1986 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce - Low Miles / Super Clean on 2040-cars

Year:1986 Mileage:39270
Location:

Suwanee, Georgia, United States

Suwanee, Georgia, United States

1986 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce with ONLY 39,270 original miles !! This car is all original, with no aftermarket accessories or modifications. The wiring is original and untampered.

The Original Owner kept this vehicle stored indoors, covered and unused, in her basement for many years. Last winter she decided to free up the space and I bought it (I'm the 2nd owner). After charging the battery, it started on the first try!

All current repairs and maintenance were performed by ASE Master certified technicians at an ASE/AAA certified shop. The following components were replaced.
4 new Michelin tires, Battery, Water Pump, Radiator Hoses, Brake Master Cylinder, Fuel Pump (in tank), Fuel Pump (frame mounted), Fuel Tank acid dipped and coated, Fuel Filter, Spark Plugs, Ignition Wires
Had the original factory Stereo Radio serviced and replaced 4 new Kenwood 3-way speakers in original mountings and grilles
Replaced fluids, including factory spec 20W50 synthetic motor oil, radiator coolant, manual transmission fluid, differential gear lube

This is the original convertible top! Look at the color and condition. Look through the rear window plastic (yes, it's original). The top folds easily, mates with windshield properly, and seals well.

The Interior is in excellent shape. The leather seats (original) have no tears, holes or split seams. The carpeting is in excellent condition.

Everything on the car works, all lights, fans, horn, etc..The car comes with the original owners manual.

Earlier this spring I took the car on a 200 mile ride through the North Georgia mountains. It ran great and was a blast to drive on curvy mountain roads with the top down, the sun shining, and the tunes cranking!

The car has some minor paint chips and dings that you would expect on a 28 year old car.

This modernized Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint looks great, sounds even better

Tue, Feb 9 2016

No matter how good something may be, there's always room for improvement. A UK company called Alfaholics builds an overhauled version of the famous Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint that's supposed to be capable enough to hassle a modern Porsche 911 around the Nordschleife. It's difficult to spot any of the upgrades from the outside, but Charles Morgan shows off the updated performance in a new video from Carfection. The Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint is a memorable sports coupe that was made in the '60s and '70s, and it sports a gorgeous body from the pen of a then-17-year-old Giorgetto Giugiaro. Alfaholics takes this fantastic platform and adds modern suspension components, upgraded brakes, carbon fiber body panels, and a 240-horsepower engine. These tweaks bring the weight down to about 1,830 pounds and allow for a lap around the Nordschliefe in less than 8 minutes at the hands of a skilled driver. As opposed to just going for outright performance, Alfaholics tries to keep its tuned Giulia Sprint somewhat authentic to the original version. As Morgan shows in this video, the result of the company's work is a coupe with superb handling and an intoxicating exhaust note. Related Video:

US-spec Alfa Romeo 4C Spider caught naked at a photo shoot

Tue, Dec 23 2014

The Alfa Romeo 4C Spider is getting ready for its reveal and market roll-out, which means it's time to put together broadcast materials, and that means the open-roof coupe has to venture outside. Someone caught a few photos of a yellow example during one such jaunt in Andalusia, Spain during photo and television work, and based on this glimpse we'll happily welcome it to our shores. Yes, we felt the same way when we saw the concept introduced at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, and except for two small changes, it's the same car. This production version has an air inlet on the driver's side just ahead of the rear wheel said to improve cooling for the dual-clutch transmission, and the centrally mounted exhaust pipes on the concept have moved to the corners. It also wears the concept's wheels and the conventional headlights, instead of the arachnid units best suited for getting the attention of mating wolf spiders. We shouldn't have too much longer to wait for information on the car's weight gain and performance, as well as its roof panel operation. Until then, head over to www.autoblog.it and Carscoops for a few more on-location shots.

Watch Alfa Romeo's slightly suggestive lifestyle ad for the 4C

Sun, Jan 4 2015

We haven't watched a car ad with this much European panache in quite some time - and let us be clear, we're using the phrase "European panache" in its marketing sense, which is code for "women in lingerie." But it's Alfa Romeo and it's Italy and it's the 4C and what else would we ever have expected? Alfa Romeo USA has posted a two-minute spot talking up the technology and capabilities of the of 4C, with beauty shots of the car augmented by an amorous pantomime between two beautiful people wearing a whisper of clothing and some un-subtle editing; like when the phrase "pure seduction" is matched to the 4C's rear end and... some lovely lady lumps. It's totally safe for work, but that doesn't mean you want it rolling when the boss walks by. And speaking of the above phrase, we're wondering if the coupe's exterior designers signed off on "The inexplicable design of the 4C is pure seduction." Inexplicable? Check it out in the video above.
