1987 Alfa Romeo Spider Graduate Convertible 2-door 2.0l on 2040-cars
San Carlos, California, United States
1987 Alfa Romeo Spider VIN: 2arba5648h1dy5941 (CarFax available upon request) This Alfa has spent all of it’s life in California since brand new. The body is in good shape other than a few minor dings, however nothing major. The paint looks like it’s original and is shining in great shape. I am the the second owner and since I have owned the car I have made many improvements such as a new clutch which is still in brand new condition, major engine services have recently been done as well. The engine runs very strong and significantly better than other Alfa’s I have tried out. The wheels have been upgraded as well. The top is of canvas material and in great shape with a clear rear window. (as seen in pictures) Also included is a factory recommended roll-bar for safety. Interior is very clean and in great shape. I upgraded the previous radio to a new one that needs to be connected and has a CD player. Most Alfa’s throughout their lifetime have a dis-functional odometer which is why you see so many with unrealistic low mileage, even though these cars usually for occasional driving pleasure. The mileage on this vehicle reads the actual mileage and has never stopped working. I tried to the best of my ability and knowledge to describe the car and personally approved any repairs and necessary upgrades suggested by my mechanic. All parts on this vehicle are original, meaning they are Alfa Romeo factory parts. The condition of this sale is on an as-is basis, so please see all pictures carefully and ask me any or all questions you may have before engaging in bidding. This car is a part of my classic collection which I intend to reduce due to relocation to a smaller property. Please be noted that the previous two vehicles I sold were driven across the country both earning me excellent compliments upon arrival. Thank you and good luck! |

Alfa Romeo 4C coupe will be gone for 2019, but the Spider lives on
Thu, Jun 28 2018This post has been updated with confirmation from Alfa Romeo. Not with an expensive bang, but a barely audible whimper: That's the way Alfa Romeo's 4C sports coupe goes out. The slow-selling mid-engined car has been cut from the lineup for next year. An Alfa Romeo spokesperson has confirmed to Autoblog that the 4C coupe will be gone from Alfa's U.S. portfolio after the 2018 model year. It will remain for sale in this country while supplies last, and will still be produced for other markets around the world. View 12 Photos The 4C never sold in enormous numbers during its 2014-on tenure, but monthly sales have slowed down to just a couple dozen cars in the past year. In January, 12 were sold, with October 2017 a particular high point with 45 units delivered. By contrast, the strongest month was January 2015 with 97 4Cs sold. Not a single month has seen three-figure U.S. sales. Those sales figures seem to cover both 4C models, so we can only assume the coupe was the weaker part of those numbers. However, if a 4C is what you want, you don't have to give up on the dream. The open-topped Spider version remains on sale, but Motor Authority reports that it gets a $1,000 price hike for next year, to $66,900; at $55,900 the coupe was $10,000 cheaper than the open version, so those wanting one should act on it quickly. In addition, the racing-oriented Track Package will be unavailable after 2018. That included handling improvements like sturdier sway bars and better shocks, along with sportier wheels and tires. 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio is the priciest Alfa you can buy
Thu, Feb 15 2018Alfa Romeo has finally announced pricing for its Stelvio Quadrifoglio high-performance crossover, and it's not cheap. The base price is $81,590, which makes it the most expensive car in the Alfa lineup. The next most expensive is the Giulia Quadrifoglio at $75,295. That's a difference of roughly $6,000. And you can make the Stelvio even more expensive by optioning in Sparco carbon fiber shell racing seats or carbon ceramic brakes. Alfa hasn't revealed pricing for those, but expect the brakes to cost the same $8,000 that they do on the Giulia Quadrifoglio. You do get a lot of car for the money, though. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio gets the same twin-turbocharged, Ferrari-built V6 as its Giulia counterpart, still making 505 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque. That will take the car to 60 mph from a standstill in 3.9 seconds and on to a top speed of 177 mph. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio is also the current SUV lap time record holder at the Nurburgring. If the price seems acceptable to you, you'll be able to pick one up early this year. Alfa Romeo recalls Giulia and Stelvio — cruise control can go haywire
Fri, Mar 8 2019DETROIT — Fiat Chrysler is recalling more than 60,000 cars and SUVs worldwide because they can keep going on cruise control or accelerate even after a driver taps the brakes. The recall covers certain Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio models from 2017 through 2019. The company says a software error caused the problem, and it's advising people not to use the adaptive cruise control until it's repaired. The feature keeps moving vehicles a set distance from the cars in front of them. Fiat Chrysler says it's not aware of any crashes or injuries from the problem. Adaptive cruise control can still be turned off by stepping on the brakes for a longer time. Owners will be notified next month when they can schedule an update to the brake system software.
