2006 Acura Tl Silver 81k Miles Auto Excellent 3.2l on 2040-cars

Auction is for our Silver 2006 Acura TL with 81k easy miles. We are the 2nd owner, car is super clean, never smoked in, always garage kept. We currently have two '06 TLs and we're keeping one. We assumed we would keep both TLs so all BRAKES and ROTORS were replaced a few weeks ago with drilled/slotted rotors and good quality ceramic pads. Car has been very well maintained. Timing belt & water pump just replaced at 75k miles, even tho Acura recommends 105k. Two of the tires were recently replaced and have less than 300 miles. (The other two should be good for another 10k mi.) Note: Since replacing the tires, the Vsa light came on the dash. The tire shop said the computer "assumes" the new tires are a different size. Once the other two tires are replaced, all should be fine. This will be a great car for the next owner for several years to come. The overall paint condition is excellent. The front and rear bumpers have some scuffing from other cars. There are no door dings and no rust. We have both key remotes for drivers 1 and 2 - seat & mirror auto adjusts upon entry. Acura will show all-new MDX Prototype in Detroit
Wed, 12 Dec 2012Acura says it will show a prototype of its 2014 MDX crossover at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, and we'll admit that the announcement has left us in a bit of confusion. See, the Acura press release says that the MDX proto will present "Aero Sculpture" design language, "alluring proportions" and "arching body lines." It has been accompanied by a sketch (above, click to enlarge) that, indeed, shows off a swoopy, alluring CUV.
Yet we have spy shots from two months ago of what is supposed to be the 2014 MDX, and unless the camouflage is actually some sort of vehicular moo moo, there isn't really a swoopy line on it. It is stout and substantial, but not in a way that makes us think of "Aero Sculpture." We'll know in a few weeks where the truth resides. It would appear that Acura's rendering artist has done a masterful fade on the rear glass/D-pillar area of the vehicle.

2014 Honda Ridgeline keeps on truckin' with new special edition model
Fri, 06 Sep 2013Like many smaller trucks, the Honda Ridgeline has been left to stagnate on the market for far too many years. With production of the current model reportedly winding down later next year before production of the next-gen model picks up in 2016, Honda is sending the 2014 Ridgeline out with some style courtesy of a new Special Edition trim level.
The new Ridgeline SE essentially adds cues from the Ridgeline Sport to the luxurious RTL trim level. The means features like black-trimmed 18-inch alloys and matching interior trim arrives as a no-cost option. This new model carries the same starting price as the RTL at $37,505 (*not including $830 for destination), and all other trim level pricing is carried over unchanged from the 2013 model year. The new SE model won't be available until November, and it is not pictured in the image galleries (all of which seem to be identical to previous model years).
Speaking of carryover products, Honda has also released pricing for the unchanged 2014 Pilot and 2014 Acura TL, which will continue to be priced from $29,670 and $36,030, respectively (Acura's destination charge is $890). Scroll down for press releases on the 2014 Ridgeline, Pilot and TL.
Honda S2000, Acura RSX recalled over brake boosters
Fri, 14 Jun 2013Honda has announced a recall that affects two of our favorite, dearly departed cars from the brand's portfolio: the S2000 roadster and Acura RSX coupe. A total of 5,239 S2000 models from the 2006 and 2007 model years are affected by this problem, as are 13,113 2006 Acura RSX models.
"A production error may have allowed brake booster components to be produced outside of the original specifications, potentially causing decreased brake assistance over time, which could increase the risk of a crash," American Honda said in a press release. Thus, dealerships will inspect and, if necessary, replace the brake booster setups in these vehicles, free of charge.
No crashes or injuries have been reported in relation to this brake problem. Honda says the problem was discovered during warranty claim analysis.
