1986 Audi 4000 Quattro Cs Sedan 4-door 2.2l on 2040-cars
Spokane, Washington, United States
Well, time to put this beauty up for sale. 78k original miles. No misprint. Clean title/carfax. Car was parked and covered in 1998. Then drove around the block every now and then for 5 years. At some point the engine failed. Most likely from a faulty or clogged oil pump. This summer the engine was replaced with another very low mileage factory engine. Compression 175 across the board. Lots of other parts were replaced to ensure this car will last a very long time.. Fuel system was gone through, filter, pump, injectors, injector orings, seats, lower seats, fuel distributor, new spark plugs, seals front and rear mains, valve cover gasket, gas tank replaced, battery, and more. Car was professionally handled at local European shop with many years combined experience. It took them months to go through everything. But well worth the wait. Car looks great, drives even better. Rust free. Never seen salt. Or deicer. Being able to drive many 4k quattros in the past, all to be said is they all have been driven till they die. Even then with a little work they can be back on the road. This one drives like its brand new. Car is very tight. Great power, gets up and goes. New cat back exhaust too. Sounds great, able to retain factory tips. Paint is factory black metallic, dont see that often. Car looks incredible when the sun hits it. Black leather heated seats are mint, as well as door cards, carpet, mats, not a stitch out of place. Seats get warm within 60 seconds. Everything works on the car. Everything. All windows, doors, interior/exterior lights. All gauges, lights on gauges, console, little lights on every window switch. Cruise, A/C blows cold, R12. Aftermarket Alpine pull out C/D player, was amazing back in '92 or so. Stereo sounds good. Power antennae is smooth. No leaks of course. Tires are like new Dunlaps. Bonus real BBS 14x7 ordered from the dealer in mint condition. Have original multi spoke rims in good condition as well, with all center caps. This is a rare chance to own a fully documented one owner 4000. Original title from 1992 when it was initially paid off. Dont even consult the wife, unless shes a Quattro fan.

Audi promises Super Bowl surprise with Dog Show teaser
Tue, 21 Jan 2014Last month, Audi announced that it would focus its Super Bowl XLVIII airtime on its new 2015 A3, but a new teaser video promises "something unexpected." Even though there's not so much as a single car in this 20-second teaser, we don't doubt that Audi has created an interesting and creative commercial based on what we've seen in recent Super Bowl ads from the automaker.
While we don't exactly see what could be scary or unexpected about the A3 (or even the S3), there is still the chance that Audi has something up its advertising sleeve for the Big Game. We only have to wait a couple more weeks to find out for sure, but in the meantime, the short video is posted below.
The hottest modern sports cars rendered as rally racers
Thu, Jan 14 2016The modern-day World Rally Championship a monumental amount of fun to watch – I should know, as I recently was lucky enough to head to the UK to watch WRC Wales Rally GB – but even the most monstrous of the current WRC cars are based on fairly pedestrian European hatchbacks. Back in the heyday of rally, the Group B era in the 1980s, much hotter cars were the basis of even more incredible competition machines, for the most part. Take the exotic Ford RS200, or the Lancia Delta S4 with its twin-charged engine. And the hatchback-based Group B cars were bonkers, too. So what would some of our favorite modern cars look like if Group B had never ended? A British site named CarWow hired an artist to reimagine everything from the Rolls-Royce Wraith to the Porsche 911 as a retro-inspired rally car, and they were kind enough to let us share the results in the gallery above. The gallery features an Alfa Romeo Giulia in Martini livery, an Audi TT in classic Ur-Quattro colors, a Fiat 500 Abarth sporting massive flares and a hood blister full of auxiliary lights, a new Ford Mustang in RS200 livery, a Lancia Delta in Alitalia colors, a Porsche 911 in Rothmans livery, a Renault-Alpine in classic blue, a Rolls-Royce Wraith tribute to the Jules cologne Corniche Coupe, and a relatively modern-looking VW Touran. So far, the favorite around the office is the incredible Mercedes-Benz S-Class that is an homage to the wonderful 300 SEL 6.8 AMG "Red Pig" that essentially put AMG on the map. Check out the gallery above and see which one you like the best. Related Video:
Race Recap: 2013 Griffin King of the Hammers, and notes from a dry lake bed [w/video]
Mon, 11 Feb 2013
It was a local guy from 90 miles away who beat them all...
The image above shows 129 Ultra4 racing rigs lined up for the start of the 2013 Griffin King of the Hammers. In case you missed Part One that explains why they're there and why they might be doing the most difficult and absurd one-day off-road race in the world, check it out. After a week of races in other events and two days of qualifying for the big show, the men and women who made it in were lined up to do three laps of a course around the 140,000-acre Johnson Valley OHV area in California's San Bernardino County.
