For sale a 1974 Alfa Romeo Spider. This is a rust free smog exempt California car I own since 1992. The car went in 1993 through a complete restoration. At this time the floor boards were replaced, the car was painted and the interior was replaced.  The seats were recovered with leather and the carpet was replaced.  I also closed up the side marker holes and added the Euro side markers with the Euro rear bumper.

I drove the car from 1994 to 2001 for 7000 miles only in dry weather and stored it since then. During that time I replaced the tires, shocks (Bilsteins) and rebuild the engine to the European spec (131 HP).

The engine has 10:1 pistons, Euro cams and Dellorto carburetors with a Petronix ignition. I also added an electric fan.

The car has been re - registered a month ago and I drove it for approximately 100 miles.  The paint looks overall good and shiny, but it has a few scratches and dings from storage. The dashboard does not have any cracks.

The car comes with a few boxes of original parts (Spica fuel injection). I replaced the battery and master brake cylinder a few weeks back and the engine just went through a complete tune up including valve, timing, ignition and carburetor adjustment.

Here are a few things that need attention:

- Fuel gauge does not work

- Horn does not work (plastic isolator on steering wheel missing)

- Underhood lights need new ground switch

- Paint has a few scratches and marks (see pictures)

Please feel free to contact me, if you like to check out the car.

After adding Italian motorcycle icon Ducati to its stable and spending $5.6 billion on the rest of Porsche, Volkswagen CEO Martin Winterkorn says he's done shopping for a while.
"We have enough to do at the moment in taking our twelve brands to where we want to be," Winterkorn tells German newspaper Handelsblatt.
