'89 Alfa Spider Quadrifoglio. Has the original Silver exterior with the top of the line Quadrifoglio interior...gray with red piping, red carpeting in the cabin and trunk. This car is mechanically sound, engine and gearbox are smooth. Powerfull twin overhead cam four cylinder fuel injected engine that loves to rev. Super Hartop and Softop with rear window cover to keep the window from getting damaged in the down position. Tool kit, manuals and very good records. Vehicle has been professionally maintained and suspension, Air conditioning and braking are all superb. This vehicle appears to have had a professional repaint and there is a small indendation (door ding that didn't penitrate the paint) on the pssgr. side rear midship area. The car runs superbly and handles fantastic. There is a smallcrack in the otherwise perfect dash near the defrost outlet. This car is reliable and dependable and sound mechanically, and electrically. Car starts easily and gets 25 city, 30+ Hwy miles per gallon. All maintenance has been timely and it shows. The car needs nothing but an enthusiastic driver/owner that appreciates Italian engineering and handling and of course the beautiful and timeless Pinifnfarina styiling that is sure to increase in value due to designers recent passing in 2012. These Alfa Spiders are works of art and  British or German vehicles of this era can't hold a candle to these when it comes to engines, transmissions styling and handling. The car is just a joy to drive and has the added benefit of the hard and soft tops for summer and winter use. Car has been garaged kept, has no rust and excellent tread on very recently replaced tires.  This is a car that I am going to regret selling as these (especially these top end Quadrifoglio's with the top of the line equipment and ground effects) will do nothing but appreciate in value from this day forward. Bid with confidence as I do not sell vehicles that have problems. Believe me, this car is top notch and ready to be driven daily or just on weekends....you decide.  Buyer is responsible for a $500 Paypal deposit within 24 Hrs of winning bid. Balance is due via Bank to Bank Wire transfer, Cashiers check or Cash within 7 days of auction close. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer and I will make every effort to coordinate with your transport carrier to facilitate a smooth transport experience, if not a local buyer. Good luck and Happy Motoring to the high bidder....you'll get yourself an awesome vehicle!

Alfa Romeo Stelvio to get a new rear-drive base version

Mon, Jul 2 2018

Good news for those who want an Alfa Romeo Stelvio but do not have the need for all-wheel drive: Alfa is reportedly introducing a cheaper, solely rear-drive version. It will still have plenty of power. Car & Driver is reporting that there will be a new, rear-wheel-drive base Stelvio for 2019, one that undercuts the current cheapest Q4 model by $2,000. That would mean a starting price of $41,440. However, the gap will widen slightly as the all-wheel-drive cars will see a price bump for 2019. The base model's only engine option will be the four-cylinder turbo, offering 280 horsepower and 306 lb-ft of torque. The transmission is the eight-speed automatic. C&D also says that the RWD versions will be kitted out more cheaply than AWD models, as a posher Ti version will always come standard with AWD. The new base models are likely to bear Q2 badging to differentiate them from the "quattro per quattro" Q4 models. And, if you're still willng to add a little something to the RWD Stelvio, there will be an available Sport package that offers 19-inch wheels and performance-oriented accessories such as aluminum pedals, painted brake calipers, paddle shifters and more. This does almost negate the price difference between the 2018 and 2019 base models, as it is said to cost $1,800.

Sell your own: 1991 Alfa Romeo Spider

Looking to sell your car? We make it both easy and free. Quickly create listings with up to six photos and reach millions of buyers. Log in and create your free listings. The relaunch of the Alfa Romeo franchise by FCA, while promising, is without the presence of Alfa's lovely Spider convertible. There is, of course, the mid-engine 4C Spider, but that's far more exotic and expensive. If you're looking for the charm of the original, at a more affordable price, you'll need to go back 20-plus years, when Alfa was last in America. What began as the boat-tailed Duetto in 1966, and evolved into the Kammback-profiled Spider around 1970, stayed in production with minimal changes through 1993. In 1983, U.S. bumper regulations began taking their visual toll, but that mod was minimized by the time this for-sale example was built. You won't find roadsters for under $15,000 with the charms of an Alfa Romeo. If it has a clean Carfax and credible pre-purchase inspection, this Spider could provide years of enjoyment. We doubt a '91 Spider will appreciate, but you can, well, still appreciate it. And it's in San Francisco, so make its purchase a vacation. This is the Alfa Romeo Tonale compact crossover in official images

Tue, Mar 5 2019

Alfa Romeo has unveiled the Tonale concept crossover at the Geneva Motor Show. The carmaker was able to keep the Tonale's name and design secret until yesterday, when images of the stand leaked online; the concept was revealed to be a shapely PHEV in metallic red. The concept will lead to a production vehicle, which will be Alfa Romeo's first CUV. Bared and shown in detail, the Tonale concept looks really good — dare we say, on par with recent Mazdas. It blends Stelvio styling cues into a smaller vehicle, but the concept still manages to look like its own thing, and perhaps even better than the bigger sibling. There are classic Alfa Romeo touches like phone-dial wheels, and the front end has a hint of the SZ and Brera coupes of earlier times. The interior, while largely concept-car-like, brings more Alfa styling to the table. The gauges are housed in traditional bucket shapes visible through the steering wheel, conjoined by a central display. There's a large central screen, underneath which runs a central tunnel covering that looks like muscle fiber, repeated in the door cards. The seats are styled like the racing buckets of a sports car. Alfa Romeo states that electrified power has been used for its own means, instead of Alfa bowing down to accept new standards. "The electrification of Alfa Romeo comes at the service of sportiness and emphasizes the famous 'Mechanics of Emotions' mission of the brand," as Alfa Romeo says. This also means the Tonale's hybrid branding will be discreet instead of obvious. The Tonale ("tonal," in English) is a plug-in hybrid, with a rear-mounted electric motor; however, any definite specifications as to the engine, the electric powertrain or the utilized platform remain unannounced. One detail emerges, though: Earlier, fossil-fuel-only Alfa Romeos have used the "DNA" selector for Dynamic, Natural or Advanced Efficiency modes; now the Dynamic mode has been changed to Dual Power, and the other end is Advance E, for full electric mode.
