Here is a 2003 Acura TL in the best color combination. It is pearl white with a tan leather interior. It has just about every factory option except navigation. Power moon roof, automatic transmission, power windows, power heated leather seats, power mirrors, cruise control, alloy wheels, air bags, anti lock brakes, fog lights, keyless entry, and AM-FM-CD changer. Exterior:. The paint holds a nice shine and is very presentable. The body is straight as an arrow. There are NO dents or dings. The body is in excellent condition. A while back the car had a minor mishap. The right fender and bumper were repainted. This is indicated in the vehicle history report.. Interior: The interior is in excellent condition. The leather seats are in perfect condition.. Mechanical: The engine has plenty of power. The transmission shifts properly in all gears. The car drives smooth and straight on the highway. The heat and A/C work correctly. All power accessories operate correctly.. We had a mechanic inspect the vehicle prior to the sale. This was to insure a smooth and fair transaction for all parties. The inpection station found no mechanical issues. During that inspection the shop installed 4 Brand New tires, new wiper blades, and changed the oil. Payment: There is a $300 good faith deposit required to bid. . LoveFab headed back to Pikes Peak with NSX-based heathen [w/video]
Tue, 02 Apr 2013LoveFab had a rough run at Pikes Peak 2012. During qualifying on Day Two, owner and professional driver Cody Loveland launched his car off of the course at nearly 60 miles per hour. Never ones to be dismayed by a few bruised ribs and some busted body panels, LoveFab is headed back to the hill climb for 2013, and this year, it's bringing Garrett along as a title sponsor.
Loveland's chariot of choice is officially dubbed "Turbo by Garrett/LoveFab Pikes Peak Enviate" and is loosely based on an Acura NSX. All of the stock Japanese components have been swapped for LoveFab-built pieces with the exception of the subframes and suspension.
With a dry-sump LS1 V8, chromoly-tube chassis and a full carbon fiber body, the car is about as wild as they come. With around 800 pound-feet of torque on hand and a curb weight of under 2,000 pounds, the machine should give the mountain a run for its money. Acura NSX prototype gets back on track
Thu, 30 Oct 2014Developing a new vehicle is not without its complications, we're sure, but usually things follow a fairly predictable progression: you develop a prototype, you test it, test it and test it again, then you put it into production. What you don't expect is that your prototype will burn to the ground, but that's what famously happened to the NSX which Honda engineers were testing a few months ago.
Fortunately, the Acura NSX prototype is back on track, both literally and figuratively, as you can see from this latest batch of spy shots snapped at the Nürburgring. This camouflaged prototype looks pretty much the same as the last one, only, you know... less crispy. Which is to say, it looks pretty much ready to hit showrooms.
The naysayers may point out that Honda chose colder and damper weather to put the NSX back into testing - thereby mitigating the risk of another fire - but we're sure the Japanese automaker has been working hard to fix the flammability issues, whatever may have caused them, over the past few months. At least, we hope they have.
Airbag recall widens to include BMW, Chrysler, Ford and Toyota
Mon, 23 Jun 2014The recall of faulty airbag inflators supplied by Takata has exploded today to grow to seven automakers. In most cases, only models in certain high-humidity regions were affected because the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found in its investigation that moisture played a roll in determining whether there would be a problem. However, some companies opted for national campaigns. The exact number of affected models for these campaigns isn't yet known at this time.
BMW is recalling an undisclosed number of 325i, 325Xi, 330i and 330Xi models from the 2001 through 2005 model years and the 2001-2006 model year versions of the 325Ci and 330Ci for the driver side and passenger side inflators. Only vehicles currently registered in Florida, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and the US Virgin Islands are covered under this recall.
Neither Chrysler's filing with NHTSA nor its press release list the specific models affected, but a company spokesperson told Autoblog that at this time it only covers the driver and passenger side inflators for the 2006 Dodge Charger in Florida, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and the US Virgin Islands
