Unfortunately the time has come... we are moving overseas and I am forced to sell my 2003 Acura CL-S...

I have FOR SALE a 2003 Acura CL Type-S, 6 speed! The color is Nighthawk Black Pearl w/ Ebony leather interior. This is an extremely limited car, as it's the only year the CL was produced with a six speed manual transmission. This car is so rare, only 480 cars were produced in this configuration! (That's even more limited than my 1998 Integra Type-R!) This car is fully loaded with leather power heated seats, power moonroof, Cruise Control, remote powered door locks, BOSEŽ surround sound system with 6 disc cd w/ cassette and steering wheel controls.

Car currently has just over 60,000 miles! Tires have been recently replaced (Kumho hi-performance ASX 225-45 17s) as well as K&N filter, spark plugs, and always fresh Mobil 1 for the entire life of the car. (I had the service records pulled from the dealership the car was originally sold from.)

This is the cleanest, most meticulously maintained 2003 CL Type-S 6-speed you are going to find. The car has lowered Comptech Sport Springs, iridium plugs, a K&N high performance filter, and painted center caps. The car had a new Mugen clutch and upgraded transmission added at around 27K mi.

Additional photos can be viewed at http://www.essayphoto.com/acura/

Asking price is $12,250, All offers will be considered, but please no lowballing. I am not in that big of a hurry to sell. I have owned this car for the past 6 years and it has been an incredibly fun and fast car to drive, it has also been extremely reliable.  The car is very clean and well maintained. I am the second owner of the car and purchased it in 2006 at 24,000 miles. I  have the receipts to document the service history since new.

It runs great with no known mechanical issues

Features:
3.2 Liter VTEC 6 cylinder engine

2016 Acura NSX grows into its updated styling for the 2015 Detroit Auto Show [w/videos]

Tue, Jan 13 2015

It's not immediately clear at first glance, but the Acura NSX as it appears on the floor at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show is a far cry from the concept from the 2013 show. These days, the NSX packs a twin-turbo, longitudinally mounted V6 with over 550 horsepower on tap and nine-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Although, the three-motor hybrid setup remains with two units at the front and one for the rear axle. The numerous slashes and scoops make the design look much more aggressive than the earlier concept, but the changes go much deeper than the new skin. There's an inch of extra width and 3.1-inches more overall, including 0.8-inches extra length in the wheelbase. Underneath it all, is a carbon fiber floor and aluminum-intensive chassis to provide strength to harness all of its power. Unfortunately, Acura isn't specifically announcing engine output, the weight or the design's drag coefficienct yet, so there are still questions to answer. However production starts in fall 2015 with the order books opening in the summer. Pricing is among the factors that the Japanese brand isn't discussing, but it likely costs about $150,000 to park the company's latest supercar in your driveway. In the meantime, enjoy admiring this upcoming entry in the hybrid supercar market. Related Video:

Acura TLX GT racecar to make motorsports debut at Detroit Grand Prix

Mon, 31 Mar 2014

Acura debuted its TLX GT racecar at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show earlier this year, and it looks like the racer is set to get its first competitive outing in Motown as well. The RealTime Racing team is competing with a single car driven by Peter Cunningham for the Pirelli World Challenge rounds during the Detroit Grand Prix from May 30 through June 1.
Honda Performance Development is developing the TLX GT with a direct-injected, twin-turbocharged V6 engine, based on the production, naturally aspirated version, and all-wheel drive helps maintain traction. A second car is being added to the effort later.
The turbocharged Acura sedan will face competition in the series from vehicles like the Audi R8 LMS, Cadillac CTS-V, Dodge Viper, Nissan GT-R, Porsche 911 and more. With the Detroit Grand Prix hosting the sixth and seventh races in the Pirelli World Challenge GT class schedule, it doesn't seem that Acura is expecting to win the series in its debut season, but it will surely gain valuable experience.

Lexus LC 500 dominates 2016 EyesOn Design Awards

Wed, Jan 13 2016

The Lexus LC 500 captured top honors for the best-designed production car and the best interior at the 10th annual EyesOn Design awards at the Detroit Auto Show. The awards are handed out by the Detroit Institute of Ophthalmology. The Buick Avista won the concept car category, just as its four-door predecessor, the Avenir, did last year. Other winners this year included the Chrysler Pacifica, which won for the best-designed production "truck" (as crossovers and minivans are sometimes categorized), and the Audi H-Tron Quattro, which won for the best concept truck. The Acura Precision concept was also recognized for its "innovative use of color, graphics, and materials." And the new Volvo S90 was singled out for its human-machine interface. The panel of jurists this year included designers from an array of automakers and art schools. Several past honorees for the organization's LifeTime Design Achievement Award participated in the voting, including GM's Wayne Cherry, BMW DesignworksUSA founder Chuck Pelly, Hyundai's Peter Schreyer, and Jack Telnack (formerly of Ford). Telnack also served on the select panel of chief judges this year, alongside Chris Chapman from Hyundai, Dave Marek from Acura, and Stewart Reed from the Art Center College of Design.
