2008 Acura Tl Base Sedan 4-door 3.2l on 2040-cars

The car was serviced regulary. I have complete records since when I purchased it, and just today (2 July) I had a $432 service done that included:
- Oil/Filter change - Engine Air Filter - Cabin Air Filter - 100k Tune up (you are all set, I took care of the 100k service) - Transmission flush - Tires rotated and front end aligned Aside from that, here is the rest of the services I did besides oil changes 3/28/14 - Coolent Flush 11/2/13 - Rear brake pads and rotors installed 11/2/13 - Fuel System Cleaning 4/15/13 - Transmission Flush 11/20/12 - Power Steering Flush 8/25/12 - Oil System Cleaning 2/21/12 - Transmission Flush & Fuel Injection Cleaning 7/3/14 - Fully detailed and cleaned for new owner I take really good care of my cars. I do a lot of driving and I don't want any issues. My commute consists mostly of highway miles. Everything operates and is in perfect working condition. When it was looked over today (2 July) the mechanic said belts are good, fluids are good, and no leaks. KBB price for the car in "very good" condition is just under $15k with the options it has. |

Acura TLX sales stopped over rollaway fears
Tue, Dec 9 2014A bad indicator that could convince customers that affected cars are in park, even when they aren't, has pushed Acura to issue a stop-sale for the V6-equipped TLX sedan. The company has already alerted the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration of the potential safety defect. According to Consumer Reports, the defect is being blamed on unnamed transmission components in the nine-speed-automatic transmissions, which were damaged during assembly. A representative from Acura confirmed to CR that a more complete statement would be coming once the case can be reviewed by NHTSA. At this point, this case isn't a full recall, although it seems quite likely that's the direction it will take. Stay tuned for more.
2014 Acura RLX gets trick hybrid all-wheel drive system for LA
Tue, 19 Nov 2013Acura has endured a year of mixed reviews and middling sales for its new RLX flagship. Meanwhile, the Japanese automaker has been readying what may be the very best version of the car for its debut. Now the wait is almost over, as Acura will show its 2014 RLX Sport Hybrid SH-AWD at this year's LA Auto Show.
When it comes to dealerships in the spring of 2014, the RLX Hybrid will be the most powerful production car Acura has ever sold. The combination of a 3.5-liter V6 and three electric motors - a 35-kilowatt motor pushing torque to the front wheels and two 27-kW units feeding the rears - creates a total system output of 377 horsepower.
Those rear-end electric motors do more than just add power, they also drive the rear wheels without a traditional rear drive shaft and differential. This newest iteration of the Super Handling-All Wheel Drive calls upon the two rear motors to both drive and brake the rear wheels, vectoring torque in cornering situations for additional grip. All three electric motors make use of regenerative braking to feed electricity back into the system's 260-volt lithium-ion battery pack.

It's a premium-focused rundown as the two start off discussing Autoblog's long-term Acura TLX A-Spec and the Type S that is currently standing in for it, followed by some impressions of the Polestar 2 (and how it feels relative to its Volvo cousins) and a look at the 2022 Genesis G70 Launch Edition. Then, in "Spend My Money," they try to address a rather broad request for a pre-owned vehicle with only a handful of requirements.  Send us your questions for the Mailbag and Spend My Money at: Podcast@Autoblog.com.
