Up for auction is a gorgeous Red 1967 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce Duetto Convertible.  Fully restored and ready to be enjoyed this summer.


This stunning Italian sports car was made famous in the Dustin Hoffman movie "The Graduate" and has become an American Icon ever since the movie came out in 1967.  This car is the exact car as the one in the movie.  Same spec, same colors and the same throaty growl when you fly through tunnels.

I have loved and enjoyed this car but unfortunately I have to sell it and I am hoping it goes to someone who will appreciate it and love it as much as I did.


I bought this car because it was a solid complete original unmolested Duetto, with plans to restore it to its original glory, and here is what was done to it:


Car was stripped, and taken to a reputable body shop in Philadelphia where dents and flaws were repaired, as was any superficial rust.
They block sanded the entire body, using as little filler as possible, 
They primered with PPG 2K primer 4 times with block sanding in between each coat and then sealed and prepped with PPG products.
The shop is Environmentally friendly using Waterborne paint (PPG Envirobase) and the paint is therefore state of the art, applied in an Italian made paint booth.
They sanded and polished the paint to finish.
Cost $12,000 .

The engine was blueprinted, and rebuilt with quality parts, gaskets, seals, and Borgo Pistons and liners.  
The crank was cut and polished to .020" over.  Cylinder head was gone over.
The trans was gone through and given a clean bill of health, and a new clutch and bearing was installed.  Shifts like butta.
The drivetrain cost $8,500

The carbs were rebuilt, the exhaust was replace entirely. (Except for the factory headers of course)
Restored wheels and hubcaps, with new Classic tires.
New OEM Robbins Canvas soft top.
New seats made with Naugahyde, and new foam (Pretty and very comfortable).  
The bottom was undercoated, the tank boiled, new brake lines, fuel lines pumps hoses etc.
All the electrics work 100% as they should including the rarely working four way flashers with the tear drop side markers. (very exciting )   This cost another $9,000


I wanted the car to be as original as possible to retain its '60s character so anything that did not need to be replace was cleaned up/restored and put back;
for example the Dash is probably the ONLY surviving original dash that does not have a plastic dash cap.

ALL instruments, glass lights switches, wipers heater and blower hazards, are ORIGINAL and working 100%

The car starts right up all the time every time.   It sounds fantastic; and is a absolute joy to drive.  Solid, confident, and gorgeous.
This car is a people magnet.

2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio Drivers' Notes Review | Everything you expect

The 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio is a performance crossover that goes head-to-head with models like the Porsche Macan and Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S. It takes the Giulia's 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 and stuffs it into a slightly more practical package. Crossovers are all the rage, and Alfa needs the Stelvio to be a hit if the brand has any hope of success in America. Performance models like this don't come cheap, but you get what you pay for. In addition to the performance parts like a torque-vectoring differential, Brembo brakes and 20-inch wheels with Pirelli summer tires, the Stelvio Quadrifoglio comes standard with features like blind-spot monitoring, a Harman Kardon sound system, a heated steering wheel and heated front seats. Options on this car include $2,200 for the Rosso Competizione paint and $1,500 for a drivers assistance package. Update: CarPlay and Android Auto are standard equipment. The listed price on our tester's window sticker was an error. Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore: I've been skeptical about the Stelvio. Aside from the famous Scudetto grille, what really makes this an Alfa — a good one, anyway? Eyeing them on the road I've been less than impressed. They look like generic crossovers, which is not the vibe Alfa should be giving off. Enter the Quadrifoglio. The 505-hp twin-turbo V6 makes the Stelvio addicting to drive. The 20-inch wheels with Alfa's signature five-hole design under the flared fenders propel this thing to style leadership. Factor in the four-leaf clover badges, and the Stelvio Quadrifoglio looks and feels special. Driving it is a riot. The interior feels legitimately athletic, too. The big, thin steering wheel with the start button and paddle shifters integrated in front of the driver do create a cockpit-like setting. Add in the leather, red stitching and carbon fiber, and it's a cool place to drive. After an energetic commute to the office, my thinking on the Stelvio had changed. Mazda and Fiat finalize deal for Alfa roadster, next-gen MX-5 Miata

Although a little bit later than expected, Mazda and Fiat have signed a final agreement that will bring a next-generation MX-5 Miata to the Japanese automaker and a new roadster to Alfa Romeo. When the proposed arrangement was announced back in May, the two automakers had hoped to seal the deal last year, but it doesn't appear that the production timeline for these cars has slipped any, with both expected to start rolling off assembly lines in 2015.
Other than a shared chassis with a rear-wheel-drive layout, it sounds like the two cars are still planned to be distinct in their own ways from their styling right down to their engines. Mazda will produce both cars at a plant in Hiroshima, Japan, but it isn't clear what role each automaker will play in the cars' developmental process. The big question, of course, is what clever portmanteau name we can come up with, like Toyobaru. Mazda Romeo is the easy choice, but Alfazda might roll off the tongue a little better.

1932 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Spider wins top prize at Villa d'Este

Every year, a selection of the most beautiful automobiles ever made travel to the shores of Lake Como in Italy, for the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. Only one of them can be named the belle of the ball, however, and this year, top honors went to a classic 1930s-era Alfa Romeo. The 1932 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Spider owned by American collector David Sydorick won the Best in Show award. The deep red roadster is entered the circle of finalists after winning the B class for "Pre-war sports cars which defied the Great Depression." The classic Alfa features coachwork by Zagato. The coachbuilder notes that another one of its creations – a 1956 Maserati A6G/54 also owned by an American collector – won the post-war class. The modern Maserati-powered Mostro, which Zagato revealed at the concours and delivered to its first customer, did not win the Concepts and Prototypes class. (But we've included an updated image gallery below just the same). That award went to the Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6. The people's choice Coppa d'Oro was awarded to the 1950 Ferrari 166 MM Barchetta by Touring, while a 1973 Munch-4 TTS-E won the motorcycle category.
