Rare 6 Speed 2010 Acura Tl Sh-awd Sedan 4-door 3.7l on 2040-cars
Somerset, New Jersey, United States
This is a pretty rare 6 speed manual transmission Acura TL SH-AWD with the technology package. Black on black with tints (put on by the previous owner). I bought this car from Bridgewater Acura in NJ as a certified preowned vehicle with just under 10k miles on it. I bought this car to make a weekly commute from Hoboken, NJ to Woburn, MA (near Boston). After a few months of doing that I took a new job in the city and haven't been using this car much anymore. Right now I only use it one or two weekends a month when I have a specific need for a car. I'm in no rush to sell it. If I don't get the price I'm looking for I may just hold on to it and start parking it out here in the city area. Car is in excellent mechanical condition and has low milage. None of the buttons, instruments, or compartments inside have any issues or even show signs of wear. The only cosmetic blemishes are outside as described above. Oil and differential fluid changed about 200-300 miles ago along with a full mechanical inspection that checked out ok. Title is clear and in hand (i.e. there are no loans on this car, I fully own it). I am currently parking the car at my friends place so I can only arrange to be there to show the car on the weekends or holidays. If you want to test drive the car I will need the deductible for my insurance ($1000) prior to you driving it. The money will be returned to you after the test drive assuming you don't crash or damage the car. I'm also willing to give you a ride in it if you don't want to bring the money to cover the deductible. Feel free to message me with any questions. |

Acura TLX GT Racecar bringing the 'X factor' to Pirelli World Challenge
Tue, 14 Jan 2014One doesn't normally think of Acura offering anything to mix it up with the SRT Viper, Lamborghini Gallardo, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, Nissan GT-R, Audi R8 and Ferrari 458 Italia (at least while the NSX is still off in the ether), but that's exactly what's about to happen. Honda's premium outpost is jumping into the top tier of the Pirelli World Challenge with this 2015 TLX GT.
The surprise reveal of this racecar at today's Detroit Auto Show will be campaigned by RealTime Racing, no stranger to racing Acuras, in the GT class (previously, the team had campaigned the series a rung down in GT-S).
The racecar is powered by a twin-turbo variant of the direct-injected V6 to be found in the production TLX sedan, right along with its Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive system. There's no word on how much power this HPD-massaged engine will put out in race trim, but we won't have to wait long to hear it fire up - the car is set to take to the track with team owner Peter Cunningham at the wheel in the next few weeks.
2017 Acura NSX | 2017 Autoblog Technology of the Year Finalist
Tue, Jan 24 2017Like its iconic predecessor, the second-generation Acura NSX blazes trails. The old NSX proved that you could get reliability and daily use from an exotic car, and subsequently changed the automotive world. Acura's engineers pushed in a new direction for the prodigal successor: technology. And so the new NSX sets a new bar in the way technology is used to achieve speed. The highlight here is the Sport Hybrid SH-AWD system, which supplements the 500-horsepower twin-turbo V6 with three electric motors, making 573 peak ponies. The two front motors each act on a front wheel, doing all kinds of tricks to help the car corner faster, brake harder, and accelerate like the proverbial cannon shot. They help make the NSX more stable at high speed, and let you sneak up on unsuspecting video producers at low speed. Then there's the third motor sandwiched between the engine and nine-speed transmission, which never lets a shift go by without filling in the milliseconds with velvety torque. If the all-wheel-drive hybrid supercar sounds familiar, yes, Porsche did something similar with the 918 Spyder. But even when you load the options on the NSX (try not to, we dare you), it's never more than a fifth the price of the Porsche. Then there are the little details, like a new form of casting Honda engineers developed for the NSX's crash structure. Or the three-dimensional bend to the A-pillar and roof rail that makes it less obstructive to the driver and also stronger. Even the Marysville, Ohio factory gets some credit here, with 12 patents filed relating to the assembly process. There's only so much a driver can do with two hands and two feet. The NSX takes your inputs and figures out how to maximize the contribution from each individual wheel. This is a car that harnesses all the greatness of technology to change what's possible in a sports car.Related Video: 2017 Acura NSX | First Drive
