PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!! I am selling my 92 acura nsx with 87k miles. The car is over 20 years old so don't expect everything to be perfect. It was originally red. But the previous owner had it repainted spa yellow. I bought this car at a dealership on 2/20/2013. It was always garage kept and babied since my ownership. I was told that the timing belt and water pump was replaced at 80k miles by the previous owner along with valve adjustment. To be honest I don't know any history behind this car. I saw the car at the dealer and test drove it. It runs and drives excellent and I loved it. I was sold after the test drive. During my ownership I've replaced the oem radiator with koyo aluminum radiator from SOS, new coolant tank from SOS. Front license plate bracket from SOS. New set of wheels. Enkei rpf1s 17x8 front 18x10 rears. Tires still got 90% treads left. The car is lowered on h&r springs. Ark exhaust and hks intake. The nsx-r carbon fiber spoiler will not come with the car. The stock spoiler will be put back on. Exterior condition I rate it 8/10. Front bumper got some rock chips but nothing major. Driver side quarter panel got a paint chip about the size of a dime. Interior I rate it  8/10. The seats have no rips or tears just a normal wears on the seats. It will need a new ac compressor and ac belt. There's a clunking noise coming from the front passenger side when I hit a bump. Could be ball joints? I'm not sure what it is. I have no time to fix these little things. Working 11-12 hours a day I have no time to drive her. I rather just sell it to someone who will drive it more than me. I have more photos on my phone if you need to see anything else. Overall the car still runs and drives excellent!!! For more questions please text me anytime at (712)898-2802. Please call between 11am-3pm on weekdays or call anytime on weekends. I have the rights to end this auction at anytime. Thanks for looking!!

2014 North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year finalists announced [w/poll]

Tue, 10 Dec 2013

The 2014 North American International Auto Show is right around the corner, which means it's high time we found out which cars and trucks would be finalists for the prestigious North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year awards.
The finalists - three in cars and three in three trucks/utilities - are dominated by American brands, with two-thirds of the finalists hailing from either General Motors or Chrysler (don't worry Ford, there's always next year), while outliers from Mazda and Acura can be found in each contest. Here now is the list of finalists for the big prizes:

Cody Loveland's Corvette-powered NSX claimed by Pikes Peak

Tue, 25 Jun 2013

Let there be no doubt - racing automobiles can be very dangerous. This unfortunate fact of life has been proven once again today by Cody Loveland, owner of LoveFab, who crashed his Corvette-powered tube-frame Acura NSX on the second turn of the Pikes Peak hill climb course, apparently after a rear upper control arm failed. Cody hit a wall of boulders at high speed, after which the racecar caught fire.
Cody was able to escape the blaze unhurt - minus some missing hair that was singed off in the fire - but the car appears to be a complete mess, as you can see from the image above. The LoveFab Motorsports team has vowed to do its very best to rebuilt the car in time for the competition, but we'd be awfully surprised (and impressed) if that burnt-up hulk were ready for racing with just a few days to rebuild.
We're happy to hear that Cody got away safely, and here's hoping the rest of the competitors get up the hill without incident, or, like Cody, are at least able to walk away uninjured if they don't.

2014 Acura RLX

Fri, 15 Feb 2013

Good. But Good Enough?
Spoiler alert: The 2014 Acura RLX is a good car. But that shouldn't come as a surprise. Despite the fact that Acura is subject to a lot of criticism for things like its odd positioning in the automotive landscape, questionable styling choices in recent years, and the fact that, more or less, its products feel like lux'd-up Hondas rather than something truly unique, the cars have always been inherently good - decent to drive, nice to sit in and reliable to own. That's what happens when you ride that sort of "affordable luxury" line.
Because Acura's sedans don't really fit into any one definable segment, the brand hopes it can draw customers from a broader range who aren't necessarily dedicated to a certain marque. And while there's certainly rhyme to that reason on the more entry-level end of the spectrum, that proposition makes less sense as you move toward higher price points. (Have a gander at the Hyundai Equus, if you will.) On the other hand, Acura pulled data from a 2012 Strategic Vision survey that showed the number one purchase decision for luxury buyers last year was value for the money, with manufacturer reputation coming in at a close second.
