Alfa Romeo 4C will be refreshed for the 2019 model year

Alfa Romeo Chief Technical Officer Roberto Fedeli said at a launch event for the Stelvio Quadrifoglio that an updated version of the 4C is coming next year as a 2019 model. "We are coming back to Formula 1," he said, "and we need the 4C to be our halo car," Fedeli told Autocar. But don't expect to see the refresh bring with it a manual transmission. No future high-performance models from Alfa, Maserati, or even Ferrari will be getting clutch pedals anytime soon, a decision reportedly made after Ferrari spent 10 million euros developing a manual gearbox for the California a few years back only to see exactly two customers choose the option over an automatic. We'd hazard a guess that Alfa will tone down its carbon-fiber 4C for the next generation. As fun as the little sportscar is on a race track, it's equally jarring to drive on regular roads. Vintage Alfa Romeo racer leads double life on Petrolicious

Like many of us Bradley Price wanted to go racing, and he didn't have the space or budget to buy both a track toy and a hauler. However, he came up with a far more elegant solution than crowding his garage with extra equipment. Price picked up an Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider Veloce and started driving it to events in the Vintage Sports Car Club of America. The latest clip from Petrolicious shows his laid back journey on the road for a day of motorsports at Lime Rock Park. Price's simple approach means he just needs to unpack his stuff at the track, and he can be ready for the afternoon. The VSCCA is also the perfect place for this relaxed attitude. According to Price, the events allow a community of racers to enjoy their classic cars together. He admits that no form of motorsports is cheap, but taking things casually makes the situation a little easier. Petrolicious' cinematography and sound mixing also shine in this new video. The camera is right in the action, and it gives the viewer a great look at how these vintage racers slide around.

Amazon opens contest for The Grand Tour tickets in the US

With Top Gear getting a major shakeup with the departure of Chris Evans, we're itching to see Clarkson, Hammond, and May behind the wheel of cars again. The trio, it seems, is also excited to get the new show rolling as Clarkson posted a drifty video on his Facebook page. The trio are currently in Italy filming a comparison between an Aston Martin DB11, a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, and Rolls-Royce Dawn.
