We bought this 1996 Acura 3.5 RL with 76,000 miles on it. It now has 182,545 miles. These miles were driven by my wife and runs very well, strong and smooth riding. The timing belt, water pump and all other belts were changed at 162,000 miles.
We put new rear struts on about 175,000 miles. Front tires are good, rear tires are getting worn. It has all leather seats, power front seats, heated seats, cold air conditioning, power sunroof.
The oil has been changed every 3,000 to 4,000 miles. The brake calipers are all new within the last year. The only couple things wrong with the car is: The engine light stays on. It has been on now for the last 2 years. You can get it to shut off , but it comes back on within a month or so. We had a mechanic look at it and it is no big deal for it to be on. It is just an idiot light. :)
The left rear window will not go down and might need a new motor. The body is still in good shape for the most part. The paint looks alright, not perfect. This has been a very dependable car for us. The reason why we are selling it is due to us purchasing a new 2004 Acura 3.5 RL. The reserve on this 1996 Acura 3.5 RL is fair and low.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to message me through ebay or call 330-420-8151 or 330-692-0448 . Thanks.
Please note: This is pick up only, I can end this auction at any time, we will only accept cash in hand. Thank you. (NO CASHIERS, PERSONAL OR CERTIFIED CHECK)
THIS WOULD BE THE PERFECT FIRST TIME CAR FOR A HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT OR A GREAT WORK CAR. :)

2014 Acura MDX goes for a camouflaged cruise
Tue, 16 Oct 2012While the often misunderstood (and infrequently purchased) Acura ZDX may be going the way of the dinosaur, the company's far more conventional and successful MDX SUV is evolving. In fact, the 2014 MDX seems to be coming along rather nicely, if this latest set of spy images is any indication.
In the camouflaged prototype we see here, it is evident that Acura designers are going for a beefier look for the MDX front end. The current car's pointed and beaked nose are nowhere in evidence on this tester, though some version of Acura's prominent shield grille does seem to remain.
It's a bit difficult to tell if the shape of the glasshouse is much revised on this new car, as the camo is applied in such a fashion as to obscure the post C-pillar design. But it does seem as though, when we look hard at the full-profile shots of the MDX, that the wheel-arch bulges and side character lines of the current vehicle have been replaced with much simpler surfacing.
2013 Acura ILX Hybrid
Wed, 10 Jul 2013This Is Not The Acura You're Looking For
Mid-level luxury brands have always had to do a bit of leg work to distance themselves from their more common cousins. Thanks to generation after generation of pervasive badge engineering (much of it from the Big Three), buyers can't be blamed for looking at brands like Buick, Lincoln, Infiniti, Lexus and yes, Acura as tarted up versions of Chevrolet, Ford, Nissan, Toyota and Honda products. For much of its lifetime in the automotive landscape, however, Acura has excelled at putting distance between its offerings and that of its parent company thanks to cars with superior driving dynamics, quieter cabins and clean, attractive aesthetics.
Yes, outliers and dull spots can be found in the company's recent track record, but by and large, Acura products remain situated well above the Honda rabble. When the brand announced it was getting serious about the luxury small car game with the ILX, those of us with a set of the company's keys in our past couldn't help but envision an honest successor to the long-dead Integra. Turns out, that wasn't what Acura had in mind.
Is the original Acura NSX a perfect supercar?
Fri, Nov 20 2015The long-awaited arrival of the second coming of the Acura NSX has naturally brought with it many deep retrospectives on the first Acura NSX. Xcar is the latest with a stint in the time capsule, lining up three NSXs to sample at a track in the UK. There's the red wonder that started it all, the standard aluminum-bodied car that went on sale in 1990, so simple and easy-to-drive, extracting more joy than many thought possible from a 3.0-liter V6 with 'just' 270 horsepower and 210 pound-feet of torque. The 25-year-old exotic shows its years, but mostly because of an automatic transmission that dampens throttle response and doesn't like changing gears. The praises it earned in the day, however, still remain, namely excellent steering, handling, and feedback. After that comes laps in the first NSX Type R, the model that lost more than 250 pounds by having no air conditioning, sound deadening, or stereo, and lightweight tweaks like carbon seats and thinner glass. Although it the tuning makes it much harder, the presenter wants to know, "Why isn't Honda making a car like this today?" Then there's the 2002 model, the one that would only last three years before closing the door on a fifteen-year run. It got better at the same time as it got softer, but by then the NSX had nothing left to prove; it hit every one of its targets, it realigned the segment in ways we're still benefiting from, and for at least half of its run nothing else could touch it. Based on the reviews so far, that might include the brand new, very good and very complicated NSX. Check out the video above for Xcar's take.
