1987 Alfa Romeo Spider Quadrifoglio desirable Black/Gray/Red combination. This Quadrifoglio is a totally unrestored example spider. She has all books, records dating back to new including service receipts, owners manual and original window sticker. The car has had 3 previous owners since new. The cars autocheck score 54 out of 50 shows 2 owners but does not go back to 1987. The autocheck is clean with no reported accidents. The paint on the car is original and is excellent with only a few small blemishes. The nose does have small chips. I did not respray this as I wanted to keep this car original. This Alfa runs like a clock. The motor revs freely, the transmission shifts perfectly , the clutch feels great, steering and suspension very tight. This Alfa has newPirelli P6 tires, wheels are not curbed. The interior on this car is like new. The seats have almost no wear, door panels outstanding, original red carpet excellent. The dealer installed a Blaupunkt radio with cd shuttle in the trunk when new,Alpine speakers were added. A stunning wooden Momo steering wheel and wood shifter add the finishing touches to the interior. A new cloth soft top is now getting installed pic will be added over the weekend.I think one would be hard pressed to find a nicer original example Quadrifoglio.Bid with confidence or give me a call 561 287 1277 with any questions. South Florida viewing appointments are encouraged. Nationwide shipping can be arranged at competitive prices(at buyers expense). I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime. Car is also advertised locally.See my other ebay Alfa Spider listings.

Marchionne uses racial epithet to describe what must power future Alfa Romeo models

Wed, 16 Jan 2013

Sergio Marchionne and his Fiat empire have a lot riding on the US return of the Alfa Romeo brand. The endeavor has been in progress for what feels like a lifetime - certainly for as long as Fiat has had the Chrysler brand under its Italian wing.
It's not surprising that Fiat CEO Marchionne needs a perfect first Alfa to mark a return to America. And here's where things get dicey. Nobody would argue with Marchionne's insistence that Alfa Romeo's be powered by Italian engines - as Marchionne himself is quoted to have said at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, "There are some things that are well done in Italy."
If not what he said, then, it's how he said it that has eyebrows raised. "I cannot come up with a schlock product, I just won't. I won't put an American engine into that car. With all due respect to my American friends, it needs to be a wop engine." Wait, what's that?

Just 45% of Fiat dealers are profitable, and they're angry about it

Mon, 07 Oct 2013

On average, Fiat dealers have only been selling about 17 cars a month.
We've been wondering for some time how Fiat dealers in North America have been getting along with just one model range in their showrooms up until recently. Franchisees spent millions building, stocking and manning sleek new 'studio' showrooms, only to have but a single model to sell, the cherubic 500. And even with its many derivatives, the Cinquecento is still an inexpensive model with its attendant lower margins. Perhaps it should come as no surprise then, that just 45 percent of US Fiat dealers are said to be profitable.

CEO says Volkswagen's buying spree is over

Mon, 03 Sep 2012

After adding Italian motorcycle icon Ducati to its stable and spending $5.6 billion on the rest of Porsche, Volkswagen CEO Martin Winterkorn says he's done shopping for a while.
"We have enough to do at the moment in taking our twelve brands to where we want to be," Winterkorn tells German newspaper Handelsblatt.
