Selling off another one of my Audi 4000 Quattros. I only have 3 left and this is the next one to get a new owner. 1987 4000 CS Quattro. Tornado Red with Gray Cloth interior. only 145k miles. Bought in Beaverton, Oregon originally and raised in Washington and then back to Oregon a few years ago. absolutely zero rust. Super straight!! I think you can see in my history I dont sell junk! New struts all the way around. New control arm bushings front and rear. Has the trip computer and nice upgraded pioneer stereo. Factory Ronal original wheels painted black with brand Falken Ziex new tires. Muffler and resinator are new last year. Extremely Quiet Exhaust. Interior is immaculate for the age..2 minor holes on driver seat. the piping around the rear seats is loose. The 87 model has the ostrich dashboard with the speckles as well. 87 year only. Power windows, power mirrors work. I only think the driver rear window isnt working. Power Locks work. New starter last year. There are 144,xxx miles..Has good Oregon plates and tags till 2015. Bought it a year ago with 138k. Just Did the Clutch master/slave/and return line. The paint I think is original other than the roof looks like it was resprayed. There is some minor dents/dings and paint chips on hood and various places. There isnt any clear coat peeling tho which is nice as the paint still shines very well. I am having the cracked windshield replaced this week before the sale while I have it insured its $100 for me!
The rear spoiler is faded..No the paint is not perfect. its old, but original. somebody got a little wild and rubbed alot of paint away on the passenger rear quarter between the rear window and passenger side rear wing window. Just want to clarify the issues on exterior paint. nice that clear is not peeling anywhere i can see. bumpers and trim all are nice. and yes the odometer works. it was repaired by previous owner when it quit working.
The car drives really well. no shakes rattles. smooth shifting, smooth at highway speeds, runs super strong as well. No leaks of any kind I can see. Been driving the car for almost a week now without any problems. You wont find a more rust free 4000 quattro.

Daily Driver: 2015 Audi S7

Thu, Apr 23 2015

Daily Driver videos are micro-reviews of vehicles in the Autoblog press fleet, featuring impressions from the staffers that drive them every day. Today's Daily Driver features the 2015 Audi S7, reviewed by Seyth Miersma. You can watch the video above or read a transcript below. Watch more Autoblog videos at /videos. VIDEO TRANSCRIPT [00:00:00] Hi, all. This is Seyth with Autoblog. I'm here driving the 2015 Audi S7. I'm caught in a kind of annoying, normal, end-of-the-work-day suburban traffic right now, but even that helps to illustrate the point that I'm trying to make about the S7, is that it really is one of the best all-around grand touring cars that you can buy. A really, really good grand tourer has to do three things. [00:00:30] One, it has to look amazing. It has to feel really special inside and out. The second part is that it's got to be a great long-range cruiser. It needs to be powerful on the highway, be able to be very comfortable and quiet if you're taking it long distances, kind of like your typically Autobahn car. Three, and I think this is really difficult with the second one that I mentioned, I think that grand tourers have to be really great at driving like sports cars. [00:01:00] You're going along and you're touring on the highway and you know that a really great road is coming up. The car should be able to get off on that road and handle like something much lighter and still have that great cruising character. That's one of the reasons why I've always liked the entire Audi A7 line, but especially this S7 because the A7 itself in all of its guises is really a pretty great cruiser and a really practical all-around car with the space in the hatch [00:01:30] and reasonable room in the back seats. The S7 with the turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 making 420 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque really amps up the sportiness. Now don't get me wrong, the S7 is far from a sports car. It's not very light. It's got a long wheelbase. It is nimble, especially with Quattro, but it doesn't feel especially nimble. It doesn't want to change directions super quickly. It splits the difference between the two. That being said, [00:02:00] when you get up to some of your favorite roads, it doesn't disappointment you either because of all the power and grip and some pretty decent sporting character available. Of course one thing that you do lack in a big GT like this S7 vs.

MT's Jessi Lang recounts her harrowing Autobahn R8 crash

Wed, Aug 6 2014

Automotive enthusiasts know the name, face, voice and stories of Jessi Lang well. And if they don't, they should. The longtime Motor Trend video presenter and host of The J-Turn is a regular fixture on the automotive scene, and one of our favorite to watch. But a year ago, Jessi vanished from the scene. And we're sad to say she hasn't been kicking back enjoying umbrella drinks on the beach all this while. A year ago Lang went on a pilgrimage to Germany, driving a Porsche 911 GT3 on the Nurburgring and an Audi R8 modified by Abt on the Autobahn when the unthinkable happened. A car swerved out of its lane and into Jessi's path. A catastrophic collision ensued, and Lang was seriously injured. Jessi's been recovering from the multiple fractures and life-threatening lacerations ever since, and in her first appearance back on the net, has returned to tell her harrowing but courageous story. We wish her all the best on her long road to recovery, hope to see her back to her old self again soon, and invite you to watch the heart-rending story here.

Audi first to bring LTE to the car later this year

Tue, 30 Jul 2013

It appears Audi will be the first to market with in-car LTE service later this year. We knew that BMW was working on LTE integration last year with its ConnectedDrive, and we've been told that, by the end of 2015, most General Motors products will have it, but LTE can be ordered on the S3 Sportback (pictured) as soon as July. Other models in the A3 line-up will add the option in November.
Inserting an LTE-enabled SIM card into the Audi's MMI navigation will make the S3 a WLAN hotspot that can quickly shuffle high-definition content from the cloud to the cockpit. It will also bolster Audi Connect services like Google Earth, Facebook and Twitter, e-mail, and streaming internet radio.
We've been told that we'll be offered the LTE option when the 2015 A3 sedan gets here in the spring of 2014. Since the service requires you to provide a SIM card, we expect that costs and data caps will be a matter between you and the service provider; speaking of which, Audi hasn't announced yet who that provider will be on this side of the Atlantic. The press release below has more details.
