1981 Red Spider With Many Extra Parts Including Additional Engine on 2040-cars

Red, with an engine from about 1979. Odometer reads 47332 (probably not accurate). Engine starts but fuel pump(s) not working. Consequently I have not driven it since since 2006. Car has been stored in a dry barn for the last 8 years and now my folks say it must go. Condition is a little rough but there are no big rusty areas. Tires: Potenza RE92 with good tread remaining. Aftermarket Ridguard seats need reupholstering. The fabric top will need replacement. As far as I know, everything else works, (except fuel pumps also power windows). Overall condition fair. Some revisions in the engine area (not original air filters, inertia switch removed...other? Comes with many extra parts including a spare engine (year & condition unknown), windshield, doors, a set of magnesium wheels (but may not all be useable). Very pretty little car and fun to drive. Begs for a proper restoration but as I now live on the West coast and storage no longer possible, it's time to find a new home for it. NOTE: In Maine, Titles are not issued for cars of this vintage. Without a Title eBay Customer Service told me I must list it as "Salvage." While I believe the car could be restored to running condition without major work (it was registered and on the road in 2006). please note however that car and all parts will be sold "as is" and as one sale without warranty of any kind/ All must be removed at buyers expense within 14 days unless other arrangements made.

Top Gear's latest trailer shows off a golden Bugatti Chiron
Thu, Feb 23 2017Top Gear is returning on March 5, and after a lackluster first series with the new hosts, the new group seems determined not to hit a sophomore slump. Chris Evans is gone, and the latest teaser trailer shows the new trio of Matt LeBlanc, Chris Harris, and Rory Reid strapped into some pretty fantastic cars, including the Bugatti Chiron and the Ford GT. All of the typical Top Gear segments appear to be present, though the quick cuts don't give us many details. The trailer shows a copious amount of powerslides from an assortment of cars, and even Chris Harris racing around Daytona. Aside from the Bugatti and Ford, cars from Porsche, Lamborghini, Ferrari, BMW, Aston Martin, and Alfa Romeo are all present. Co-hosts Eddie Jordan and Sabine Schmitz don't appear at all, so it seems their roles may be downplayed to focus on three guys, as was the case pre-reboot. We have some hope for this re-relaunched show and will be keeping an eye out for more details in the lead-up to the series premiere. Sun, Aug 16 2015The Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance is an annual celebration of the beautiful, old cars that grace Monterey Car Week. But Monterey – and Pebble – features lots of newer metal, too, and that includes the concept lawn at Pebble Beach. Now, "concept lawn" isn't a totally accurate name anymore, and you'll see why in the list below. This year especially, plenty of production cars can be found in the area once reserved for the conceptual. Still, we're happy to see them. Share price falls on skepticism of Chrysler-Fiat five-year plan
Thu, 08 May 2014Following this week's Fiat Chrysler extravaganza, where the Italian-American manufacturer announced its plans for the next five years, the Autoblog staff was cautiously optimistic of the company's future. Investors? Not so much.
Fiat saw its shares tumble 12 percent in Wednesday's trading, falling from 8.67 euros ($12.06 at today's rates) to 7.44 euros ($10.35) as of this writing, with blame partly going to the Italian half of the FCA marriage, which recorded a pretty significant drop in profits during the first quarter of this year.
The plan, which will cost around $77 billion over the next several years, is facing criticism from investors thanks in part to a 1.4-percent drop in Fiat's first-quarter profits, to 622 million euros ($862 million). That figure is also short of Bloomberg analysts' projections, which predicted $1.18 billion in profits before taxes, interest and one-time items.
