Up for sale is my 2005 Acura NSX with targa top. It's silver with black and grey interior. This model year is the last year the NSX was made. The car has 74191 miles on it currently and will likely go up a little as I do drive it from time to time. The car rides fantastic. Smooth overall ride quality. AC blows cold with no worries. It is lowered about 1.5 inch on H&R springs. The car has Enkie RP03 wheels on. 17s front and 18s rear. Tires are Yokohama S Drive tires 215/40-17 front and 265/35-18 rear. Tires do have about 75- 80% tread life left. Besides the wheels and springs the car is all in stock form. The driver seat does show a little wear but not too bad. Passenger seat is in great condition. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Inspections are welcomed! photo 5DBA8D28-7390-461E-9CC9-0991089F3444_zpsplasokxm.jpg photo EA42BA91-62DB-411D-95E8-610CDFCA3696_zps0wmfdrak.jpg photo 4C3C35E0-D96C-445D-BDF7-1F621D79028F_zpsa2ptd87s.jpg photo 2C456097-6A7F-4E42-9C42-7BF0D502AB3F_zpsx5ruiwx7.jpg photo 0E3D6B28-1585-48A3-B101-FFB772CA101D_zpsbljr9owa.jpg photo 6BEB78A2-54AF-4F85-B79E-0914F36980AE_zpstkudjmg1.jpg photo 1CF0DA55-7C70-453A-AA1C-377A5991879A_zpsh4tmzupy.jpg photo 5777A61A-17DD-463E-A32A-2CEC58F68727_zps53vgbnhy.jpg photo CBCB122C-00D9-4892-92B7-87166625466C_zpsaa8vxx56.jpg photo 40761A2A-1929-4CC1-95CE-D457F632A098_zpsopbzcb7n.jpg photo 4973A91B-4CA1-47B4-BD89-4B5C4CA9EDB2_zpsd91kckew.jpg photo 09A7AE88-895B-4DAE-AA8E-C96E008DCE15_zpsaq8lg4fu.jpg photo D1BC1DEE-7530-4F62-8A58-F58D45B74E26_zpsq6efhjir.jpg photo 80C2A6AE-770F-4E06-9398-3C8771CD841F_zpsotgsacmb.jpg photo 0B034DDF-E700-4801-AF58-A473AD6B3A58_zpsekdzml5s.jpg photo 4DD02CC4-A649-4A81-9420-A33B75CFB24C_zps5lz59nyj.jpg photo 960A146B-96F1-40AA-953E-90990A5DB44F_zpsylqz1teo.jpg photo 1F898967-8155-457D-872E-D9344CA8A990_zpsopudjbi5.jpg photo DBA86EBD-1397-49AE-A9B9-26A1183BBDA6_zps9a0r5rfv.jpg photo D5E165F3-4121-49D7-AED3-6DD522C6420B_zpstobai1xi.jpg photo F6812AF6-295D-438A-B340-3E113F7FB982_zpsckqiiy37.jpg photo 52B1D5E9-A929-4FAB-BA7F-4B49A6C52E2B_zpso3hy0s1a.jpg photo EFA459D7-2E6A-463C-A5F3-3A5A12CD5B31_zpsmfbhcaem.jpg photo 72CC972A-7A70-4FA9-8B92-EE00D6D4470A_zpsdvprttal.jpg photo 790F17D2-E77A-4063-A27A-7D2C470BA0C0_zpsu9ks9xzn.jpg photo E73EDDED-FA03-45FF-BC4C-B443EC1DB7D2_zpskmcldndn.jpg photo 3BEAAFBC-272F-4576-A910-0D7C7A69D9FC_zpsky15u4bp.jpg photo D19F9FE0-8491-4B41-A7CC-A824BB58E372_zpsvujrqu6z.jpg photo 06C274B3-274D-4534-85D0-54116C1A8845_zpsyrhfjd9d.jpg photo 1C5B3B92-8B31-483E-82E9-9A9AD25D24DA_zpsi39ufnpk.jpg photo B78FC1EB-8181-450F-8872-170DE57FAC6B_zpschq1wqwg.jpg photo 0EEA15E7-EAE1-45C3-AB56-F9EE180D5659_zpsgbopcgmz.jpg photo D87532C6-8108-4C19-8D70-5F2B5D77CBFB_zpswdkzrxzd.jpg photo E5C563DA-1A50-48FB-AE2D-7A6E2DC565B5_zpsoj4igexc.jpg

Honda reports $1.9 billion profit in first quarter despite sales lag at home

Wed, 31 Jul 2013

Ford, General Motors and Chrysler have been living in a world of sunshine and buttercups after their April-through-June financials hit the newswire, and Toyota is doing pretty good as well. Honda? Not so much.
While Japan's third-largest manufacturer saw $1.9 billion in profits, the 5.1-percent jump was lower than expected thanks to a drop in its home-market sales. US sales also took a sting, as Honda hasn't been able to match the SUV and truck demand that are currently permeating the American market, despite an uptick in Accord sales.
Honda's initial forecasts targeted a take of 209.3 billion yen ($2.1 billion at today's rates), and while a $200 million shortfall is nothing to sniff at, we'd hardly take this as Honda being in trouble. And even with the dip, Honda hasn't adjusted its forecast for the fiscal year, which remains at 780 billion yen ($7.9 billion).

Acura ILX Type S could get 300-hp turbo four

Wed, Feb 11 2015

There's good news and bad news when it comes to the new Honda Civic Type R. The good news is that after more than a year of prototypes and concepts, the Japanese automaker's new hot hatch is about to make its production debut next month. The bad news is that it's not coming here, but there is a silver lining in even that dark rain cloud – namely, that Honda plans on slotting its 2.0-liter VTEC turbo four into something that it will actually offer Stateside. Earlier rumors suggested the US donor vehicle would also be a Civic, but the latest intel indicates it could be something different, albeit related. According to Car and Driver, which spoke recently with Acura product planning manager Gary Robinson, Honda's luxury division could be gearing up to shoehorn the engine into the recently updated ILX – which itself is based on the Civic. "Acura is always going to get the best engines Honda makes," said Robinson. "Obviously a 2.0-liter turbo is more of a must-have in the luxury world than it is in the mainstream" market, suggesting that an ILX Type S could be in the works with upwards of 300 horsepower. Getting it to fit, though, could prove a rather large challenge – and could mean the engine swap would have to wait until the next-generation model comes around. Considering that the ILX was just updated for 2016, C/D doesn't expect the full redesign to come until 2018 at the earliest. Here's hoping that if it takes that long, Honda will slot the engine into something else for US showrooms in the meantime. The revival of the Type S badge in and of itself, however, makes for an enticing prospect. The last time we saw it used was on the larger TL sedan, which upgraded the 3.2-liter V6 from the 225 horsepower to 260. Before that, the RSX jumped from 160 horsepower in the base model to 200 in the first Type S, 210 in the second and 217 in the ultimate Type R. As it stands, the new ILX (after dropping the hybrid and base 2.0 models, is powered exclusively by a 2.4-liter inline four with 201 hp on tap.

Toyota tops Consumer Reports best, worst used car values

Tue, 18 Mar 2014

We often mock Toyota for building boring, soulless cars, but a new study by Consumer Reports suggests that regardless of whether that's true, the company has some of the best used cars on the market. In its report on used cars from 2004-2013, the Japanese automaker had 11 vehicles among its brands on the list - more than any other automaker.
CR breaks the list down by cost and vehicle size, and Toyota has at least one entry at every price point and in nearly every segment. To score a recommendation, a vehicle had to perform well in the magazine's initial tests and score above-average reliability results. It also tried to only suggest cars with electronic stability control. Of the 28 recommended vehicles, Honda/Acura had the second most mentions at six, and Ford, Hyundai and Subaru managed two each.
The Detroit brands also made it to the list, but not in a positive way. Consumer Reports compiled a list of 22 vehicles it wouldn't recommend because "they have multiple years of much-worse-than-average overall reliability." General Motors had the most unrecommended models on the list at six, but Chrysler and Ford weren't far behind, with five cars each from their brands not making the grade. The full list of recommendations is available on CR's website.
