2004 Acura Tsx Base Sedan 4-door 2.4l on 2040-cars
Wayne, New Jersey, United States
I am selling my 2004 Acura TSX with ~137K highway miles. The car runs great and has been regularly maintained only at Acura dealerships and I replaced all four tires recently. It has never had an issue in connection to its transmission or engine. I am the 2nd owner of this car and have had it since my senior year of high school. So I have definitely taken good care of this baby. The car was first owned by Open Road Acura of Wayne and was used by its executives as a corporate fleet. It was then sold to me as an Acura certified preowned vehicle.
With the loaded premium features (see full details below) and the price of this car, it would be an ideal first car for high school and college students. Acura is the luxury brand of Honda, which is known for its durability. This car will easily sell at $9000 at any car dealer, but I want to make sure this car goes to someone who will take care of it like myself. ****CARFAX AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST**** Details: VIN:JH4CL96824C013700, 4dr-sedan, automatic transmission, silver/black leather interior, 4-Cylinder 2.4L VTEC engine w/ 204 HP, 4 Wheel Disc Brakes, Additional Power Outlet, Air Bag - Driver, Air Bag - Passenger, Air Bag - Side, Air Bags - Head, Air Conditioning, Brakes-Abs-4 Wheel, Bucket Seats, Built-In Garage Door Opener, 6-CD Changer, CD Player, Dual Climate Control, Front Wheel Drive, Headlights-Auto-Off, Headlights-High Intensity Discharge, Intermittent Wipers, Leather Seats, Mirrors-Pwr Driver, Mirrors-Vanity-Driver, Mirrors-Vanity-Driver Illuminated, Mirrors-Vanity-Passenger, Mirrors-Vanity-Passenger Illuminated, Power Door Locks, Power Driver Seat, Power Steering, Reading Lamps-Front, Rear Defrost, Remote Keyless Entry, Remote Trunk Release, Roof - Power Sunroof, Roof-Sun/Moon, Seat-Heated Driver, Seat-Lumbar-Driver, Seat-Rear Pass-Through, Steering Wheel Stereo Controls, Steering Wheel-Leather Wrapped, Tilt Wheel, Traction Control, Wheels-Aluminum |

eBay Find of the Day: Ayrton Senna's 1993 Honda NSX
Fri, 09 Aug 2013It's not often that things owned by the late Ayrton Senna come up for sale, but the seller of this black-on-black 1993 Honda NSX (aka, Acura NSX) eBay find claims it was once owned by the Formula One legend, and that he left a footprint on the factory carpet that can still be seen today. (Footprint, or vacuum lines?...)
NSX no. T000999 was given to Senna as a gift from his mentor and sponsor, Antonio de Almeida Braga, the seller claims, and it was stored at a palace near the Estoril F1 circuit in Portugal. He also was known to drive two other NSXs, a black one and a red one - the latter in which he was seen often.
The seller claims to have owned T000999, which is still in Portugal, for 17 years, and the 31,000-mile odometer indicates it was driven about 1,500 miles per year on average. Thankfully the car has been kept stock, so whoever buys it can enjoy driving it just as Senna did - that is, if the car actually is what it's claimed to be. If the story checks out, then this is one valuable NSX, which is reflected in the high minimum starting bid of 47,500 pounds ($73,620). There have been no bids at time of writing, but with nine days left in the auction, we'll be keeping our eyes on this one.
Honda marks 20 million vehicles made in the USA
Thu, 20 Mar 2014Japanese automakers manufacturing in the United States is nothing new. But it was in November of 1982 when the first Honda Accord rolled off the assembly line in Marysville, OH. It was the first Japanese vehicle assembled in the US, and in the nearly 32 years since, Honda has made 10 million Accords here for a total of 20 million cars manufactured in America - enough to span from New York to San Francisco twenty times. It's that double landmark which Honda is now celebrating.
Honda has come a long way in those three decades, keeping that original plant in Marysville on line while expanding to three more - in East Liberty, OH; Lincoln, AL; and Greensburg, IN - with a fifth plant (the Performance Manufacturing Center) opening on the same site in Marysville to build the Acura NSX next year. It also builds engines in Lincoln and in Anna, OH, and automatic transmissions at Russells Point, OH, and Tallapoosa, GA.
Between those seven sites, Honda produces 11 different models, including the Accord, Civic, Crosstour, CR-V, Pilot, Odyssey and Ridgeline as well as the Acura ILX, TL, RDX and MDX. Production keeps on ramping up as Honda produced a record 1.3 million vehicles in the US last year, 95 percent of which are sold in the US. Scope out the details in the press release below and click the image above to see it all laid out in a handy infographic.
Acura RDX Luggage Test | How much cargo space?
Tue, Jun 23 2020The Acura RDX is considered a compact luxury SUV, but there's actually very little that's compact about it. When lined up against its competitors, you can see that it enjoys a clear dimensional advantage. In fact, the RDX is pretty close to the Lexus RX, with an identical rear legroom figure and considerably more cargo space with the back seat raised. Obviously, I'll be addressing the latter here. On paper, Acura provides several cargo numbers calling out specific SAE measurement standards for each one. Basically, it has 31.1 cubic-feet behind its back seat when you include its underfloor storage and 29.5 cubic-feet when you don't. Even that smaller number is superior to everything in the segment save the Volvo XC60 (29.7), while the Lexus RX apparently has a seems-way-too-small 18.4. Let's see what that size advantage means. It's obvious that this is a comparatively deep and wide space with plenty of air above the back seat line for bulkier items. Note that the cargo cover was not present in this test vehicle, so I couldn't test capacity with it in place. As in every luggage test, I use two midsize roller suitcases that would need to be checked in at the airport (26 inches long, 16 wide, 11 deep), two roll-aboard suitcases that just barely fit in the overhead (24L x 15W x 10D), and one smaller roll-aboard that fits easily (23L x 15W x 10D). I also include my wife's fancy overnight bag just to spruce things up a bit (21L x 12W x 12D). There you go, all the bags fit easily. This is pretty much identical to the Lexus RX (below left) and a much easier fit than the Mercedes GLC, which is one of the only other compact luxury models I've tested. Both of these examples are more capacious than their specs would indicate. However, this is not the end of the RDX story. Remember when I mentioned that it has 31.1 cubic-feet when including its underfloor storage? Well, that might actually be underselling the extra space gained. First, I like that the floor flips back and rests flat so you can easily use the extra space. You can also fully remove the floor piece to gain access to the aft bin, which is deeper but oddly shaped. Here are my four largest bags standing up, with sufficient rear visibility maintained, and you still have the full-width section of the cargo area including the underfloor bin. What can you fit there? How about a 38-quart cooler and the remaining two bags stacked haphazardly around it.
