Currently parked in lot about two blocks from the Grove St. PATH station.

Great car, very well maintained and responsibly driven.

Flying in?  Car can be reached by train from Newark Airport (two blocks from nearest station).

Details:

2005 ACURA TSX
68,xxx miles
Navigation (only option for this year, original DVD)
Factory all weather floor mats

Recent maintenance, etc:

- Headlight replaced under recall @ 40k
- ****New Tires @ 47k (rated for 60k)****
- ****New brakes, front / back @ 54-58k, rebuilt due to squeaking (bad grease) @ 65k****
- Power steering line / fluid replaced under recall (60k)
- New cabin air filter (66k)
- New factory wiper blades (66k)
- Full synthetic oil change & tire rotation (66.5k, good for 5k)
- Leather cleaned and conditioned at least twice a year, great condition, no cracking.
- Garaged from new through ~55k miles, has been parked outside for the last year and a half

Problems:
- A few small dings, very light scratches / chips... as you would expect of a car this age.
- Tires recently rotated, but probably do for an alignment (not pulling, just due based on mileage)
- Window tinting may not be legal in all states (not factory)

Details on dings, etc:
- Drivers side A-pillar:  the worst of them all, this one is a little smaller than a quarter maybe.  Was there when I bought the car from the original owner (would love to know the origin, as I have never seen a ding in that location).
- Drivers side door:  rectagularish paint chip has been there for years and is not rusting.
- Drivers side front fender: scrape next to wheel well, less visible than you'd think, I didn't notice it until after I bought it.
- Drivers side trunk:  ding from loading something into the trunk, 1/3 size of a dime maybe.  The panel gap is perfectly normal, but the angle of the picture makes it look rather odd.
- Passenger side rear fender has three dings (two shallow, one deepish) all in nearly the same place (hard to photograph, but you can see the ding in the pic)
- Interior is nearly spotless.  I've had people ask if I just bought the car because the leather conditioner / carpet shampoo I use give it a "new car smell" but not in a cheesy air freshener kind of way. No cracking (but some wear) on drivers side door.  Carpet floor mats are in the trunk, but have some overall dirt / staining (the original owner used them, I bought all weather mats as soon as I bought it).

Other small defects could not be pictured.  THE CAR IS NOT PERFECT, I would strongly recommend taking a look in person before buying.

2017 Acura MDX Sport Hybrid goes on sale in April for $52,935

Wed, Mar 15 2017

If you like the hybrid tech of the Acura NSX, but don't need a six-figure, 191-mph supercar as your daily driver, you might enjoy the extra room of the Acura MDX Sport Hybrid. It uses the same SH-AWD system with three electric motors as its racier stablemate – and puts a naturally aspirated 3.0-liter V6 up front – but seats up to seven people. It goes on sale in early April, and Acura has announced a starting MSRP of $52,935. The MDX Sport Hybrid starts at $7,910 higher than the base, front-wheel-drive MDX, but only $1,500 more than the comparably equipped, non-hybrid MDX SH-AWD. It offers 31 more ponies, for a total of 321 peak horsepower and of 289 pound-feet of torque. It's less expensive than the other Acura to use the Sport Hybrid system, the RLX sedan, which starts at $59,950. (That car incurs a price premium of $5,500 over its P-AWS-equipped FWD base model; there's no non-hybrid AWD RLX.) The MDX Sport Hybrid gets an EPA-rated 26 mpg city, 27 highway, and 27 combined. Compared to the conventional MDX SH-AWD's 18/26/21 mpg rating, its biggest fuel economy gains are to be found in city driving. The Sport Hybrid's figures are even slightly better than the 25/26/26 mpg Acura expected when the car debuted in New York last year. The MDX Sport Hybrid should be fairly entertaining to drive, too, at least for a utility vehicle. It's Acura's most powerful SUV to date, and it offers four driving modes: Comfort, Normal, Sport, and Sport+. A seven-speed dual-clutch transmission handles the gear changes, but the driver can take control via a pair of paddles on the back of the steering wheel. The SH-AWD system's torque vectoring feature promises to help make the MDX proficient in the twisty bits, too. Related Video:

Acura TLX's early sales results look promising

Tue, 14 Oct 2014

Acura made a bold move earlier this year when it decided to axe two fairly popular models in the TL and TSX and replaced them with a single sedan: the TLX. After all, how often have you seen modern automakers consolidating vehicles in the lineup? But early indications have shown that the gamble might have paid off, at least so far, because the TLX has been outselling its predecessors for its first months on sale.
Acura has only released TLX sales numbers so far for August and September, but the results have been promising. In August, the company moved 2,286 of the new sedans, beating last year's figures for the same month from both the TL at 2,227 sold and the TSX at 1,755. Then in September, the newcomer did even better with 3,884 units leaving dealers to surpass the two previous vehicles combined from their 2013 monthly stats.
According to The Truth About Cars, the TLX's September numbers were even more impressive when looking even deeper into Acura sales history. It claims that you would have to go back to March 2011 when the TL sold 3,995 units to have seen it beat the new TLX. And the TSX hasn't surpassed the latest model's figure since December 2010.
