Aston Martin One-77 designer gives back to teacher who changed his life

It's a pretty fair bet that we've all had "that" teacher. The educator that stood out above all the others while we were in school and not only taught us, but made us into a better person – our very own Mr. Feeny, Mr. Belding, Mr. Holland or even Mr. Miyagi. The Windsor Star has the story of one such teacher and her troubled student that went on to help design some of the most desirable cars in the auto industry. Karlene Berry spent 30 years as a teacher, and among her many, many students is Michael Lehti, the product of a broken home and self-described has having "never been the greatest academic." What Lehti could do, though, was design cars. With the help of Berry's class, he overcame his early obstacles and went on to work with the design team on the Aston Martin One-77 (pictured above) and the RUF CTR3, among other vehicles. With Lehti and Benson's old school closing, the pupil reached out to his teacher 32 years after graduation to say "thanks" and pay tribute for her impact on his life. Get your Aston Martin Vulcan in Ohio for just $3.4 million

Want to get your hands on an Aston Martin Vulcan? Good luck: the manufacturer is only building 24 of them, and each carries a price tag of over $2 million. But if you're willing to shell out, there's one for sale in Cleveland. This Fiamma Red example listed for sale on the duPont Registry is described as the first Vulcan in the United States. It bears the VIN AMLVULCANXXXXXX07, indicating that this is the seventh of those two dozen examples to be made. And it can be yours for the small matter of $3.4 million, which is one heck of a markup on a vehicle that's already enormously expensive. The Vulcan, for those unfamiliar, is the supercar that Aston Martin built specifically for use on the track. That puts it in the same league as the McLaren P1 GTR and Ferrari FXX K. The Vulcan features an old-school naturally aspirated 7.0-liter V12 rated at over 800 horsepower – mounted up front but entirely behind the axle. It's built around a carbon-fiber tub that's even stronger and lighter than the one at the center of the One-77. And that aero kit derived from Aston's GT3 racer will generate as much as 3,000 pounds of downforce at top speed. The Aston is also more rare than its counterparts, of which McLaren will build 35 and Ferrari fewer than 40. That's rather rare company indeed, in which the Vulcan looks poised to be the rarest. 15-year-old Russian footballer crashes Aston Martin he's owned for 3 days

You wouldn't expect a 15-year-old boy to have the driving experience required to tame an Aston Martin, and things went just as you would suspect for one young, Russian soccer player who fits that description. It only took three days before the teen reportedly collided with a Volkswagen Tiguan at an intersection in Saint Petersburg, Russia. To make matters worse, the boy allegedly fled the scene afterward because he didn't have a driver's license. The purported driver was Konstantin P., a goalkeeper for the Zenit-84 soccer team, according to Life News from Russia. The teen told the website that the Tiguan came out of nowhere at around 50 miles per hour (80 km/h). He was driving into the intersection and claimed to be going about 25-30 mph (40-50 km/h) when they collided. No one was reportedly hurt in the incident. Konstantin allegedly bought the Aston Martin with his own money, but he might not have been responsible enough to actually drive it.
