2005 Acura TSX - Black 6 Speed

120K Miles, many of which are highway from my long commute to work.

I purchased this car in June of 2005 from a dealer.  There was only one owner before I purchased the car.  Car had 43K miles on it when I purchased it.

Body and interior are very clean, minimal wear on driver seat, even less on other seats.  Non-Smoker as well.  No accidents, no paintwork ever!  Hard to find like that.

Comes with winter wheels (original OEM wheels) with Continental Extreme Contract DWS all season tires.  If you dont want them, we can make an agreement to deduct from the price.

I have the car professionally detailed twice per year and I wash it all the time.  Garage kept, does not sit outside at all times.  Interior is also conditioned at least twice per year.  Have all paperwork from when I purchased the car up until now.  Recenlty took it to the acura dealer for a complete inspection and they did not come back with anything.  Also have the paperwork for that.

Has XM, (still have about 3 months on the current subscription) heated seats, power everything, two keys with key fobs, etc.

Recent Updates:
New NGK Plugs
new serpentine belt
new cabin air filter (replaced every year)
K&N air filter recharged
Radiator Flush and Fill
Fuel System treatment
A/C was making noise so had the complete system replaced (Common on TSX)  Has 1 year warranty from June 2013
New tires (Kumho Ectsa) mounted on 2007 TSX Wheels
Have winter TSX wheels with Continental Extreme Contact DWS tires, roughly 60-70% tread.  At least another 20K miles for the winters.  These are also included if you want them.
All season mats (OEM mats come with car as well, they are dirty and used but can be cleaned)

The car had a squeek in the clutch at about 67K miles.  I had previously had it in to the dealer for the same noise which they thought they fixed.  At 67K, under warranty, the dealer replaced the clutch, clutch master cylinder, bearing, fork, spring, bolt release, etc..The entire clutch system.  With that, this clutch should easily see another 100K miles.

Other items replaced: Door lock actuators, common on tsx, all replaced.  Power Steering hose recall done, seat belt switch done under warranty, thats about it.  This car has been the best car I have ever owned and im sure it will be for the next buyer.  Family is expanding so we need to get a larger car or SUV.  That is the only reason for selling.

There are some scratches here and there, a tiny door ding on the passenger rear door and a small dent on the front driver fender.  People think the car is new when they get in it and they are shocked when I say it is an 05. Needs nothing but a new owner.  If you are not satisfied with the car when you come and pick it up, I will refund your deposit.

**The last picture is the car with the winter wheels, just so you see them.

Let me know if there are any questions or if you would like other pictures.  Thanks.  216-798-5567

Acura recalling 76,000 TSX sedans in certain cold-weather states

Sun, 24 Mar 2013

Parent company Honda is issuing a recall for Acura TSX vehicles from model years 2004 to 2008, for a rather interesting fault with the electrical systems (well, kind of). It seems that TSX made between during that range have carpeting that degrades when it becomes saturated with "corrosive materials for deicing." The carpeting is in contact with each Acura's electronic control unit, which may in turn rust or become corroded as a result. All of that business could cause the engine to stall.
Acura is singling out cars registered in states that use these corrosive deicing materials (presumably road salt): Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin and the District of Columbia.
Owners of affected vehicles will be notified by Honda and instructed to bring their cars into the nearest Acura dealership. Dealers will inspect the ECU for damage, replace if needed, and cover with a waterproof piece; all free of charge. Check out the official recall notice below.

Acura prices hand-built TLX PMC Edition at $50,945

Wed, Jul 10 2019

Acura unveiled the 2020 TLX PMC Edition sedan at this year's New York Auto Show along with the MDX PMC Edition Prototype. Both models adopt the same hand-finished build processes employed at Honda's Performance Manufacturing Center to create the Acura NSX. In the case of the sedan, that means a body-in-white pulled off the line at Honda's Marysville plant so that PMC technicians can install the interior, drivetrain, suspension, wiring harnesses, and electronics. After that, the TLX PMC undergoes the same quality control checks conducted on the NSX, including a dyno run and water leak test. The price: $50,945, which includes $1,995 for handling and destination. In addition to the craftsmanship, the sedan combines two options that normally cannot be combined, the A-Spec and Advance Packages. They install the 290-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 and Super Handling All-Wheel Drive, the A-Spec's stiffer dampers and quicker steering ratio, plus sharper exterior components like the restyled bumper, larger exhaust tips, and gloss black roof panel. Comfort features include heated and ventilated front sport seats, leather and Alcantara seating, black leather steering wheel, black headliner, surround-view camera, heated rear seats, and Acura's 10-speaker ELS Studio audio system. Cosmetic go-fast changes are seen in the red instrument cluster and red accent lighting. The whole package gets drenched in Valencia Red Pearl paint formerly exclusive to the NSX but making one special appearance here, the crimson infused with mica, metal flake and "nano pigments" for keener color. Black, 10-spoke, 19-inch wheels anchor the sedan to the road. The U.S. will see just 360 examples of the TLX PMC, each one numbered with a plaque on the dash. Deliveries to dealers begin this month — each sedan transported in a single-car carrier. The entire production run is scheduled to take six months, after which we're told Acura will begin working on the MDX PMC.

2015 Acura TLX

Mon, 04 Aug 2014

Immediately after landing at Washington's Dulles airport, an Acura representative handed me the keys to a 2014 TSX with fewer than 180 miles on its clock. The four-cylinder engine started and I pointed its signature beak towards a destination in Middleburg, VA. It was a curious move by the Japanese automaker, especially considering that I had flown no less than 2,300 miles to drive the discontinued vehicle's ostensible successor, the all-new 2015 Acura TLX.
Yet spending a solid 40 minutes with a sparkling-new version of the outgoing model that still smelled showroom fresh, allowed me an opportunity to scrutinize the dropped sedan and remind myself why it had never really blown me away - it was good at doing many things, but truly great at doing none.
Time with the TSX also started me thinking about the Acura TL, the second model that the TLX will effectively replace. I have better memories of the slightly larger sedan, especially the SH-AWD 6MT trim - it's a solid driver's car - but it, too, fell short in areas where competitors, including the Audi A4, BMW 3 Series, Cadillac ATS, Lexus IS and Mercedes-Benz C-Class, excelled.
