Hi, I have a CLEAN AND CLEAR 1992 Acura NSX (conservative tune) pushing 405 whp at 7psi on 91 octane. I bought this car from Las Vegas Nevada in Summer of 2008. I drove it from Vegas to SLC Utah with no issues. This non-smoker NSX. Has never seen snow and have been garaged since 2008 to present. This was my weekend cruising car, and I have put little miles since owning it. I've slowly did some aftermarket upgrading on this NSX, and I believe have been "tastily" modified. Below is a list of some of the stuff that was put in. Even though the engine is turboed, I've never raced the NSX on or off the track. Just spirited driving up the canyons once in a while. Never been abused in my pocession of owning it. I just built it to what i thought Honda/Acura should've done from the beginning to compete with the other JDM super cars. The NSX never had any issues passing my local State Safety and Emissions inspections. The NSX is not my first Japanese exotic cars. I've owned 2 Toyota Supra TT, Silvia s14, and Lexus GS300 TT swap before I purchased this NSX.

I believe I have some more that I forgot to mention, but ill ad it as I remember. I had the all the Engine work upgrades, and inspected during the installation of the Turbo system by JOE at TurboLabs (Orem, Utah). Joe also did the Turbo tuning which I have all the recites for all his great service. I believe this NSX is road worthy of a cross country trip. My wife and I recently took it to Las Vegas(1100 miles round trip) for the weekend and it ran perfect there and back. I've enjoyed every miles on the NSX I've put, but its now time to sell due to a growing family. I can not just get into my car and drive up the canyons as I used to, but got to drag along 2 extra car seats to do so  :-) . Im hurting to sell the NSX, but just sitting there in the Garage...

Picure 1 shows the NSX on double staggered 18/19 Enkei RPF1.
Picure 22 and 23 shows the Stock block taken out at TurboLabs for inspection, and rebuild for the turbo installation.

Please bid if you have the money, and bid if your expecting to pay. Please have all financing funds available as I am not a financial institution. Its a binding contract. I will be gladly pick up anyone out of state flying into Salt Lake City International Airport.

The Bad.
Headlight does not go down because the of the interior headlight retraction up/down switch.
Driver side seat shows signs of wear from over the ages and from getting in/out of car. Nornmal..

Tach "once in a while" gets sticky in the 2k range, but does not affect performance.
Overall the paint is in good/excellent condition for its age.

I have tried to described all the goods and bads of the NSX as best as I can off top of my head. This being a 1992 year, and please have reasonable expectations for the age and mileage. I have an excellent seller feedback's, so bid with confidence. NSX is sold as is, and non refundable. $200 refundable deposit will be required within 24hrs of winning the bids. I will accept Certified checks from a legitimate banking institution(s). I will accept wire transfer from a Legit banking institutions. Cash is king if you have it in full. Why Acura should build a hybrid Integra successor using NSX tech

Fri, Dec 30 2016

Yes, it sounds like a heresy. Yes, the Honda CR-Z was not a good hybrid sports car. Yes, we know the RSX officially replaced the Integra here (but was called the Integra in Japan). But, no, we're not crazy. Well, maybe a little bit. But hear us out. At the moment Acura is a bit of an unfocused mess. Its line-up is thoroughly uninspiring, save for its $200,000 NSX supercar – a great mid-engined supercar with an impressive, performance-oriented hybrid AWD system. And yet few people would draw a line connecting Acura's other SH-AWD hybrids, the RLX Sport Hybrid and MDX Sport Hybrid, to the NSX. The first NSX told the world that Acura built cars with world-class technology and performance, and the Integra carried it to people with normal pocketbooks. Since the new NSX communicates a similar message as its forbearer, so too would a new Integra. Now making an entry-level sports car with hybrid technology is tricky business. As we already established, the Honda CR-Z was a colossal flop. It's balance was all off: heavy, expensive, and not very sporty – and it didn't even get very good fuel economy. However, Honda and Acura can learn from these mistakes. First, to keep costs in check, Acura can borrow from Honda's ever-improving parts bin. It would logical to borrow the excellent Civic coupe platform – something the old Integra did as well. It could also attach the proposed hybrid powertrain to the upcoming Si turbocharged four-cylinder. Some added cost will be unavoidable, since the batteries and motors will have to go somewhere. That will cost some engineering dollars, and inflate the price tag a bit. However, since Acura is a premium brand, it has some wiggle room to bump up the price without losing buyers. Weight is another potential issue this hypothetical hybrid will face, and was one of the chief complaints with the CR-Z. Looking at the RLX and the RLX Sport Hybrid, the hybrid bits weigh about an extra 340 pounds. That's not insignificant, but added to the turbocharged Civic EX-T coupe's 2,900 pound curb weight, you would have a car that would weigh 3,240 pounds. That's comparable to the very fun Mustang EcoBoost. As long as Acura keeps the weight under 3,500 pounds, the brand should have an entertaining coupe on its hands. The final piece of the puzzle is to make sure it isn't compromised. Every bit of hybrid tech in the NSX is there for performance. It helps eliminate turbo lag, and it improves acceleration and handling.

2020 Acura NSX Suspension Deep Dive

Wed, May 13 2020

The Acura NSX has been a special car as long as I’ve been in the business. The first one came out in 1990, the same year I started my career in automotive engineering. I vividly remember driving one briefly back then when we brought one in for benchmarking. I'd drive it again 22 years later when my previous employer bought a used 1991 example for a long-term test. Reader interest was sky-high and the car was still gorgeous, but the march of time and automotive engineering had clearly left it behind. Then, in 2016, a second-generation NSX emerged, and it was packed with bleeding-edge thinking. It has a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6, but this new NSX is a hybrid with an electric motor-generator sandwiched between the engine and its nine-speed DCT transmission. Two more electric motors – one for each wheel – power the front axle. There they can add traction, regenerate electricity under braking and dole out hyper-accurate levels of torque vectoring. The carÂ’s tire package was changed from Continental SportContact 5 to SportContact 6 tires in 2019, and numerous suspension re-tuning tweaks came along with them. The result is a lively and well-balanced car that is relentless when driven hard and a pussycat around town. LetÂ’s see what theyÂ’ve got going on under there.   At first glance the 2020 Acura NSX appears to have dual wishbone front suspension. But we canÂ’t tell for sure because that big two-piece brake rotor is in the way. The coil-over shock looks obvious, but a few odd details are apparent even from here.   This view also seems to indicate double wishbone suspension. But the pivot axis (green arrow) between the upper and lower ball joints looks wrong – itÂ’s far too vertical. WeÂ’re missing something. But I would be remiss if I failed to point out a few other things before we moved on. For one, the front drive axle confirms this to be an all-wheel-drive machine. Second, the forged aluminum damper mounting fork (yellow) that envelops the axle is mounted to the lower arm about 75% out from the armÂ’s inner pivot. The spring and damper motion ratio would be 0.75-to-1 relative to wheel movement, with a tiny reduction due to its lean angle. Lastly, just look at the huge cast aluminum upright (white). Beautiful. Normally these are called hub carriers or steering knuckles, and I use the terms interchangeably. But the motorsports-derived term upright is normally applied when the piece is tall and, well, upright like this one.   This explains everything.
