I bought this car to restore it but numerous side projects and planning for my wedding coming up takes up too much time and so Id like to pass her on to someone with a true love for these beauties who has the time for her.  This car is a great restoration project.

Good condition, few nicks and chips in the paint-- can be touched up, no rust or structural damage, rear bumper has been replaced with bumper from earlier Alfa Spider model (chrome), looks better IMO. Leaks a few drops of oil here and there from the lower oil pan gasket. This is an easy/cheap fix.

This is the first fuel injected alfa spider. It uses the Spica mechanical fuel injection which was rebuilt by the previous owner and works well.

There is a fuel pressure regulator and the idle does need to be adjusted as it seems like it gives the engine too much gas when starting.

Has a Kill-Switch installed which needs to be held down while cranking in order to start (prevent theft etc)

New Parts/Repairs:
  • New Oil Vapor Separator
  • New Fuel Hose
  • New Door Handle (Needs installation)
  • Valves adjusted
  • New OEM Alternator
  • New radiator overflow
  • Convertible top is in great condition with no tears/wear etc
  • has a louder custom exhaust (put in by previous owner) --- might need a mount installed at an exhaust shop though
  • interior is in very good condition with no tears or rips on the seats (see photos)
The driver's side door handle needs to be repaired, i have the part already and its included. Also included is manuals and repair guides and a few extra parts.

No RUST cancer etc. California car. Always been garaged or covered.

Motor needs to be checked mechanically. No knocking, however cylinder #2 has low compression. This has to be dealt with prior to getting it smogged (please check your states smog laws ), I'm in California so the laws are the worst here. Even so, it turns on, and Runs. Has never overheated. I've driven this around and it has good oil pressure. Longest trip I've taken with it has been about a 2.5 hour trip and I didn't encounter issues.

I will upload a video of it running and revving in idle soon.

I registered and put the car in NON-OP so I could work on it, so there are NO fees etc, and the title is in my name.

This car gets plenty of compliments from those who both know its history and even those that don't. Lots of car for the money and I think these are appreciating in value as are the Datsun Roadsters and MGs.

Steering and handling is amazing. Car is super fun to drive around.

I can ship anywhere, and can even get good rates for shipping since I've dealt with car brokers across the country.

As with all used car sales- Car is AS IS WHERE IS, no refunds etc. Please read carefully including all details prior to bidding.
Good luck bidding.

Alfa Romeo to offer 4C buyers choice of headlights [w/poll]

Wed, Mar 19 2014

Typically an automobile will lose some of its more radical design elements on the road from concept to production, but Alfa Romeo has done things a little differently with the 4C... at least, that is, when it came to its headlights. When the sports car concept first debuted at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, it had an intriguing, glowing headlight design that seemed more stylish than functional. The headlight design stayed the same when Alfa repainted the concept from matte red to liquid silver for the Frankfurt Motor Show later that year, but when the 4C debuted in production form two years after concept's first showing, its headlights weren't any less strange. If anything, they were even more so, taking on a form that only a fly's optometrist could love. Things took a more conventional (and eye-pleasing) turn earlier this month when Alfa revealed the 4C Spider concept with not only a different roofline but also a new set of headlights. Those units are expected to make their way to production when the 4C Spider is finalized, but word has it that the roadster won't be the only one to get them. According to Autocar, the Italian automaker will offer new buyers of the 4C coupe the option to fit the Spider's headlamps instead of the strange-looking units on the hardtop model. The Spider, meanwhile, will only get the more conventional units. We've reached out to Alfa Romeo for confirmation, and have yet to hear back as we go to publish, but either way, the 4C remains – for the time being – a piece of forbidden fruit that we only wish we could get in the States as Alfa continues to plot its eventual return to the North American market. Only best-performing US Fiat dealers to get Alfa Romeo franchises

Mon, Feb 24 2014

Alfa Romeo has been rumored to return to the US market so many times for so many years, it's hard to keep count. This time, though, Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne promises that it's for real. Alfa is scheduled to reappear in the States this summer with its 4C sports coupe as its introductory model. However, buyers won't be able to pop into just any Fiat showroom and leave with a 4C – it's planning to only sell Alfas at its best-performing dealers, according to The Detroit News. In fact, the first 4Cs sold here won't be sold at Fiat dealers at all. Instead the first shipment of cars in June will go to Maserati dealers, not unlike the handful of Alfa 8C Competizione coupe and convertible models that trickled in starting in 2008. According to Fiat Chrysler spokesperson Rick Deneau, the company is still deciding which Fiat retailers will participate in Alfa's reentry. Many of Fiat's US dealers are apparently not happy with the meritocracy approach. They built Fiat showrooms partially on the promise that Alfa would enter the US market in 2012, then 2013, and now later this year. Even worse for them, the prospects for more mainstream Alfa Romeo models in the US are still questionable. This isn't the first time that we've heard that Fiat plans to keep Alfa Romeo exclusive in the US. Still, Fiat only plans to export about a 1,000 4C sports coupes a year here. If Alfa wants to be a legitimate player in America and be a money-making concern globally, it will need far more sales than that.
