Selling with no reserve is this 1986 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce. This car has had the same owner for almost twenty years, my elderly neighbor for whom I am listing this car. 2.0 liter, 4 cyl, five speed. It has a medium blue exterior, with tan leather seats and black carpet. Completely original paint, interior and black convertible top. Never any rust, never any collision damage or body work. Very solid underneath. Factory paint in very good condition, considering it is 27 years old. There are some scratches, a few dings in the trunklid, and some minor chipping here and there. Convertible top fully functional, but also shows wear and some abrasions. Interior also in good shape, though shows wear commensurate with the age of the car. Factory alloy wheels are very good. Car starts easily and drives well. Shifts well, including second gear. No leaks that I have seen. Lights, wipers, horn, signals, radio and guages all work. Passenger side power window not working. 40,500 original miles. New battery. Older Pirelli tires with at least 50% tread. Small split in passenger side front bumper. This is an honest car that needs little and can be driven now. It has been stored for past few years and should be gone through--fluids, etc. Clear title in hand. $500 deposit through Paypal within 48 hrs of auction end, and balance due by certified funds within seven days--no exceptions. Buyer responsible for shipping. Car needs to be picked up promptly. Selling with no reserve, so bid to buy!!

Alfa Romeo returns to F1 as Sauber title sponsor
Wed, Nov 29 2017LONDON - Alfa Romeo will become title sponsor of the Sauber Formula One team next season as part of a multi-year technical and commercial partnership, both sides announced on Wednesday. "This agreement with the Sauber F1 Team is a significant step in the reshaping of the Alfa Romeo brand, which will return to Formula One after an absence of more than 30 years," Fiat Chrysler chief executive Sergio Marchionne said in a statement. Sauber announced in a statement of their own that the team will officially be known as the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team from 2018 onwards. "Working closely with a car manufacturer is a great opportunity for the Sauber Group to further develop its technology and engineering projects," Sauber Holding AG chairman Pascal Picci said. "We are confident that together we can bring the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team great success, and look forward to a long and successful partnership."Reporting by Alan Baldwin.Related Video: Image Credit: REUTERS/Ueslei Marcelino Motorsports Alfa Romeo Racing Vehicles F1 Sergio Marchionne FCA
This modernized Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint looks great, sounds even better
Tue, Feb 9 2016No matter how good something may be, there's always room for improvement. A UK company called Alfaholics builds an overhauled version of the famous Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint that's supposed to be capable enough to hassle a modern Porsche 911 around the Nordschleife. It's difficult to spot any of the upgrades from the outside, but Charles Morgan shows off the updated performance in a new video from Carfection. The Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint is a memorable sports coupe that was made in the '60s and '70s, and it sports a gorgeous body from the pen of a then-17-year-old Giorgetto Giugiaro. Alfaholics takes this fantastic platform and adds modern suspension components, upgraded brakes, carbon fiber body panels, and a 240-horsepower engine. These tweaks bring the weight down to about 1,830 pounds and allow for a lap around the Nordschliefe in less than 8 minutes at the hands of a skilled driver. As opposed to just going for outright performance, Alfaholics tries to keep its tuned Giulia Sprint somewhat authentic to the original version. As Morgan shows in this video, the result of the company's work is a coupe with superb handling and an intoxicating exhaust note. Related Video:
Alfa SUV on pace for 2016 launch
Mon, Aug 3 2015While other parts of FCA's five-year plan are reportedly being shifted around, the timeline for Alfa Romeo is holding firm. The Italian brand is now hard at work on its crossover, which arrives after the Giulia sedan. Everything is on schedule for a mid-2016 debut too, according to Automotive News, and US sales would reportedly come late that year or in early 2017. Codenamed Project 949, Alfa's crossover shares its underpinnings with the Giulia and is sized to take on premium entries in the segment, like the BMW X3, Automotive News reports. The model is the Italian brand's first production CUV. The plan for a crossover has been percolating for years, as evidenced by the 12--year-old Kamal concept (pictured above). The Giulia and CUV are two of the eight new models Alfa wants to launch by 2018. In the five-year plan, Alfa execs also discussed two compacts, another crossover, a second midsize sedan, a fullsize sedan, and a specialty product. While not all of these might come to the US, the brand has set a goal to see a dramatic global sales jump to 400,000 units. "We are taking a very hard look at the sequencing of the products that we are launching to make sure that we get the biggest bang for the buck from the utilization of the architecture in terms of volumes," FCA boss Sergio Marchionne said, according to Automotive News.
