US $4,000.00
Year:1995 Mileage:179211

ITEM DESCRIPTION:   Selling my 1995 Alfa Romeo due to having a hard time finding qualified Alfa Romeo technician in Phoenix, AZ.  The car has been in my family since brand-new, purchased off the showroom floor at ALGAR Enterprises Inc. in Rosemont, PA.  It has always been garage kept and well maintained with thousands of dollars in receipts.  It now has 179K miles, no accident damage/clean CARFAX report, clean and clear Arizona title,  runs and drives beautifully but has the following issues that would need to be addressed:

AC compressor bearing is failing will need to be replaced.

Driver side door only opens from outside due to broken cable on inside door handle

Rear tires in good condition, front tires will need to be replaced

Front leather seats are rough, rear in good condition

Hood and trunk do not stay open

Small dent on right rear panel (photo11)

The factory carpet on driver's side is damaged by battery acid spill and covered by Alfa Romeo floor mats

Passenger side mirror adjuster does not work.

Front windows and sunroof work, rear windows do not

Gas cap needs to be opened from inside of trunk, electric opener does not work

Has minor scratches from normal use.

Bumper covers look fair but have some fading

Although it needs some attention, it is a solid running, beautiful exotic car with shortcomings to be expected from a 18 year old vehicle.  There are very few miles on clutch and belts (replaced last year with the car only being driven on weekends)  Lights and turn signals in good working order, heater works, AC will need freon charge and compressor bearing replacement.  I have described this car to the best of my ability and I would be happy to answer any questions and concerns you may have.  Best method of contact would be through eBay message as I work in an area with intermittent phone coverage 602-281-2918.  Reserve is very realistic compared to completed listings of such a rare car.  Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and I will be glad to assist with any necessary shipping arrangements.

Alfa Romeo's midsize sedan due in June, and we'll get it

Wed, Nov 26 2014

As the calendar shifts, so do Alfa Romeo's plans. At the LA Auto Show, Harald Wester, head of Alfa Romeo, said the brand would unveil its second US model – after the 4C – next June, but he wouldn't identify the type of car. A report in Automotive News Europe, quoting sources, says that it will be a midsize sedan in the mold of the erstwhile 159 (pictured) that was supposed to become the Giulia but now has a new brief and perhaps a new name. "Giulia" should be familiar because we've been hearing about it for more than three years – in fact it was 2011 when it was thrown back on the drawing board for a complete redesign. Last year the plan – or the anonymously-sourced bits of the plan that we kept getting – were for the platform to go rear-wheel drive and do duty for both a BMW 3 Series and 5 Series competitor. ANE's latest intel is that the coming midsize sedan will be come in between the 3 Series and 5 Series – a strategy used by the original Cadillac CTS – slotting in beneath a "flagship sedan" that would fit between the 5 Series and 7 Series. That would appear to contradict a direct challenge to the entry-level segment's standard-bearer, and perhaps the M3, too. Those two Alfa sedans would be part of an eight-model onslaught happening over the next four years, which is a new matrix compared to April of this year when that was reported to be six models over the next five years. ANE says work has started on three of them, a midsize SUV said to be the third. The push is to get Alfa to 400,000 annual sales – 100,000 more than the April target – with the US accounting for 150,000 of that. News Source: Automotive News Europe - sub. req. Share price falls on skepticism of Chrysler-Fiat five-year plan

Thu, 08 May 2014

Following this week's Fiat Chrysler extravaganza, where the Italian-American manufacturer announced its plans for the next five years, the Autoblog staff was cautiously optimistic of the company's future. Investors? Not so much.
Fiat saw its shares tumble 12 percent in Wednesday's trading, falling from 8.67 euros ($12.06 at today's rates) to 7.44 euros ($10.35) as of this writing, with blame partly going to the Italian half of the FCA marriage, which recorded a pretty significant drop in profits during the first quarter of this year.
The plan, which will cost around $77 billion over the next several years, is facing criticism from investors thanks in part to a 1.4-percent drop in Fiat's first-quarter profits, to 622 million euros ($862 million). That figure is also short of Bloomberg analysts' projections, which predicted $1.18 billion in profits before taxes, interest and one-time items.

We're not getting the Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce, and that's fine

Wed, Sep 21 2016

Alfa Romeo revealed today that a special edition of the Giulia sports sedan called "Veloce" will make its debut in Paris. It's only slated for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, but before you start lamenting that the US will once again miss out on a cool Euro-spec sedan, we have some good news: it's nothing special. The Giulia Veloce is just a normal Giulia with an appearance package and a fancy name. It comes with either the 280-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder gas engine, which we will get in 276-hosepower trim, or the 210-horsepower diesel four-cylinder. From there, Alfa throws in options like Q4 all-wheel drive, 19-inch 5-hole wheels, a tweaked front bumper, sport seats and steering wheel, rear diffuser and black window trim. That's it. Well that, and one of the Veloces at the show will sport a new color of blue, but it's not clear if that's a package-exclusive color or just another option. Many of these components will be available in the US, including the all-wheel drive, wheels, and, based on the American Alfa website, probably the black window trim. It's just that they won't all come in one package. And even if a few pieces of vehicle flair don't make it here, we're still not going to lose sleep over an appearance package. If you really need to be upset about something, perhaps consider the fact that we probably won't see Giulias on dealer lots until early next year. And that's just our best guess since we don't have an official launch date yet. Now that's something worthy of some frustration. Related Video:
