2004 Acura Mdx Touring Sport Utility 4-door 3.5l on 2040-cars
Pleasant Hill, California, United States
If you are looking for an SUV that's got all the fixin's, stop right now, your search is over! You have the opportunity to drive this japanese titan, the 2004 Acura MDX Touring edition. What does touring mean? In addition to the 3.5L V6 pumping out 265 hp into a 5 speed automatic transmission to all four wheels (4wd), you also get the nav system AND a DVD player with a TV screen for the rear passengers. I have the original remote and wireless headphones that came with it as well! So not only can you carry 7 passengers, go 0-60 in 7 seconds, and enjoy heated seats, you also have dvd enjoyment and a premium bose speaker system to pump movies and tunes.
Alright, we all know this is the most luxury model of an already incredible car, so why this one? It has been dealer maintained every 10,000 miles since I got it at 70,000 miles (I'm the second owner), and services include engine mount replacements at 83k, front and rear brake pads and power steering at 87k, bushings, timing belt, and tires at 102k, starter and battery at 108k, spark plugs, transmission, filters, front pads and oil at 115k, and the shift lever at 122k. It's impossible to have a better maintained car than this, because for the last five years we've taken it to the dealer every 5-10 thousand miles and had them do everything they thought needed to be done. I have the paperwork for that as well. What aren't you telling me? Well, there is a small rip on the driver's side seat, some of the little plastic tabs that direct the a/c vents have snapped off, but aside from that the interior is immaculate. The thing on the exterior driver's side melted off in the heat one day, but we still have it and can be reattached no problem. It is a clean title, never been in an accident, no leaks or funny smells and the a/c blows cold. You would think you were getting into a 4 year old car, it has used a dash protector the entirety of its existence so the dash looks brand new as well. I'm selling this car because I downgraded to a sedan, so this is your opportunity to get a legendary SUV for an incredible price. |

2015 Acura TLX priced from $30,995*
Thu, 03 Jul 2014Following a delay this spring, Acura is now ready to launch the 2015 TLX sedan this August, with pricing now confirmed to start at $30,995, *not including $895 for destination. This base MSRP is just $360 more than that of the outgoing TSX sedan; the TLX replaces both the TSX and TL in Acura's 2015 model year lineup.
That's a pretty fair deal considering that introductory price gets buyers a front-wheel drive TLX with a 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder engine with 206 horsepower, mated to a new eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, and featuring the automaker's Precision All-Wheel Steer (P-AWS) system. Adding a Technology Package ups the MSRP to $35,025.
Of course, the TLX is also available with a 290-horsepower, 3.5-liter V6 mated to Acura's new nine-speed automatic transmission. The TLX V6 P-AWS starts at $25,220 and climbs to $39,250 with the Technology Package. The bottom line on the range-topping Advance model is $42,500. Acura's Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive is available with the 3.5-liter engine, too - the SH-AWD Technology model starts at $41,450, while the SH-AWD Advance commands $44,700.
Honda recalling 405K vehicles over airbag issue
Thu, 19 Sep 2013Honda is in hot water due to an airbag glitch that is causing it to recall 405,400 vehicles. According to the campaign, the supplemental restraints might fire for no apparent reason. 342,000 of the affected vehicles are 2003 and 2004 Odyssey minivans, which gels with a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation we reported on in June.
Joining the Odyssey in the recall is the Acura MDX, with 63,400 units covered from the 2003 model year. Unlike the van, though, the MDX's recall covers Japan and Australia, in addition to the US and Canada. Both vehicles are suffering from an airbag control unit that is prone to malfunction when exposed to electrical noise, a condition that can cause the airbags to deploy without warning. Although no crashes have been reported in such scenarios, there have been some injuries typical of airbag deployment - abrasions and such.
Honda will be mailing recall notices to owners near the end of October, asking them to bring their vehicles into the dealership for installation of an electrical noise filter. The repair will take about an hour and be free of charge. Scroll down for the official announcement from Honda.
Acura NSX hybrid wins Time Attack 2 division at Pikes Peak
Mon, Jun 27 2016Acura sent three NSX supercars up the PIkes Peak Hill Climb and one of them - the TA2 that was a standard NSX with some additional safety equipment - beat out its competition in the Time Attack 2 class by over 11 seconds with a time of 10:28.820. Nick Robinson was the driver. This was not his first time atop the podium, as he won the PP250 motorcycle class last year. The EV concept NSX came in second in the Electric Modified class with a time of 9:06.015. That's good enough for third place overall. Acura says that the TA1 NSX - which had a lighter chassis and a modified racing exhaust – "also campaigned." Both the TA1 and TA2 NSX vehicles used the car's standard three-motor hybrid powertrain. With added required safety equipment for competition, the NSX negotiated the 12.42-mile course in a time of 10:28.820 to win the Time Attack 2 class of the Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. Nick Robinson, North American R&D team member and engineer in charge of the next-generation supercar's dynamic performance, drove the production-based Acura NSX to victory. Nick is also the reigning PP250 winner from the 2015 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. "I'm incredibly happy to have won the Production Class with the new NSX!" Robinson reported.
