Relisting for lower price!

I bought my Spider in 1994 from a dentist in Scottsdale, AZ. I have owned it for nearly twenty years and am only the third owner. This Spider was in superb condition when I bought it, and it is in better condition today. It has been carefully driven regularly. It has always been garaged. I lived in the Phoenix area for the first fourteen years of my ownership and in Dallas for the last five years - - NO RUST! Two months ago, I was transferred to the LA area and am forced to sell due to garage space limitations.

I have taken exquisite care of it, investing in long term mechanical and aesthetic restorations. I have personally overseen all phases of its care, having it serviced exclusively by handpicked Alfa Romeo specialists. No expenses were spared to maintain it in the condition it was when it left the factory. I never cut corners in the maintenance and restoration and never hesitated to pay top dollar for all parts and services. For twenty years, it has been “my baby.” I have all service receipts since 1994, and the original owner’s manual.

This low-miles Spider is an EXTREMELY rare find in this condition, in absolutely top shape (both in appearance and mechanical), an Alfa that has been lovingly cared for, and always returned to my fully-enclosed garage. This car is a true “gem.”

Small touches enhance an older, sought-after car to an outstanding classic machine, and this is it. This is an exceptional find, an '84 Alfa that has been METICULOUSLY maintained, cared for, zealously serviced, regularly driven and enjoyed, but protected over the years from the elements. Here are some small touches:

Waxed at least quarterly with Zaino Show Car Polish products (whether it needed it or not!).
Interior leather cleaned and treated quarterly.
The fine engine starts instantly, cold or hot.
Shifts smooth as silk.
Though not required, premium gas was always used.
Engine always allowed to warm up before driving.

In 2012/2013, the following mechanical, maintenance, and preventive maintenance services were performed by Alfa Romeo experts. As both the car and I got older, I decided not to wait for things to wear out due to age.

Touring dresses its Alfa Disco Volante in green and gold for Geneva [w/poll]

Sun, Mar 2 2014

If you watched the latest episode of Top Gear, you'll have seen Jeremy Clarkson driving a red version of Touring's Disco Volante around Italy, then showing off a silver-finished one in the studio back in the UK. But when the doors open at the Palexo for the 2014 Geneva Motor Show this week, Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera will have another version to show off. Pictured here, this version of the Disco Volante has been done up in dark green with gold accents for a treatment that looks decidedly less Italian and more British – something Colin Chapman (not to mention Green Bay football fans) would appreciate. We're not sure it's our favorite treatment of one of the most stylish cars money can buy (particularly with the rosso corsa grille and tailpipe inserts), but then we're not the one buying it. This example was likely produced for a specific customer. The Disco Volante, for those unacquainted, is essentially an Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione – already a looker in our books – that's been rebodied by reborn Milanese coachbuilder Touring. The carrozzeria was established back in 1926, went under in 1966 and was reborn in 2006, adopting the Superleggera moniker that its forebear coined when pioneering lightweight monocoque construction techniques. Since its revival it has worked its magic on Maseratis, Bentleys, Gumperts and more. The Disco Volante is made to order at what you can bet is a not unsubstantial price. 2022 Alfa Romeo Giulia, Stelvio get more safety, convenience features

Thu, Sep 30 2021

Although the 2022 Alfa Romeo Giulia sports sedan and the Stelvio crossover aren't significantly different for the new model year, they do boast a bunch of new features as standard. These include safety, convenience and the odd appearance feature. The trim names have been tweaked slightly, too, and base prices are up from last year. Leading the new standard features are safety ones. All Giulias and Stelvios now have blind-spot monitoring with emergency intervention, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, automatic high-beam headlights and front and rear parking sensors. As for convenience, all these Alfas get front and rear heated seats, navigation, wireless phone charging, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Finally, both Alfas get slightly sportier looks with dark trim. The Giulia and Stelvio Sprint and Veloce trims now have standard paddle shifters, and aluminum pedals have been added to select trims. 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio View 9 Photos Speaking of trim levels, the line-up has been slightly tweaked. Veloce replaces the Ti Sport trim level. Sprint still represents the base trim, with the regular Ti focusing on luxury. The Quadrifoglio trims carry on as well. Base prices have climbed for both models, though. The Giulia Sprint increases by $1,940 to $44,445, and the Stelvio Sprint goes up by $2,140 to $46,645. You can find base prices for all Giulia and Stelvio models listed below. Giulia Sprint: $44,445 Ti: $47,245 Veloce: $52,385 Quadrifoglio: $81,525 Stelvio Sprint: $46,645 Ti: $52,355 Veloce: $53,825 Quadrifoglio: $88,345 Related Video:

Next-gen Mazda MX-5 Miata mule spied 'Ring testing

Wed, 23 Oct 2013

Fans of simple, lightweight motoring, rejoice - we now have images of the next-generation Mazda MX-5 Miata undergoing testing at der Nürburgring Nordschleife. Now, to be fair, this isn't some lightly camouflaged example that will give us a great peak of what the next Miata, which will also become the next Alfa Romeo Spider, will look like. This is a mule, with the new bits hidden under a current Miata's body. That doesn't mean there aren't a few scraps of valuable information here, though.
According to our flock of camera-toting spies at the Nürburgring, the next Miata is likely to grow a bit, as new models are wont to do. In particular, it will be longer and wider, and the wheelbase is likely going to be stretched, based on the shape of the wheel wells and doors. Both of those factors will add more space in the cabin.
Those are the big indications provided by these photos, but while the MX-5 might be growing, it's a safe bet based on these images that it, and the (likely pricier) Alfa, will retain the classic, long-hood, short-deck styling that so typifies rear-drive roadsters.
