Up for sale is my 1989 Legend L coupe. I have owned the car for a little over 4 years now, and bought it off the original 1-woman owner, to the best of my knowledge. It has 187,200 actual miles. At the time I purchased the car, it had a clean title, but more recently, it had to be branded a salvage title(transferred from me to myself), due to a rear end collision.
*The bad:
-Needs new automatic transmission.(Only first and second gear work, reverse is completely gone and will not engage, and the car will only go about 45 mph tops, and that is pushing it.)
-Rear end and side front-fender damage.
-Transmission crossmember damaged and needs to be replaced along with new transmission mount.
-Horn and cruise control do not work, and SRS light all come on, due to suspected faulty "clock-spring" wiring within steering wheel, but is repairable.
-A/C does not work due to frozen clutch bearing, and is believed that a new compressor clutch is all that is needed that would get the a/c going again, and the compressor belt is still intact. Prior to this problem, the a/c was blowing cold, and I added some Freeze 12 refrigerant in the system, but this was already after the fact that I had the refrigerant converted to R-134..
-Loose steering, and is believed to be worn rack and pinion, but not entirely sure.
-Interior center console lid needs reupholstering.
-Although mostly original, the interior is dirty from various food and coffee spots, and needs a good, deep cleaning.
*The good:
-New radiator, thermostat, gasket, radiator cap, and upper/lower hoses were installed at the time I purchased car, so never any problems with the car overheating, or with the cylinder heads needing any kind of work.
-Newer front upper control arms on both sides.
-Newer front inner and outer tie-rod ends on both sides.
-Newer power-steering pressure line within the past year.
-Newer, remanufactured alternator within the past 2 years.
-Newer battery within the last 6 months.
-Although shown as missing in the engine photos. the factory air cleaner box and associated duct hoses are on hand, and are easily installed back on car, and, of course, are included.
-All 4 windows roll up and down fine, with exception to the passenger's side front window, due to a slightly interior window rail molding.
-Power locks, power trunk release, and power sunroof all work great, with the sunroof especially operating very fast with no leaks or cracks.
-Very good tread on all 4 tires, with all 4 tires matching size, and both rear tires were replaced last summer.
-All original exhaust system, including muffler, as well as catalytic converter from the factory, and the car JUST PASSED CA SMOG again with no problems.
-2 new Denso oxygen sensors recently installed.
-6 new NGK Copper plugs.
-Newer front and rear brake pads in the last year.
-Oil always changed every 3000 miles since I have owned the car.
-Excellent overall condition original interior headliner with all dome/reading lights working properly, along with both front door courteousy lights.
-All original Bahama Gold Metallic factory paint, not the greatest of condition, but is believed that it can be rubbed out to a nice shine.
-Factory Acura Am/Fm cassettee stereo will work intermittently, and when it does not work, the LCD display will only show fragments of its fully display and the sound will just completely go away and then come back.
-Matched set of 4 Infinity Reference Green Series 6-1/2" installed speakers both front and back. The original speakers are not available, and were discarded long ago due to typical dry-rotting.
I just do not have any more time to deal with the car. The car is sold as is, where is, with no warranties expressed or implied. I have described all the defects of the car to the best of my knowledge. With a new transmission, or the old one rebuilt, this car would still have plenty of life left in it and will drive like a Porsche down the 101 or the 405. The car is located in the Los Angeles area, and it is solely the responsibility of the highest bidder to pick up or ship car. Lastly, this is a lifetime Southern California car, being mostly rust-free, with exception to some minor surface rust around front driver's side front fender where damage exists, edge of muffler housing, and just a bit around interior gas tank door.

Acura ZDX getting the axe after 2013 despite new updates [w/poll]
Wed, 10 Oct 2012The Acura ZDX hasn't exactly lived a conventional existence, so perhaps we shouldn't be surprised that its death announcement isn't going according to standard industry protocol, either. Parent company Honda has taken the unusual step of trumpeting a refreshed-for-2013 model while simultaneously announcing that this will be the model's last year. According to Acura, the model's cancellation comes as the brand "sharpens its focus on new models and core products" like the forthcoming RLX sedan.
The audaciously styled crossover has been, to be charitable, a very reluctant seller since its 2009 introduction, but for 2013, Acura is jazzing up its concept car for the street with new kit. The changes include a lightly reworked front shield grille along with new power folding side mirrors and new tech features including lane departure and forward collision warning systems.
We'd say that announcing the model's discontinuation at the same time one is presenting a freshened model could hurt sales, but we're not sure there's anyone paying attention. Last year, Acura managed to shift just 1,564 units of the ZDX, giving it the No. 4 spot on our Worst Sellers of 2011 list. Through September, Automotive News reports that only 642 examples have been sold in 2012, making it one of the rarest new cars on the market.

2017 Acura NSX | 2017 Autoblog Technology of the Year Finalist
Tue, Jan 24 2017Like its iconic predecessor, the second-generation Acura NSX blazes trails. The old NSX proved that you could get reliability and daily use from an exotic car, and subsequently changed the automotive world. Acura's engineers pushed in a new direction for the prodigal successor: technology. And so the new NSX sets a new bar in the way technology is used to achieve speed. The highlight here is the Sport Hybrid SH-AWD system, which supplements the 500-horsepower twin-turbo V6 with three electric motors, making 573 peak ponies. The two front motors each act on a front wheel, doing all kinds of tricks to help the car corner faster, brake harder, and accelerate like the proverbial cannon shot. They help make the NSX more stable at high speed, and let you sneak up on unsuspecting video producers at low speed. Then there's the third motor sandwiched between the engine and nine-speed transmission, which never lets a shift go by without filling in the milliseconds with velvety torque. If the all-wheel-drive hybrid supercar sounds familiar, yes, Porsche did something similar with the 918 Spyder. But even when you load the options on the NSX (try not to, we dare you), it's never more than a fifth the price of the Porsche. Then there are the little details, like a new form of casting Honda engineers developed for the NSX's crash structure. Or the three-dimensional bend to the A-pillar and roof rail that makes it less obstructive to the driver and also stronger. Even the Marysville, Ohio factory gets some credit here, with 12 patents filed relating to the assembly process. There's only so much a driver can do with two hands and two feet. The NSX takes your inputs and figures out how to maximize the contribution from each individual wheel. This is a car that harnesses all the greatness of technology to change what's possible in a sports car.Related Video: 2017 Acura NSX | First Drive
