US $10,000.00
Year:2006 Mileage:88492
Location:

Ellicott City, Maryland, United States

Ellicott City, Maryland, United States

This is a well loved car with ~89,000 miles and in mechanically excellent condition. The oil has been changed every 5000 miles and it has been regularly serviced. The interior is black leather and has been maintained in good condition.  The exhaust modifications gives this car a rich, deep note. It is a reliable, fun, and beautiful car.

The only option offered from the factory for base model RSXs was leather seating. This car has black leather seats in flawless condition.

This RSX is equipped with a LoJack Stolen Vehicle Recovery System (~$695).  If the car is ever stolen, LoJack allows the police to track the car and recover it. They claim a 90% recovery rate.

The following modifications have been installed on the car:
AEM V2 Intake $250
Buddy Club Pro Spec catback exhaust $400
Debadged 'RSX' and 'Acura' on the rear of the car
Enkei 17x9 +35 RPF1 wheels with 215/45/17 tires with 20% tread left $1,000
8000k HID lowbeams $50
Kenwood aftermarket radio $80
Progress coilovers $1200
Progress 24mm rear sway bar $220
Progress 27mm front sway bar $150
Rear spoiler delete
SPC front and rear camber kits $180
Tail light rewire

All of these modifications are currently installed on the car. I also have all of the stock parts (exhaust, intake, wheels, springs/shocks, etc.) and I am happy to give them to you without additional charge, if you like. At the moment I don't have a spoiler on the car, however I do have two spoilers that I will include - the OEM base spoiler in addition to the A-spec wing.

There is no negative reason that I'm getting rid of the car, simply that I am interested in getting a different car. I've put more than 4 grand in modifications to this car - and comparing my price to a 'good' kbb value of ~$9300, this is a steal. This RSX is a beautiful, fun, and reliable car. I will continue to drive it daily, so the mileage will slowly increase. Thank you for looking and happy driving.

Also,
I constantly drive back and forth from College Park, MD to Ellicott City, MD.  Please email me if you would like to see the car in person and we can arrange something.

Honda recalling 204k CR-V, Odyssey, Acura RDX models over rollaway risk

Fri, 19 Apr 2013

Honda has announced a recall over a possible rollaway risk that affects 204,169 crossover and minivan models. The specific vehicles in question are the 2012-13 Honda CR-V and Odyssey, as well as the 2013 Acura RDX.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, "the brake-shift interlock blocking mechanism may become slow and allow the gear selector to be moved from the Park position without pressing the brake pedal." In other words, these vehicles could unintentionally roll away.
NHTSA states that this scenario may only happen during sub-freezing temperatures, but notes that this means the vehicles fail to conform with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 114: Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention. Honda will notify owners of the problem, and dealerships will install an updated interlocking mechanism free of charge.

Acura heading to SEMA with... a '93 Legend?

Wed, Oct 14 2015

Acura is gearing up for SEMA this year, and it'll be showing a 1993 Legend, the second-generation version of the sedan that had launched the brand in the first place. You read that right. The vehicle just happens to belong to one Christopher Bridges, better known to some as Ludacris and to others as Tej from the Fast and Furious movies. The Legend is the rapper-turned-actor's cherished possession, having appeared on the cover of his ninth studio album Ludaversal. It was involved in a collision recently, but is being painstakingly repaired, restored, and modified by Acura and will be on display at the Vegas tuner expo. Of course that's not all that Honda's premium division has in store for the show. It's also teaming up again with Galpin Auto Sports to customize a TLX and an ILX – the latter inspired by the aforementioned Ludacris project. Galpin may be better known for working on Fords, but did a custom TLX for last year's SEMA show as well. Joining the Legend and the Galpin customs will be a new NSX and an ILX fitted with several factory-backed accessories. Acura to Showcase Legendary Performance Heritage and Personalization at 2015 SEMA Show Oct 12, 2015 - TORRANCE, Calif. - Acura to unveil rapper, actor Ludacris' custom-restored 1993 Legend - Highly modified 2016 ILX by Galpin Auto Sports will also debut at SEMA during the Acura press conference on Nov. 3 Acura's 2015 SEMA showcase will be highlighted by a custom-restored 1993 Acura Legend sedan owned by actor and rap artist Ludacris. Stepping up its game from the 2014 SEMA Show – where the performance-oriented Galpin Auto Sports Acura TLX was unveiled – the luxury brand will also feature a wide variety of vehicles showcasing its performance heritage and its products' customization potential at the 2015 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Following a collision that severely damaged Ludacris' cherished 1993 Legend, Team Acura set about to artfully restore and modify the vehicle under the guidance of Acura Design Studio in Los Angeles and under the watchful eye of Acura Global Creative Director, Dave Marek. Fans can follow the build progress leading up to SEMA on Acura (@Acura) and Ludacris' (@Ludacris) social media channels and by using the hashtag #LegendaryDuo. "Working with a real car guy and a passionate Acura owner like Ludacris has made the processes of bringing his Legend back to its original glory a fun and unique experience," said Marek.

2014 Acura MDX ad campaign the most expensive in brand's history

Mon, 24 Jun 2013

Realizing that it must spend more marketing dollars to compete with the more established luxury automakers, Acura is preparing to launch its most expensive ad campaign ever for its redesigned 2014 MDX. At $78 million, according to Advertising Age, the new "Made for Mankind" campaign that kicks off next month is exactly double what Acura spent on the 2013 RDX launch last year. It's also the brand's first cooperation with its new agency, Boston- and Los-Angeles-based Mullen Advertising. Thanks to its bigger budget, we'll be seeing ads for the MDX pop up just about everywhere from television commercials, cinemas and billboards to videos focused on computers and mobile devices.
The first such video is entitled "Human Race," and it enunciates Acura's recent tagline highlight, the synergy between man and machine. More interestingly, the 2014 MDX, which went on sale this month, doesn't make an appearance in the 60-second spot until close to the end. This video is posted below as well as a press release from Acura along with images of various ads we should start soon.
