OUT SIDE THE CAR HAS GREEN PAINT ALL GLOSSY BUT THERE IS A CLEAR COAT FADE ON THE BACKSIDE OF ROOF LOOK IN THE PICTURE N THERE WAS A RUST SPOT ON THE DRIVER SIDE REAR WHEEL WELL WHERE I PUT SOME PUTTY TO SAVE IT FROM SPREADING.INSIDE IT HAS A LIGHT BIEGE COLOR LEATHER INTERIOR WITH ORIGINAL LEGEND MATS I HAVE ANOTHER SET OF GGOD QUALITY MATS ON TOP OF THEM TO KEEP THEM CLEAN.THE CAE HSA NEVER BEEN SMOKED IN ALL THE SEATS R CLEAN THE DRIVER SIDE SEAT HAS SOME WRINKLES FROM USE.THE DASH IS ALL CLEAN N SHINEY . THERE IS NO WARNNG LIGHTS ON THE DASH EXCEPT ABS LIGHT IT HAS A FAULTY SENSOR BUT THE BREAKES WORK PRETTY GOOD.ALL THE POWER OPTIONS WORK PERFECT ALL THE CLIMATE CONTROLS WORK PERFECT INCLUDING FRONT N REAR DEFROST.THE TRUNK IS CLEAN HAS A SPRAE AND ALL THE TOOLS THAT CAME WITH THE CAR FROM FACTORY THE JACK STILL HAS A FACTORY TAG ON IT CUZ IT WAS NEVER USED.TIRES HAVE 90% TREAD LEFT ON THEM.THE SUN ROOF WORKS PRETTY GOOD . ALL THE ALLOY WHEELS R IN DECENT SHAPE WITH MINOE SCRATCHES HERE N THERE.IT IS A GOLD PACKAGE WHICH U SEE SOME FADING ON THE EMBLEMS AND THE LETTERS R MISSING FROM THE TRUNK THIS IS HOW IT WAS WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR. Honda recalling 204k CR-V, Odyssey, Acura RDX models over rollaway risk
Fri, 19 Apr 2013Honda has announced a recall over a possible rollaway risk that affects 204,169 crossover and minivan models. The specific vehicles in question are the 2012-13 Honda CR-V and Odyssey, as well as the 2013 Acura RDX.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, "the brake-shift interlock blocking mechanism may become slow and allow the gear selector to be moved from the Park position without pressing the brake pedal." In other words, these vehicles could unintentionally roll away.
NHTSA states that this scenario may only happen during sub-freezing temperatures, but notes that this means the vehicles fail to conform with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 114: Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention. Honda will notify owners of the problem, and dealerships will install an updated interlocking mechanism free of charge.
Acura recalling nearly 20k new MDX crossovers over AWD driveshafts
Fri, 13 Dec 2013Acura is recalling nearly 20,000 of its 2014 MDX crossovers fitted with all-wheel drive over driveshaft concerns. The affected vehicles were built between May 6, 2013 and October 14, 2013, and have bolts that attach the driveshaft to the transmission that may not have been tightened properly.
Needless to say, an improperly secured driveshaft could lead to a number of problems, including everything from excessive drivetrain noise to full driveshaft detachment, a condition which could result in a loss of power and crash.
There's been no reports of accidents, injuries or deaths relating to the driveshaft issues. Acura will begin notifying all 19,197 owners in question of the recall, and will request that they report in for repairs, which will consist of tightening the driveshaft-attaching bolts. Comparison test: 2019 Acura RDX vs. compact luxury SUV competitors
Fri, Jun 1 2018Truth be told, if we were to compare the all-new 2019 Acura RDX with those compact luxury crossover SUVs it would most likely be cross-shopped against, you'd be looking at a different list. Even Acura admits that Lexus and Infiniti are the most likely bogies, but with the 2019 RDX, Honda's luxury brand is attempting to attract those customers who think as much with their hearts as with their heads. And for the most part, those folks have been buying from German brands: the Audi Q5, BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class. So, to show how the new RDX compares to them, Acura actually provided examples of each during the recent press drive along with a Volvo XC60. All were determined to have greater emotional appeal than the last RDX, and we would certainly agree. For, as much as the previous-generation RDX made sense on paper, it was really hard to get excited about it. And when you're paying extra for a luxury vehicle, shouldn't you get a little excited? Well, as luck would have it, Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski and I were on hand in Whistler, British Columbia, for the press launch. We didn't have an abundance of time in each RDX competitor, but in conjunction with our usual comparison chart, our impressions should provide a good first taste of how the new RDX compares. Performance and fuel economy Contributing Editor James Riswick: On paper at least, the RDX is gutsier than its comparably powered European rivals. It also weighs the same or less, which logically should mean it'll be the quickest in a straight line. During my brief drives, though, I'm not sure it really stood taller than the three Germans. It at least matches them for smoothness, which is something that can't be said about the Volvo. Fuel economy is lower than them all when you consider all but the Mercedes come standard with all-wheel drive. It's also worth noting that all the competitors are available with engine upgrades, and unless Acura's forthcoming resurrection of Type S models includes the RDX, it should stay that way. Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski: Line 'em all up in a drag race, and I have a feeling the Acura would squirt away to victory. A good bit of that, though, would be due to its 10-speed automatic transmission, which offers a huge spread of ratios and fires off extremely quick shifts. In the real world, I'd guess fuel economy will be similar across the board, so I'm willing to call that category a draw.
