (30%), and an Audi custom fitted sunshade for the windshield. This car has never been marred with weird upgrades or engine tuning, which can be a concern with this model. It is completely stock with the exception of the S-Line shifter knob, which is an Audi part. I am a mature driver who keeps cars meticulously. I am selling A3 because my employer made a special lease offer that I cannot refuse. I have to say, it has been the most fun car I've had where there were no compromises to utility (4 door, plenty of storage, split-row rear seats, etc.). I have priced the car to sell quickly, since my new car is coming in soon. To save you the research, KBB shows $20,827 CPO and $18,375 person-to-person (non-CPO). Give me a call to see or discuss the car. Ryan 310-279-3467. |

Watch Audi's Emmy promo, starring Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul and Julia Louis-Dreyfus
Thu, 21 Aug 2014A lot of online videos try way too hard to be funny, but the promo from Audi for the 66th Emmy Awards on Monday, August 25, shows that if you put faith in a proven group of hilarious actors, you can strike comedy gold. The short film reunites Breaking Bad stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul as the proprietors of a pawnshop of rare and obscure items called Barely Legal Pawn. They have their own fictional reality show (which really needs to exist) that rips off Pawn Stars, and this segment has comedy veteran Julia Louis-Dreyfus coming in to sell her Emmy award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy as Elaine on Seinfeld. Louis-Dreyfus also pays the title sponsor's bills by subtly incorporating a 2015 S3 into the otherwise car-free gag.
It would ruin the video to spoil any of the jokes; you just need to watch it. Cranston actually bridges the gap here because way before he became famous as Walter White on Breaking Bad, he had a recurring guest role on Seinfeld as dentist Dr. Tim Whatley. If you're a fan of either show or just need a hearty chuckle for today, this one is definitely for you because all three former Emmy winners put in fantastic performances.
MT's Jessi Lang recounts her harrowing Autobahn R8 crash
Wed, Aug 6 2014Automotive enthusiasts know the name, face, voice and stories of Jessi Lang well. And if they don't, they should. The longtime Motor Trend video presenter and host of The J-Turn is a regular fixture on the automotive scene, and one of our favorite to watch. But a year ago, Jessi vanished from the scene. And we're sad to say she hasn't been kicking back enjoying umbrella drinks on the beach all this while. A year ago Lang went on a pilgrimage to Germany, driving a Porsche 911 GT3 on the Nurburgring and an Audi R8 modified by Abt on the Autobahn when the unthinkable happened. A car swerved out of its lane and into Jessi's path. A catastrophic collision ensued, and Lang was seriously injured. Jessi's been recovering from the multiple fractures and life-threatening lacerations ever since, and in her first appearance back on the net, has returned to tell her harrowing but courageous story. We wish her all the best on her long road to recovery, hope to see her back to her old self again soon, and invite you to watch the heart-rending story here.
2014 Audi S1 Quattro [w/video]
Fri, 21 Mar 2014Audi may only now be fully committing to the US compact car market with a range of A3 models, but it's got far more small car expertise than most Americans realize, and its offerings get even tinier, too. Back in 2010, Audi leapt into the subcompact premium fray - in all markets but the United States, Canada and China - with its A1. The A1 family has sold all right, but not quite as well as was expected, likely due to its price when optioned up. (It also doesn't help that the Volkswagen Polo is a great car on the same architecture and costs much less.)
But Audi seems compelled to make high-buck S trims of everything nowadays, so right on schedule, I've scored seat time in its new S1 Quattro. Under its gumdrop-colored hood is the very popular 2.0-liter TFSI motor. In this trim, it's good for 228 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque between 1,600 and 3,000 rpm. That's quite a lot of gumption for this little blaster - enough power for 0-60 in just 5.7 seconds.
My drive was originally supposed happen on a sub-zero frozen lake in Sweden, only Audi forgot to call Mother Nature and ask her to hold off on springtime. It would have turned into a slush drive and then a submarine test had I been told to stick to the original plan, so it was dusty, soggy and gravel-y pavement instead, which turned out to be a better real-world test anyhow. Plus, the car got even cuter when it was filthy.
