1993 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce on 2040-cars
Castaic, California, United States
I am selling my Alfa due to deteriorating health. She has never been wrecked or molested and has only 38 thousand miles. Unlike most of the ones you encounter the speedometer works along with the Air condition system which blows cold and has been converted to R134.
As the milage suggests, the transmission and the clutch are perfect and the engine noise is howit should be when it is idling. Everything works on the car bar a couple of things that I have listed below. The soft top is perfect and the hard top comes with the car. The seats and the dash are excellent and I am including the bikini seat covers that you see in the pictures. There are a trunk load of spare parts both new and used that I received from the previous owner, again visible in the pictures. They include a new set of four adjustable suspension kit. There is a very nice and sturdy chassis reinforcement already installed underneath the car There is no rust on the car. The title is florida clean title. I purchased it about a few months ago from the son of the elderly owner who had passed away, and was an avid Alfa enthusiast. The car had been sitting for approximately 4 years when the owner was battling with alzheimer's. There are no exterior or interior damages and the wheels are also in great condition. She surely is an eye cacher and people always complement me or ask me questions everywhere I park the car. The triple black is a very desirable and luxurious package especially with the matching hard top. The Veloce model come with a set of 5 preferred 15 inch telephone dial factory alloy wheels. Things that need attention: The original stereo either does not work or needs the code that I remember seeing hand written in the booklets that came with the car. The starter solenoid works intermittently some times needing a couple of extra twists of the ignition key, and sometimes it won't engage when it is hot. While in my possession, the key got stuck in the ignition switch. I found a used steering column and installed it, but I kept the original just to sow the original set of keyes, also I noticed the bushings in the one that I bought are not as perfect as the original one, so you can exchange the switch and install it back in the car if you want to. I am describing the car as best as I can, and pictures are there to prove my honesty, no need to lie. The reserve is very low for a car of this magnitude. I am always available to answer any questions or concerns at(818)822-8227 Thanks Roger PS: Let"s keep Ebay clean and clutter free. It is for our own good. I have used Ebay to sell a couple of cars through the years and have nothing but good to write about them. Good luck God bless our nation. |

Fiat brings raft of special-edition hatchbacks to Geneva
Wed, Feb 25 2015The annual Geneva Motor Show presents a prime opportunity for any automaker – European ones especially – to show off new metal. You'd figure that would include the sprawling Fiat Chrysler Automobiles group, but instead, one of Europe's largest automakers will be presenting a series of special-edition hatchbacks for the European market. Yeah, we're as disappointed as you are. First up is the Fiat division itself, which will be showcasing the Vintage '57 edition of the 500 and the Panda K-Way. The former puts an even more retro spin on the already-retro hatchback, with a two-tone pastel blue-and-white exterior, 16-inch white-and-chrome wheels and a tobacco-leather interior. The latter was designed in collaboration with the famous rainwear label, K-Way, and features mix-and-match exterior color combinations, titanium-finish trim and a specially crafted interior. Alfa Romeo will be celebrating the European debut of the 4C Spider we already saw in Detroit. In terms of new debuts, Alfa also has the elegant Collezione edition of the Giuletta and the MiTo Racer edition with gray and brown trim that looks, at first blush at least, much more subtle than the name would convey. Though no longer a major player in the Fiat portfolio, Lancia is showcasing the 30th Anniversary and Elle editions of the Ypsilon – the car that in its own words, "Italian women love more than any other." Jeep is showing the Renegade with new powertrain options, and Abarth has updated its range of 500-based hot hatches, but for something new and exciting, it looks like we'll be passing right by the Fiat section at the Geneva Palexpo this year. Just 45% of Fiat dealers are profitable, and they're angry about it
Mon, 07 Oct 2013<
On average, Fiat dealers have only been selling about 17 cars a month.
We've been wondering for some time how Fiat dealers in North America have been getting along with just one model range in their showrooms up until recently. Franchisees spent millions building, stocking and manning sleek new 'studio' showrooms, only to have but a single model to sell, the cherubic 500. And even with its many derivatives, the Cinquecento is still an inexpensive model with its attendant lower margins. Perhaps it should come as no surprise then, that just 45 percent of US Fiat dealers are said to be profitable.
Alfa Romeo returns to F1 racing by sponsoring Sauber for 2018
Tue, Feb 20 2018Doesn't it feel good to see the Alfa Romeo emblem proudly displayed on a Formula One car again? It's been 30 years since Alfa Romeo had anything to do with F1 cars, as in the late '80s the manufacturer supplied engines to Ligier and Osella. Alfa Romeo even developed the first modern Formula One V10 engine, but that ended up in a 164 Procar instead of Ligier race cars. After a 30-year hiatus, it was announced in late 2017 that Alfa Romeo's brand would return to F1 racing by sponsoring Sauber. There isn't an Alfa Romeo engine in the 2018 Sauber C37, as it uses a current Ferrari power unit instead and Alfa Romeo's involvement is strictly about FCA's sponsoring the Swiss racing team. The drivers for 2018 are Charles Leclerc and Marcus Ericsson. Jorg Zander, Sauber's technical director, says: "The car philosophy is much different to that of the C36. The aerodynamic concept has changed significantly, and the C37 has several new features in comparison to its predecessor. We are positive that the new concept offers us more opportunities and will help us to make improvements during the course of the season. The 2018 Ferrari engine will also give us a boost in terms of our performance. We hope that we will make progress with the C37 and that we are more competitive compared to 2017."
