1967 Alfa Romeo Giulia Super Ti Very Nice Condition on 2040-cars
Clinton, Washington, United States
Selling a very nice 1967 Alfa Romeo Giulia Super TI for a client.
The car is virtually rust free, and would appear to have been a West Coast car all of its life. Well cared for and restored by its previous owner, was stripped to bare metal and what small amount of rust there was in the body was cut out and new metal welded in. Body work is very good but not perfect, some waves in the bottoms of the doors, if you look carefully... Very Good but not show quality base coat clear coat paint (PPG paint system was used). This is a very decent old car that could use some additional tidy up and the only thing that does not seem to work is the speedometer, not really sure why. The car drives well and looks good certainly show able but not a show car. Great driver grade restoration... The 1750 cc not original engine was rebuilt by the previous owner and runs very well. The front suspension appears to have new parts in it and it drives tight. Professionally rebuilt steering box has been installed owner rebuilt engine and gear box rebuilt brake calipers (all 4) also with new pads New factory exhaust from headers back New professionally installed correct upholstery from Italy on seats Door panels are all original and in good condition. Top of dash was re wrinkle finished as was the instrument pod New professionally installed headliner New windshield New gaskets front and rear windshield all new door gaskets and trunk gasket new carpet New tires Bridgestone Ecopia 185 65 15 on freshly powder coated rims New side marker light lenses New Tail light lenses Nicely Re chromed front and rear bumpers Please call if you have interest or questions I am more than happy to answer any and all questions. Jim 425 238 5317, please remember I am on the West Coast so reasonable hours please. Should you get the message please leave your number and I will return your call at my earliest convenience. More than happy to help arrange shipping to anywhere in the world, if you need or want me to get shipping quotes for you, I am happy to do that. I would remind you that shipping cost will be that of the new owner, and the car must be paid in full before leaving in verified funds. Please make sure you have your wife's permission and funds in place before bidding. Not really interested in hearing yet another story from someone who was not prepared to follow through with the purchase. Thanks for taking time to look. |

Chrysler appoints new heads of Alfa Romeo and Ram
Mon, 18 Aug 2014Chrysler has announced to two key appointments to its senior leadership, both of them taking immediate effect. First up is Reid Bigland, who has been named head of the Alfa Romeo brand for North America. Bigland has served until now as head of the Ram Truck brand, a portfolio he now hands over to Robert Hegbloom, who had served until now as its director.
As a result of the appointments, both Bigland and Hegbloom will take up seats on Chrysler's NAFTA Leadership Team, and Bigland will also join the Fiat Chrysler Group Executive Council - the highest decision-making body in the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles empire.
As per Sergio Marchionne's leadership style, Bigland will continue to serve in two major capacities, maintaining his role as president and CEO of Chrysler Canada. Other senior executives who hold multiple key portfolios include Harald Wester (who serves as the group's Chief Technology Officer and also overseas Alfa Romeo, Maserati and Abarth), Olivier Francois (group Chief Marketing Officer and head of the Fiat brand) and Michael Manley (head of the Asia-Pacific region and the Jeep brand).
Alfa Romeo's midsize sedan due in June, and we'll get it
Wed, Nov 26 2014As the calendar shifts, so do Alfa Romeo's plans. At the LA Auto Show, Harald Wester, head of Alfa Romeo, said the brand would unveil its second US model – after the 4C – next June, but he wouldn't identify the type of car. A report in Automotive News Europe, quoting sources, says that it will be a midsize sedan in the mold of the erstwhile 159 (pictured) that was supposed to become the Giulia but now has a new brief and perhaps a new name. "Giulia" should be familiar because we've been hearing about it for more than three years – in fact it was 2011 when it was thrown back on the drawing board for a complete redesign. Last year the plan – or the anonymously-sourced bits of the plan that we kept getting – were for the platform to go rear-wheel drive and do duty for both a BMW 3 Series and 5 Series competitor. ANE's latest intel is that the coming midsize sedan will be come in between the 3 Series and 5 Series – a strategy used by the original Cadillac CTS – slotting in beneath a "flagship sedan" that would fit between the 5 Series and 7 Series. That would appear to contradict a direct challenge to the entry-level segment's standard-bearer, and perhaps the M3, too. Those two Alfa sedans would be part of an eight-model onslaught happening over the next four years, which is a new matrix compared to April of this year when that was reported to be six models over the next five years. ANE says work has started on three of them, a midsize SUV said to be the third. The push is to get Alfa to 400,000 annual sales – 100,000 more than the April target – with the US accounting for 150,000 of that. News Source: Automotive News Europe - sub. req. This modernized Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint looks great, sounds even better
Tue, Feb 9 2016No matter how good something may be, there's always room for improvement. A UK company called Alfaholics builds an overhauled version of the famous Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint that's supposed to be capable enough to hassle a modern Porsche 911 around the Nordschleife. It's difficult to spot any of the upgrades from the outside, but Charles Morgan shows off the updated performance in a new video from Carfection. The Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint is a memorable sports coupe that was made in the '60s and '70s, and it sports a gorgeous body from the pen of a then-17-year-old Giorgetto Giugiaro. Alfaholics takes this fantastic platform and adds modern suspension components, upgraded brakes, carbon fiber body panels, and a 240-horsepower engine. These tweaks bring the weight down to about 1,830 pounds and allow for a lap around the Nordschliefe in less than 8 minutes at the hands of a skilled driver. As opposed to just going for outright performance, Alfaholics tries to keep its tuned Giulia Sprint somewhat authentic to the original version. As Morgan shows in this video, the result of the company's work is a coupe with superb handling and an intoxicating exhaust note. Related Video:
