2014 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Stratus White/obsidian Black 2700 Miles on 2040-cars
San Antonio, Texas, United States
If you have never experienced the breath taking beauty and excitement of an Aston Martin, you are letting all the good things in life pass you by. Besides having one of the most striking body designs ever to grace the automotive world, the Aston Martin Vantage is a thrill to drive. The 4.7 liter V8 makes the most incredible sound of any car on the road and provides enough acceleration to humble even a seasoned sports car veteran.
On the outside, the car is finished in Stratus White, which is a metallic white that sparkles beautifully in the sun. As all Aston Martin paint jobs, it is flawless with no orange peel anywhere on the car. Since I bought the car, I also had cQuartz Ceramic Paint Sealant applied to the car, which has a 5 year warranty. This alone was a $1000 treatment. 19 inch machined finish aluminum alloys are fitted with sticky Bridgestone Potenza tires. The windows have been coated with the highest quality Wincos tint for maximum heat and UV rejection. Open the door and the rich smell of leather is the first thing you notice. Not one square millimeter of the interior is made of vinyl or any other simulated leather. Every surface that looks like leather IS leather, and not the kind of cheap stuff you see in every Japanese car on the road either. Aston Martin uses only the best leather in the world. Accented with white contrast stitching, the interior on this car is absolutely the best you will find. Take a look at the image of the original window sticker on the car for a full list of standard and optional features. The MSRP on the car was just under $144,000, making this your chance to get a practically brand new car for a huge discount. After some recent inexplicable buying decisions on my part, I somehow ended up with 4 two-door cars. I need at least one vehicle that I can get more than two people in, so this one must go. Feel free to email me if you need any more info on this gorgeous piece of automotive art. |

Aston Martin recalling majority of cars built since late 2007 over counterfeit Chinese parts
Wed, Feb 5 2014Back in June 2013, Aston Martin recalled just under 700 vehicles over faulty throttle arms that could break without warning. Bad news, for sure – and things just got a whole lot worse. According to Reuters, the British luxury brand now needs to recall 17,590 vehicles due to counterfeit plastic materials being used by a Chinese sub-supplier – that's roughly 75 percent of the company's output over the same period. Basically, here's how it boils down: with the exception of the Vanquish, Aston Martin will recall all left-hand-drive vehicles built since November 2007, and all right-hand-drive cars built since May 2012. Just as we told you in the recall notice from 2013, the accelerator arms in these cars may fracture, increasing the risk of a crash. Shenzhen Kexiang Mould Tool Co Limited, a Chinese company that molds the accelerator pedal arms in these affected models, was using counterfeit plastics, according to Reuters. These bad plastics were supplied by Synthetic Plastic Raw Material Co Ltd, of Dongguan. An Aston Martin spokesperson tells Reuters that there have been no reports of accidents or injuries in conjunction with this problem.
Aston launches certification program for historic cars
Sun, Sep 13 2015After 102 years in business, Aston Martin has an in-house program to provide factory certification to the products it has made for more than a century. The Aston Martin Assured Provenance program is a way for owners to have their classic cars examined by the gents at Aston Martin Works at Newport Pagnell, and then - if successful - be assessed one of four levels of certification. Owners pay a fee to have their car looked over by in-house experts who perform a digital scan and then examine all of the car's visuals and mechanics. Those records are then given to the Sanctioning Committee, another group of experts that decides which level, from Platinum to Bronze, should be awarded to the vehicle. The owner pays another fee if the car get certified, after which said owner gets a photo book of the car, the certificate in a presentation case, two sets of plaques for the instrument panel and door sills, and a USB with the digital record of the car. The program is open to original vehicles and those reworked by Aston Martin. The press release below has more. Created to offer a true blue riband service to heritage car owners and collectors, and drawing on the unrivalled knowledge of a committee of authoritative Aston Martin experts, the pioneering Assured Provenance certification programme is administered and run by the brand's world-renowned in-house heritage car facility – Aston Martin Works. The first official authentication programme to be provided in-house by Aston Martin, the new scheme offers four levels of verification to take into account not simply all-original examples, but also sports cars that have been modified by Aston Martin itself over the years. As part of the painstaking procedure of examination and authentication, all cars submitted to the process will undergo a digital scan which will be verified and held in a secure archive for future reference. Every car will be assessed at Aston Martin's internationally renowned heritage restoration, service and repair facility – Aston Martin Works at Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire – where they will undergo a thorough visual and mechanical investigation.

Thu, Jan 14 2021For the fourth time in the last year, an Aston Martin out-discounts all other automakers by offering the largest monetary savings off the retail price of an automobile in America. This time, though, the discount isn't on the aging (though still beautiful) Rapide sedan or range-topping DBS Superleggera, it's for the DB11 sports car. For those keeping track, the DB11 also led this discount list back in May of 2020. This time, though, the price is even lower than before. Right now, buyers of the Aston Martin DB11 are seeing discounts of $24,330. That's a 12.1% cut off the car's average retail price of $201,820 and it means buyers are paying an average transaction price of $177,490. Still expensive, but really not bad for a drop-dead gorgeous machine with as much as 630 horsepower. Next in line is a familiar face, the Acura NSX. As impressive as the Japanese hybrid supercar may be, Acura has been running big rebates on the NSX for as long as we've been running these lists. This month, the NSX buyers are seeing discounts of nearly 14% for an average transaction price of $138,648. The third biggest discount this month shows up on the most expensive vehicle on the list. The Rolls-Royce Phantom carries an average sticker price of $537,500. But buyers are getting about 4% off that for an average transaction price of $516,333. It may not be a massive discount when measured by percentage, but when the asking price is so high, even a small discount equals big bucks. Related Video:
