Beautiful '81 Alfa Spider finished in Ferrari Rouge Metallic with two-tone tan/black interior. Professionally refurbished, with conversion from Spica pump mechanical (and unreliable) fuel injected system, to dual Weber DOCE40 side draft carbs with velocity stacks and screen bonnet air filters. Paint is all new with to-the-metal refinish and $1k/gal. paint. Engine head and flywheel machined, tested and refit. New clutch, master/slave cylinders, re-chromed many pieces and replaced numerous tired parts. This car runs like a demon now and is a real thrill to drive. Receipts on-hand for many, many thousands of dollars in parts, etc. Best looking Alfa I've ever seen! While not a perfect show car, there is no doubt that both mechanically and esthetically, this car is a show stopper! Will consider all offers, but don't waste your time, or mine with lowballs or fishing expeditions.

Next-gen Mazda MX-5 Miata mule spied 'Ring testing
Wed, 23 Oct 2013Fans of simple, lightweight motoring, rejoice - we now have images of the next-generation Mazda MX-5 Miata undergoing testing at der Nürburgring Nordschleife. Now, to be fair, this isn't some lightly camouflaged example that will give us a great peak of what the next Miata, which will also become the next Alfa Romeo Spider, will look like. This is a mule, with the new bits hidden under a current Miata's body. That doesn't mean there aren't a few scraps of valuable information here, though.
According to our flock of camera-toting spies at the Nürburgring, the next Miata is likely to grow a bit, as new models are wont to do. In particular, it will be longer and wider, and the wheelbase is likely going to be stretched, based on the shape of the wheel wells and doors. Both of those factors will add more space in the cabin.
Those are the big indications provided by these photos, but while the MX-5 might be growing, it's a safe bet based on these images that it, and the (likely pricier) Alfa, will retain the classic, long-hood, short-deck styling that so typifies rear-drive roadsters.
Just 45% of Fiat dealers are profitable, and they're angry about it
Mon, 07 Oct 2013<
On average, Fiat dealers have only been selling about 17 cars a month.
We've been wondering for some time how Fiat dealers in North America have been getting along with just one model range in their showrooms up until recently. Franchisees spent millions building, stocking and manning sleek new 'studio' showrooms, only to have but a single model to sell, the cherubic 500. And even with its many derivatives, the Cinquecento is still an inexpensive model with its attendant lower margins. Perhaps it should come as no surprise then, that just 45 percent of US Fiat dealers are said to be profitable.
