2007 Aston Martin DB9 V-12 Volante Convertible 450 H.P. 11,000 Miles 2007 Aston Martin DB9 Volante 2-Door Convertible
Vehicle Description 2007 Aston Martin DB9 Volante Convertible 6.0 Liter V12 / 450 Horsepower 6 Speed Automatic / Navigation / Parking Sensors Mike's Place is proud to offer this 2007 Aston Martin DB9 Volante Convertible. The MSRP on this vehicle was over $180,000. Here is your chance to own this car for a lot less. The vehicle history report shows the mileage as accurate. Carfax does show this car was involved in some kind of accident on 1/19/12. I did not own this car in 2012 and have no way of knowing what kind of damage was done. The title is 100% clean. Reason to buy a Southern California car.............No Rust! Many vehicles from other states experience a rather hard life dealing with harsh weather conditions. Rain, snow, hail, salt roads and cold weather cause all kinds of issues both mechanically and cosmetically. So a California car may appeal to you. The 2007 Voante's top speed is no longer restricted to 165 mph. Aston Martin says the Volante's maximum speed is now 186 mph. The DB9's 6.0-liter V-12 produces 450 hp and 420 pounds-feet of torque. The ZF six-speed automatic transmission uses buttons to select Drive, Park, Neutral and Reverse. A Touchtronic manual mode permits gear changes using paddles behind the steering wheel. The DB9 can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds. The snug fabric roof is extremely well insulated, features a heated rear window, is fully power-operated and in just seventeen seconds, it will disappear beneath a solid hard tonneau cover that sits flush with the bodywork. Sensors can detect a potential rollover and deploy twin roll-bar hoops. Aston Martin says the windshield pillars can withstand twice the car's body weight. New for 2007, the Volante has new seats that incorporate standard head and thorax airbags, dual-stage heating and twin lumbar adjustment. The seats can be programmed to remember three separate settings. The interior is in really nice condition. The leather seats look very good. Both power seats function properly. The dash is in great condition. All the gauges seem to function properly and the digital display looks great. There are no check engine light or warning lights on of any kind. I tried all the buttons located on the dash and door panels and everything seemed to function properly. The air conditioning blows cold and the heater works. The door panels are all in great shape and all the power windows work properly. The radio works and the speakers sound great. We help transport about 90% of our cars sold. Aston Martin to replace Rapide with DBX crossover, Lagonda sedan
Thu, Apr 9 2015Aston Martin is known best for two-door coupes and convertibles, but it has a history with other body styles. And it looks like Aston's future includes more versatile door configurations. Speaking with Car and Driver at the New York Auto Show, the company's new CEO Andy Palmer reveals a two-pronged plan to replace the four-door Rapide. One will be a new Lagonda sedan; the other a production version of the DBX crossover concept. Detailing the overall strategy for the British automaker, Palmer said, "First is replacing the entire sports car range; second is the DBX, and that appeals to a different set of audiences; and the third is the sports sedan, which will carry [the Lagonda] badge." The Lagonda, Palmer revealed, will not be the Taraf we've already seen. Although sales of that model are expanding beyond its initial Middle Eastern market, it won't be coming to North America due to US crash-testing requirements and the vehicle's short production run. The next Lagonda sedan, however, is more likely to reach these shores. The DBX meanwhile is slated to switch to four doors from the coupe-like profile of the concept, but keep similar overall dimensions and that sleek roofline – albeit modified to make it more accommodating. The crossover will also replace the concept's electric powertrain with a more conventional engine. And while we wouldn't rule out the name carrying over, we wouldn't be surprised to see the DBX adopt another handle on the road to production.
Last original Aston Martin DBS found in barn headed to auction
Thu, Mar 5 2015There's still big money in auctioning off barn finds. For example, the relatively tattered 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider from the Baillon Collection is now the highest priced 250 GT ever after its recent sale for $18.5 million. UK auction house Coys is hoping to hit a similar goldmine with its upcoming offer of the final, original Aston Martin DBS ever made. This dinged and rusty 1972 DBS in a shade called Dubonnet Rosso rolled off the assembly line as the last of its type in September 1972. These models were meant for the Aston driver looking for a slightly larger GT car, and they sported a 4.0-liter inline-six. This one also has an automatic transmission and 40,000 miles indicated on the odometer. Unfortunately, it has been sitting in a barn in Surrey, England, since 1980. As is plainly obvious, this Aston Martin is far from perfect with busted windows and missing trim pieces. Stuffing straw in the open portions of it is probably taking the ratty look a bit too far, though. Still, the auction house estimates the final DBS to sell for between 25,000 and 40,000 pounds ($38,000-$61,500) when it crosses the block at the Royal Horticultural Society on March 10. A practically perfect 1970 example once driven by Roger Moore fetched the equivalent of $900,000 in 2014. THE ULTIMATE BARN FIND 02/03/15 from COYS The last original Aston Martin DBS to come off the production line has been found in a barn in Surrey and will be auctioned by international auctioneers COYS in London on March 10th. The car was discovered by Chris Routledge, the Managing Partner of the auction house, and is one of the features of COYS 'Spring Classics' auction at the Royal Horticultural Society. Aston Martin Mayfair is hosting the barn find car for a week before the event takes place. Chris Routledge said: "This is the ultimate barn find and an important part of Aston Martin's history. It has been sitting in a barn since 1980 and now needs to be brought back to its former glory." He added: "The windows are broken, the interior trim is missing and its rusty, but it's all there and there has been huge interest from collectors around the world.
