All Original Daily Driver Survivor, Orig Paint,159k Orig Mi, Great Maintenance Care from Alfa/Italian Car Shops all of its life. Does Not leak 1 drop of any oils, passes California Smog with ease. This Alfa 164s is a great Dependable Durable Car and can be driven anywhere however the tires are very worn down. This car gets a lot of attention every time you take it out. Never smoked in, no air fresheners, cold a/c, heater/defroster, power seats and roof working. All gauges working, Original miles, clean Calif Title, many items replaced over the years to keep most every little item working as it should. Clear coat peeled off on Roof and Trunk, many chips in front hood paint, driver seat seams coming apart. Ready for 4 new Tires.

Recent Work: Timing belt/water pump and hoses at about 150k, new clutch and semi rebuilt transmission about 145k, new exhaust/cat around 152k, recent oil changes, trans service, brakes, battery, a/c charge, new tags. The car comes with Spare Tire, jack, handle, wheel wrench, owners manuals, 2 original keys. Orig AM/FM Cass Stereo, with original speakers sounds great with electric antenna! The engine runs perfect!
Very fast Car, but I have babied it. These engines are capable of running very high miles over 400k. I have been driving Alfa V6 engines for 20 years. This is not a show car or in mint condition, but is a 23 year old original body and paint daily drive car. I believe this engine can run more than 300k miles easily.

Misc items that could be repaired include: Tires getting very worn down, front shocks, left front fog light bulb, cruise control (maybe a rely)
head light washers, Seat Heaters (maybe a rely) Could use the roof and truck repainted but I wanted to keep the car original paint so opted to leave as is. No dents/dings, no rust, mostly kept in garage for more than half its life. Right Rear Hub cap missing, Hood and trunk struts worn out, (wooden support sticks included) Great Car! I am moving over sea's and can not import it to the Country I am going to. PLease ask any questions you like, I have 90 pics of this car just taken March 18th, 2014. Located in San Diego, Ca USA. This is a great Car and I am very proud of it. You can see 90 pics at kevingerard.com Thank you

Mysterious Maserati test mule could be upcoming Alfa Romeo Giulia

Mon, Dec 8 2014

Well well well, what have we here? The truth is that we don't know. It seems to be a Maserati Ghibli, but since that model is already out on the market, we're likely looking at something else. Just what is the question, and the answer likely lies in the wheelbase. While this test mule, spied undergoing cold-weather testing in northern Sweden, is clearly wearing the bodywork (and likely most of the mechanical bits) from the Ghibli, it's riding on a shortened wheelbase. Which tells us this could be one of two things: it's likely to be a test mule either for the upcoming Maserati Alfieri sports car, or for the new Alfa Romeo Giulia. The Alfieri was presented in concept form at the Geneva Motor Show back in March, foreshadowing a new sports car to serve as a halo model in the Maserati lineup. The production version is expected to be smaller and nimbler than the existing GranTurismo and positioned against the likes of the Porsche 911, Jaguar F-Type and Mercedes-AMG GT, to name just a few. The Giulia, meanwhile, is slated to be the first all-new Alfa Romeo since the arrival of the 4C last year and the Italian marque's first mainstream model since the launch of the Giulietta in 2010. The new sedan is expected to go after the likes of the BMW 3 Series and the new Jaguar XE, slotting in below the larger Maserati Ghibli that seeks to challenge the 5 Series and XF. If this is indeed a test mule for the new Alfa sedan, the quad tailpipes would seem, as our spy photographers point out, to indicate it's laying the groundwork for the GTA performance version. One way or another, there's something enticing to be coming soon from Italy, so watch this space.

Alfa Romeo Giulietta facelift to ape Giulia

Sun, Oct 4 2015

When a brand launches a big, bad flagship model, it's only natural that it would seek to tweak the styling of its lesser models to more closely resemble the top dog. For Alfa Romeo, that means instilling a bit of Giulia style in the Giulietta hatchback. And that, in turn, means a new, more aggressive fascia. While these shots show the same kind of dopey headlights featured on the current Giulietta, our spies report that they'll be tweaked to reflect the sharper grille and bolder lower bumper. Even if the shape of the headlights is retained, the look inside the housing will likely change. Changes in back are more subtle, although we can expect the taillights and rear bumper to be retouched. Changes should come to the cabin, too, as indicated by the camouflage inside. Again, though, these are likely to be of the mid-cycle refresh variety, so don't European consumers should expect a dramatic transformation over the current car. Check out the full gallery of spy photos at the top of the page, and keep an eye open for the facelifted Giulietta when it debuts next year at Geneva. Related Video:

The Effeffe Berlinetta is a brand new 1960s Italian GT

Fri, Apr 8 2016

You're looking at a brand new car, not one that has spent 50 years under a tarp in some barn in the Italian countryside. The vintage-looking Berlinetta, dreamed up by the brothers Frigorio, has been in the works for a number of years now. It was initially unveiled at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este two years ago, and the official introduction will be held at the Top Marques show in Monaco next week. As it stands, it offers a fascinating glimpse into the way sports cars used to be built, with virtually nothing to let a casual observer know that it's factory fresh. The drivetrain on the two-seater Berlinetta is classic Italian, using a front-mid-mounted Alfa Romeo Twin Cam four-cylinder, which originally dates back to 1971 in design. Naturally, the two-liter unit is coupled to a five-speed manual gearbox, and the two Weber DCOE carburetors finish off the power figures at 180 horsepower at 6,500 rpm. The car follows classic Alfa Romeo lines, but isn't a direct replica, rather a tribute to Italian GT car building half a century ago – the chassis is a handmade tubular spaceframe and the entire Berlinetta will weigh less than 1,760 lbs. There are disc brakes front and rear, and while the front suspension is independent, the rear relies on a solid live axle complete with a Watt's linkage setup. And – of course – it sits on wire wheels with center knock-off lugs. As for the interior, it will all be custom-made and tailored to the buyer's taste, and each car will be unique. The full Matteograssi leather interior includes a matching luggage set, too, and the driver will be holding a wooden Nardi steering wheel. What kind of price would you expect for something like this? The Frigerio brothers have priced their small-series creation at nearly $320,000. That includes some track time to get to grips with one's new 1960s sportscar, and the chassis settings will be fine-tuned to one's personal preferences. There are plans to widen the portfolio with another model, and we're hoping that will be a drop-top Spider made in the same style.
