I’m selling my
1972 Alfa Romeo GT Junior European Model.
Originally sold on the 20th March 1972 in Bergamo Italy. The color is “faggio” (color code: AR516),
with Maremma wild boar tex interior. I
purchased the car from a local classic car dealer more than two years ago and
apparently I’m the 3rd owner of the car. The previous owner purchased the car from US
serviceman that had owned the car while stationed in Italy. At some point while still in Italy the engine
was replaced with European 1750 engine. The car was imported into US in
2004. The odometer shows 25,440 Km, and
has obviously turned over. Mechanically the car is in excellent condition. The engine drives super strong; one of the strongest I have seen. It accelerates fast and flawless; it pulls to 110 mph in no time. I drive the car every weekend and I have a blast driving it. There are no oil leaks, no white smoke, and or black smoke of any kind. All electrics works fine including gages, lights, heater fan & wipers. Tachometer and speedometer work fine with no issue. The car drives solid and suspension is tight and corners outstanding. The interior is all-original and it’s in good condition. Dash has a dash cap and floor plastic cover is original and it’s in very good condition. There are some rust bubbles on the upper lip of the trunk lid. There is some rust around the driver and passenger floors side drain hole, and spare tire drain hole, likewise the driver side door is rusted. Lower front valence is pushed in, and as shown in the photos, the front bumper is tweaked as well. Passenger side rocker door has a shallow dent. Most importantly, the car does not have any rust around the front windshield or the rear window, which is a very common and difficult to deal with. Both L& R rear quarter window areas are rust free as well. The jack point and floor is in good shape as well. The paint is good, however it is time for fresh paint as there are several spot where the clear coat has worn away. The car is a perfect daily driver; some thing that you can drive hard and enjoy. Leno samples Corvette Z06, steam cars, supercars and the wonders of Pebble Beach

Pebble Beach and the festivities around Monterey recently provided a great excuse for a road trip, and Leno seemingly had a pretty full dance card.
In an episode aptly dubbed The Ultimate Car Week, our host takes us through a pretty representative selection of great things to see in and around Pebble. Starting with a ride-along in a steam car, Jay manages to check in on the latest McLaren supercar and drive the Alfa Romeo 4C along the way. Oh, and he takes a good look at the all-new Corvette Z06 (next to the original Z06) before hitting the Concourse d'Elegance, too.
2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Drivers' Notes | Italy's last savior
Wed, Nov 22 2017Alfa Romeo may be beloved by enthusiasts, but the brand has always had a rough go in the United States. Sure, we may look back fondly now at cars like the Spider, Milano and Giulia, but those models never had the impact of their German or British rivals. Slow sales and a reputation for poor reliability killed Alfa in the U.S. more than two decades ago. The automaker is back with cars like the 4C, Giulia and, most important, the 2018 Stelvio crossover. The Stelvio needs to sell well if Alfa has any hope of staying alive in America. Sure, it may not be as sharp or as handsome as the Giulia, but the market demands crossovers, so that's what it'll get. The Stelvio is jumping into a tough and highly contested segment. Rivals like the Porsche Macan, Jaguar F-Pace, BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class are all strong competitors with handsome styling and sporty driving dynamics. The Stelvio is going to have to really shine to make a dent. Associate Editor Joel Stocksdale: The Alfa Romeo Stelvio feels very much like a bigger, taller Giulia. While this does mean that it feels a bit less nimble and frisky, it also means that it's one of the best drivers in its class. Under the hood is the same turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder making 280 horsepower. It feels just right for this crossover. It's happy to sit at low rpm on the highway, but also delivers brisk acceleration when tromping on the gas. It even sounds good, providing a growly snorty sound when accelerating. It's sort of like a grown-up version of the engine in the Fiat 500 Abarth. Ride and handling are well-balanced, too. Steering is very quick, and the whole vehicle feels remarkably light. It leans significantly more than the Giulia in turns. But as crossovers go, the Stelvio is a great handler. The ride is on the stiff side, but far from punishing. I do wish the steering was a little heavier, and that the weight built up more progressively. It feels a little less communicative than I'd prefer. The Giulia connection continues inside, but this time we wish they weren't so similar. Though the dashboard is an attractive shape, there are quite a few low-rent plastics strewn about. A number of the knobs feel chintzy, too. There's not a lot of knee room up front, either, and the seat could use a few more adjustment options. One thing the Stelvio's interior nails, though, are those wonderful shift paddles.
