I bought this car new from Metro in Montclair.
I have only used Mobil 1 Synthetic oil from the 3000 mile mark.
I have only ever used 91 fuel, Chevron mostly with the exception to Shell as well.
I can honestly say I had to use crap gas (Arco) 8 times total, putting anywhere from $3-8 (just enough to get the car to a Chevron or Shell).
The car was taken to Metro Acura for its 20k, 50k, and 100k regular maintenance.
Last major service everything was done to the car, timing belt, new struts, breaks, tires, filters, adjustments, tranny service (can't remember everything off hand)

I drive like an old man, once in a blue moon, I do drive hard, but its a once a year type thing. When shifting I have always waited a few seconds between shifts to allow the tranny to do its thing. I also use the parking break before putting the car in park. After my Accord's tranny went out, and I bought this car, I pampered it like my own child.

There is a Viper 5901 Aftermarket alarm installed on the vehicle, also has the Remote Start feature, and the ability to lock, unlock, panic, trunk and start the car up to a mile (in sight) away with the Viper remote system. The Viper system has the ability to kill the engine from starting if theft is detected. It also has motion sensors, a 2 way pager which will page you if your alarm is going off.

It also has a car computer installed. I will throw in the computer for an extra $1000.
If you goto you tube, and type "car computer acura tl" the first link by Anish Patel is the car computer and all its features.  Check it out.  It is like a 16 minute demonstration.

Watch the you tube video link above to see what it can do. If you are not interested read on...
If you don't get the car computer with the car, you still have the ability to use the input, and switches to it. You can install an XBOX, a DVD PLAYER, PLAYSTATION, PSP... Great for those Vegas Trips. If you don't then you can revert to the stock Nav and I will close up all wiring in the trunk to before selling the vehicle to you.
Vehicle is sold as is.

Cons-
Hand break was chewed up by dog, its not horrible, or anything like that, still works fine.
Front seats and back look like any TL that hits 100,000 miles. The back is in way better condition There are holes in the seats, nothing seat covers couldn't fix, or an upholster.
Has been in 2 accidents, one of which quarter panel and hood was replaced.
No real body damage or scratches
Only scratch is on front bumper passenger side where a curb was scrapped in the in-and-out drive thru. (I never hit the curve but this In and out was ridiculous)
Where the handle for the driver door is (pull handles), the paint is scratched from the obvious reason. Basically where your fingernails would hit it as you open the door.

Pros
Computer and all its accessories (see the 12 minute video link above)
Viper Alarm
It has <130,000 miles on it today
Stock Navigation system
3.2L V6

New 2022 Acura MDX platform to underpin future Hondas

Mon, Feb 15 2021

The 2022 Acura MDX introduces a new platform to the Acura and Honda lineup called the Global Light Truck Platform, and it's currently exclusive to the MDX. The new 2021 Acura TLX is also built on a totally new platform that isn’t shared with any other Honda or Acura. Going further back, when the redesigned 2019 RDX debuted, Acura said that model was built on “a new-from-the-ground-up, Acura-exclusive platform." ThatÂ’s three totally-new and Acura-exclusive platforms in a short time period, and it got us thinking. What is Acura up to here?  Most manufacturers these days are increasingly going in the exact opposite direction. VolkswagenÂ’s MQB architecture underpins everything from the hot hatch GTI to the gigantic Atlas. ToyotaÂ’s TNGA platform has multiple sizes/versions, but Toyota still considers them related and will tell you that TNGA is the basis of cars from the Corolla on up to the Highlander, plus the Lexus UX and ES. You can find similar stories all across the industry, in both luxury and non-luxury brands. Acura, on the other hand, appears to be taking a totally different approach. To get some clarity on strategy, we reached out to Acura. The answers are multifaceted, but Acura says it's spending money where it pays dividends for performance — but there's also more sharing between models than it might look like on the surface. “The definition of what constitutes a 'common platform' varies by automaker,” Acura exclusively told Autoblog during a wide-ranging e-mail interview involving the input of numerous engineers and product planners. “For us, the most fundamental value is to maintain the same carry points throughout production and enable us to produce different vehicles in the same manufacturing environment.” As an example, the TLX and RDX feature similar carry points in the chassis to enable their production on the same line, but thatÂ’s where the two diverge. “The TLX is different in that it has a bespoke platform that is not shared with any other Acura or Honda vehicle,” Acura says.

Acura NSX to end production in blaze of glory with Type S

Tue, Aug 3 2021

Production of the Acura NSX is coming to an end after the 2022 model year. Before it goes, though, Acura is promising one last hurrah, in the form of a Type S variant. Said to have performance improvements and limited production, it will prove to be the ultimate form of Honda's second-generation supercar. So far, Acura has only released some teasers and a few vague statements. Now, normally when car companies make ambiguous declarations about improved performance, that means something like stiffer shocks or bigger rims (after all, handling is a form of performance, no?). In this case, Acura specifically says the NSX Type S will have more power and quicker acceleration in addition to sharper handling. That's some real talk, even if no hard figures were provided at this time. From the teasers, we can see a few visual signifiers that will distinguish the Type S from regular NSXes. Firstly, the engine cover is finished in red, a color that has traditionally been reserved for high-performance Hondas like the Type R Civic, Integra, and the NSX of the '90s. Much of the brightwork seems to be blacked out, like the door handles and rear badge. They've also added a small Type S emblem located just in front of the rear wheels. Only 350 Type S variants will be built, with 300 of them allocated for the U.S. market. And it looks like the regular NSX may not even be available. Acura's website no longer shows the regular NSX. Only the Type S is shown under the model selection menu. Prices of the first-generation NSX, introduced in 1990 and considered one of the best supercars of its era, have been on a steady rise in recent years. It's hard to say whether this generation NSX will follow suit in the collectors' market decades from now, as despite positive reviews it never quite caught with brand-conscious buyers. But if it does end up becoming a sought-after classic, though, the Type S will surely be worth a hefty premium. The NSX Type S will be fully revealed next Thursday, August 12, during Monterey Car Week, where the very first serial production 2022 NSX Type S will be sold to the highest bidder at Mecum Auction’s Monterey sale on Saturday, Aug. 14. All proceeds from the sale of VIN #001 will benefit charity, including a STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) education program for underserved youth.

2019 Acura NSX Track Test Review | Exotic tech, exhilarating performance

Wed, Nov 7 2018

EAST LIBERTY, Ohio — The 2019 Acura NSX makes sonorous noises behind my ear as the tachometer soars toward 7,500 rpm. My hands grip the squared-off steering wheel a bit too hard as I scrub off about 60 mph and dive into the first corner of the Transportation Research Center (TRC) dynamic handling course. There's 3,878 pounds of car beneath me, but the front tires do exactly what my hands tell them to, without hesitation, and I'm through the double apex corner without even thinking about the defiance of physics I just witnessed. On paper, a nearly 4,000-pound track car makes no sense. Yet in practice, it's just as tossable and eager to change direction as something much lighter. This is the NSX's party trick, thanks to some magic with the suspension and all-wheel drive system on this car. And while the new NSX is a very different vehicle than its predecessor, it was born of a similar spirit of innovation and forward thinking. The original Acura NSX hit the streets in 1991, establishing a new set of rules for every supercar released since. Constructed of an aluminum body — still an exotic material mainly used in competition vehicles — with curves that still drop jaws today, it was every bit as sophisticated as a Ferrari. But unlike Ferraris of the time, it was also reliable and easy to drive. Slide behind the wheel of a 1991 NSX, and you'll be transported back to a time when outward visibility was still in style. You can see the ground right in front of the nose. Turn around, and there's nothing blocking your view but a low wing. It's essentially a bubble canopy. Acura knows owners of the original NSX, your author included, absolutely love this about their cars. The effort to make the cockpit of the NSX similar is appreciated, even if modern crash standards prevent a perfect implementation. There are other subtle throwbacks. Every original NSX made a distinctive intake whine when winding it up to 8,000 rpm, and the new NSX has real intake noise physically pumped into the cabin to replicate this sweet sound all the way through the rev band. Another echo of the original is the simplified, sedate dash layout — eminently usable and likely to age well. A simplified version of the new RDX infotainment system would have fit the bill, too, but sadly it's not present. Under way, however, the generational similarities cease. Our time on this trip in the 2019 model was spent solely on track at TRC, and it was a wholly different experience from the old car.
