DESCRIPTION:

For Sale is my beautiful 2007 Aston Martin DB9 with factory Aston Martin CPO Warranty.  This DB9 has undergone a rigorous 4 hour inspection in order to be considered certified by Aston Martin.  This means you can actually enjoy driving the car instead of worrying about potential costly breakdowns.  This vehicle is fully loaded with every factory option including:
-Aluminum front grille
-Sports package (19" wheels, sport tuned suspension, 1" lowered ride height)
-Front skid plate (prevents damage to front fascia)
-Ventilated slotted front and rear brake rotors
-6 piston front and 4 piston red brake calipers
-Upgraded Lynn sound system with sub woofer
-"Clear skin" over rockers and rear quarter panels to protect against chips and scratches
-Contrast black/red leather interior
-Black piano wood accents
-Parking sensors
-Heated seats
-Navigation
-Bluetooth

This DB9 is also extremely rare as it comes with a 6 speed manuel transmission.  Less than 5% of all DB9's EVER made have the optional 6 speed manuel.  In my opinion, you cannot drive this car unless it's manuel, an automatic transmission simply does not do this car justice.

Additionally, this DB9 comes with full Aston Martin service history, and at this point does NOT require any maintenance for at least another year or 10k miles (whichever comes first).
-Oil and Filter service performed 6/2014
-Tires were changed 6,600 miles ago
-Brakes were changed 1,800 miles ago

Basically, this DB9 is ready to be a daily driver or can be parked in your living room as a work of art because it's in pristine showroom condition. Although I mostly drive the car on weekends, I have driven it several times to work from NJ to Manhattan where the roads differ greatly.  The DB9 feels comfortable in any setting and road surface.  The ride is never too stiff and has just enough modern creature comforts that you would never expect from a car that's nearly 7 years old or rather young!

I am selling the car simply because I need the money to fund a new business, additionally, as can be seen from the miles, I just have not had time to use the car as much as I hoped I would.  With that being said, I am not desperate to sell the car, however, I am negotiable on the price.  Similar DB9's that are NOT fully loaded, do NOT have the rare 6 speed manuel transmission, and certainly do NOT have the CPO Aston Martin Warranty have sold for my current asking price.  Hopefully, this car can go to a home that will love and cherish it as much as I have.

If you have any questions or would like to set up a time to see and drive the car please send me a message.  You MUST know how to drive a manuel if you would like to test drive the car!

Aston Martin DB11 already has over 1,400 pre-orders

Thu, Mar 31 2016

It's barely been a month since Aston Martin revealed the new DB11 at the Geneva Motor Show. The company hasn't even announced all the details yet, but it reportedly has already topped 1,400 pre-orders for the new model. "I think we're at more than 1,400 orders now," Aston chief Andy Palmer told the Motor Report, "which is great for a car that we've not really released the whole details about, and isn't available to be purchased until September." That's impressive considering that the company only sells around 4,000 vehicles each year. View 42 Photos Aston plans to ramp up production to 7,000 units annually, and the arrival of the new DB11 represents a major step forward for the niche automaker. It replaces the DB9 that's been on the market since 2004 and has – alongside the Vantage that's nearly as old – served as the basis for most of the vehicles the company has made over the past decade. However, the DB9 is built on a new platform and uses a new engine and transmission (among other components) supplied by Mercedes-AMG. Its 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 drives 600 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic. Aston's latest is slated to reach US dealers in the fall, with a price tag starting at $211,995. That represents only a small increase over the base price for the DB9 GT, which starts at just under $200,000. Rival Bentley's Continental GT tops out in Speed spec just a bit higher at $227,600. Cash influx could help Aston Martin double sales

Wed, Jan 28 2015

Aston Martin is on the verge of a major product overhaul – complete with new architecture and powertrains. And good thing, considering that the Vantage and DB9 are each about a decade old. But to make it all happen, the British automaker is going to need a massive capital influx. Fortunately, that's just what it got when Investindustrial came on board. The Italian private equity fund, which previously owned a large chunk of Ducati and is now building a Ferrari theme park in Spain, bought a 37.5 percent stake in Aston Martin back in 2012. The acquisition reportedly cost Investindustrial the better part of a quarter billion dollars, but that's not the end of the firm's investment in Aston. According to Bloomberg, Investindustrial is now pouring even more into the Gaydon-based marque to help fund its product blitz. The output of that investment is expected to be announced at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. That's where Aston's new chief executive Andy Palmer (whom Investindustrial reportedly helped poach from Nissan) is tipped to announce the company's new product plan that is earmarked to help double the company's sales from around 4,000 units last year to as many as 8,000 once those new products reach the market. The plan will assuredly include replacements for Aston's trademark luxury GTs, but could also encompass a new crossover utility vehicle to give it a greater foothold in growing markets like China while taking on similar new products from key rivals like Bentley and Maserati. While those two competitors are owned by larger auto groups – Volkswagen and Fiat Chrysler, respectively – Aston is independent. It's brokered a deal with Mercedes (thanks once again in no small part to Investindustrial) to help with components it can't effectively develop in-house, but the cash injection will be critical to the brand's revival plans.

GM says second recalled ignition switch was made in China

Thu, Jun 26 2014

The defective ignition switch that led General Motors to recall an additional 3.4 million large sedans earlier this month was manufactured in China, according to a report filed with safety regulators obtained by Reuters. The switches can be knocked out of the run position, much like those affecting the Chevrolet Cobalt and other GM small cars, turning off the engine and safety systems like the airbags. Unlike GM's previous ignition switch recall, though, this latest issue will see dealers simply modify the key rather than replace the ignition switch outright, despite the fact that the switches were "slightly" below torque specifications. If what GM is claiming about this switch's origin is true, it'd mark the second high-profile recall of a part manufactured in China, following Aston Martin's (relatively) huge recall due to faulty accelerator arms in over 75 percent of the cars it had built since 2007. For what it's worth, from our perspective, the link between the Aston plastics and this GM switch seems just a bit too tenuous for us to put a lot of stock in GM's problems stemming from the location of its parts supplier, especially when the related investigation into its corporate culture has resulted in so many other culpable actors.
