2002 Acura Nsx T 3.2l 6 Speed Manual on 2040-cars
Miami, Florida, United States
Pluses 2002 was the first year for the major upgrade. Bigger
engine, 3.2L 6 cyl. (heads are huge). 6 speed manual transmission with targa
top. Gear shift knob is carbon fiber. Redesigned headlights and rear lights.
New, they went for 90 –120k. Hand assembled. A true masterpiece. Nothing
handles like this. NO SWAY and you’re so low to the ground you feel like your
driving an indi car. Super fast although I’ve never raced it. Timing belt, oil
pump, water pump and clutch replaced at 60.000 miles. Drives straight as an
arrow. OEM Rims alone retail for $2400.00 each. Interior is very clean with a
mod on the speaker system. Loud & clear. This is truly THE car for the
ultimate driving experience. Full Lo Jack – They call you when vehicle is moved without
LJ remote. Both OEM keys with remotes. No negative ratings anywhere. Issues Veh report; 2 extremely minor collisions; first one was a an elder man backing up & lightly dented the driver door while parked. Second was same thing but right side rear bumper. Geiko did both repairs to perfection. No bondo – aluminum body. SRS and EPS lights on in dash so it’s driving in rack and pinion mode. Much better drive in my opinion so I kept it like that. A few light scuffs on paint by front insignia and front right lower lip. Must be honest, light scuff to right side plastic skirt from spinning our one day when I first bought it TOO powerful & mid engine is a different displacement from front engine. Not really noticeable unless your looking for it. Some scuffs on the driver window controls. Beautiful leather seats. Typical tear in drivers seat from getting in & out. I repaired it once but this goes with most sports cars. After market Alpine radio/cd player. CD player works fine, radio not great. Reserve the right to remove the listing early if vehicle sells locally. $2000.00 paypal deposit required within 24 hours after end of of listing. Buyer responsible for shipping. See photos. |

2013 Acura ZDX
Wed, 09 Oct 2013What Is, What Could Have Been, And What May Yet Be
History is largely unkind to losers. That's true in the world of politics and sports, and it follows on with a few caveats in the realm of automobiles.
In terms of cars, historic losers tend to be remembered in one of two broad ways. Every once in a while, unsuccessful or oddball models actually make reputational gains after some time away from the new-car marketplace. I consider the Saab 9-2X one of the recent poster children for this group; a car that moved like molasses on dealer lots in the mid-2000s but has morphed into a sort of hard-to-find, used gem in recent years. More often, though, that which was unloved when new remains unloved with tens or hundreds of thousands of miles on the odometer. Pontiac's seriously misunderstood Aztek has king status here (despite the wailings of oddball fan clubs across the nation), so much so that invoking "Aztek" as a pejorative stopped being pithy about a dozen years ago.
Did Acura just confirm it's working on an Integra successor?
Fri, 07 Nov 2014The Acura Integra (pictured above in Type R trim) was one of the definitive vehicles of the Acura brand in the US, having joined the Legend at the marque's birth here. However, since the retirement of the RSX, the luxury arm of Honda has lacked a compact, sporty coupe to fill that niche. There appears to be a chance of that absence possibly coming to an end in the coming years, though.
Acura lead designer Dave Marek spoke to Car and Driver during the SEMA Show and said, "A performance brand needs a flagship and it needs an accessible sport car. Not a sports car, but a sport car." However, he also suggested that a new model wouldn't be spinning its tires too soon, at least not before 2017 by his indication.
While the vague possibility of a new sports coupe is still years away, Acura is taking its early steps in a brand revitalization campaign that includes spinning the luxury arm further away from Honda. The strong initial sales of the TLX are certainly a good start, but the work appears to just be beginning, according to Marek. "There are changes coming, and then there are more changes coming," he said to Car and Driver.
Honda slaps Legend name on JDM Acura RLX
Mon, 10 Nov 2014It's been eighteen years since we last saw the Legend nameplate in Acura showrooms here in the US, but in Japan it's still very much alive as Honda's flagship sedan. And now the Japanese automaker has revealed the latest generation.
Set to go on sale across Japan on January 22 - 30 years since the nameplate was introduced - the new Honda Legend is essentially the same model we already know in the States as the new Acura RLX. Only by "essentially," we mean exactly. It is the RLX, only with Honda badges instead of Acura ones. The manufacturer hasn't even changed the grille or the wheels.
Although the RLX is being offered Stateside in two forms, the new JDM Honda Legend will only come in one form, equivalent to our Sport Hybrid, with Super Handling All-Wheel Drive and a hybrid powertrain pairing a 3.5-liter V6 to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission with integrated electric motor. For the privilege of owning the most luxurious car Honda makes, Japanese customers will have to pony up ¥6,800,000 - which about adds up to $59,950 we'd pay for an RLX Sport Hybrid.
