2006 Acura Tsx Base Sedan 4-door 2.4l on 2040-cars
United States
What I have for sale is my 2006 Acura TSX 6-Speed with 128k
original miles. This car is rare in the manual transmission model, and even
more difficult to find with the factory A-spec body moldings. The Nighthawk
black exterior is in excellent condition with no dents or rust. The interior is
gorgeous with no tears in the beautiful black leather. The interior is
equipped with the 6 cd changer with auxiliary, Bluetooth phone link, sunroof,
and all the other power options you would expect in an Acura. All the interior
lights have been upgraded to LED. The headlights and fog lights are both HID
bulbs for supreme road visibility. This car is mechanically perfect. The
clutch grabs great, there are no leaks, noises, ect. The car was always
meticulously maintained with synthetic oil changes every 3k miles. Brand new
EBC (best on the market) brakes were installed two weeks ago. The car is
equipped with an Injen intake, P2R throttle body spacer, and all thermal
gaskets, allowing this car to average 28 mpg with normal every day driving. Recent
tune-up performed including NGK Iridium spark plugs, alternator, belts,
transmission and power steering flush. This vehicle was adult driven and was
never molested. The Black powder coated SI rims with TL type-s center caps are
wrapped in Continental Extreme DWS tires. If you have any
questions, feel free to send me a message. There is no reserve on this Acura, good luck bidding. |

2014 Acura MDX SH-AWD
Thu, 15 May 2014There are certain vehicles on sale today that are affected by what I call 'Camry Syndrome.' Named after Toyota's ubiquitous family hauler, Camry Syndrome affects a fair number of cars and trucks, many of which are exceedingly popular with consumers.
The issue I have with these vehicles is that while they're adequate, they lack ambition. Their looks are clean and reasonably attractive, but they're not particularly stylish, let alone adventuresome or - heaven forbid - polarizing. Their interiors are comfortable and well screwed together, with the sort of popular features that consumers expect at a given price point. Their engines are decently powerful and vocal enough to set the heart very slightly aflutter, yet they're not too thirsty. Their transmissions are invisible and their rides are best described with whatever buzzword synonym Joe Consumer might come up with for "sporty" or "luxurious." In short, they're boring.
In reality, provided they sell well, there's really nothing wrong with automakers building Camry Syndrome vehicles - they're reasonably competent at everything and clearly meet a need. The problem is that I want some aspects of my vehicle to be better than others, because contrast breeds character. I wish someone at Acura felt the way I did when it redesigned this MDX for 2014, because for me, there's so much of this premium crossover that's merely middle of the road.

Honda recalling 204k CR-V, Odyssey, Acura RDX models over rollaway risk
Fri, 19 Apr 2013Honda has announced a recall over a possible rollaway risk that affects 204,169 crossover and minivan models. The specific vehicles in question are the 2012-13 Honda CR-V and Odyssey, as well as the 2013 Acura RDX.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, "the brake-shift interlock blocking mechanism may become slow and allow the gear selector to be moved from the Park position without pressing the brake pedal." In other words, these vehicles could unintentionally roll away.
NHTSA states that this scenario may only happen during sub-freezing temperatures, but notes that this means the vehicles fail to conform with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 114: Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention. Honda will notify owners of the problem, and dealerships will install an updated interlocking mechanism free of charge.
