Selling our 2006 MDX. Car was handed down from my parents. We have owned it since 50miles. Car now has almost 160. It runs and drives great. I would have no problem drivng this car anywhere. It was just taken on a trip from Southern California to Vegas in the heat of the summer with the A/C on with no issues. It also has the DVD entertainment system for the Kids!! (was great on that trip) Over the last year several updates have been made - New struts front and rear, front brakes including rotors, pads, and calipers. Front lower control arm bushings, front & rear swaybar endlinks, and front swaybar bushings. It also received new front CV axles because the boots had torn. The rear pads were replaced recently, and the oil, filter, and transmission fluids have all been changed. The timing belt with water pump was replaced at 130k miles, along with spark plugs, a valve adjustment, and front/side/ and transmission mounts (all maintenance items) We have had absolutely no issues with this car at all. Only reason for selling is my wife has wanted a Ford Flex for some time and we came across the right deal... Car is loaded with all the goodies. (Many of which we don't use...) Sunroof, Navigation, DVD entertainment system, CD changer, AWD, Leather seating (3 rows), heated seats, memory seats, 3.5l V6 with 5speed transmission, we added a hitch so we could use our bike carrier and pull a utility trailer (small about 500lbs). I'm sure i'm forgetting something. But car is ready to be seen. |

Honda slowing US production due to ports dispute
Thu, Feb 19 2015The labor dispute that idled 29 ports on the West Coast last the weekend, including Los Angeles and Long Beach, CA, is about to make its effects felt on the showroom floor, according to Reuters. Honda, Toyota and Subaru have been trying to work around the labor disagreement, cutting overtime and airlifting parts to factories, but Honda says parts shortages at plants in Indiana, Ohio and Ontario, Canada, are now severe enough to impede production. The lack of transmissions and some electronic components will slow output of the Honda Accord, Civic, and CR-V – as well as unnamed Acuras. The three affected factories will rework their production schedules from Feb. 16-23. The ports have reopened this week, and US Labor Secretary Tom Perez has flown to San Francisco to mediate a new agreement between the 20,000 dockworkers represented by the International Longshore and Warehouse Union and the Pacific Maritime Association, which represents the terminals and shipping companies. Talks have been going on for almost nine months and the issues aren't settled; meanwhile, the West Coast ports that handle half the nation's maritime cargo and 70 percent of cargo from Asia are putting all kinds of industries on the ropes, and it's estimated to cost the economy $2 billion a day. 2014 Honda Ridgeline keeps on truckin' with new special edition model
Fri, 06 Sep 2013Like many smaller trucks, the Honda Ridgeline has been left to stagnate on the market for far too many years. With production of the current model reportedly winding down later next year before production of the next-gen model picks up in 2016, Honda is sending the 2014 Ridgeline out with some style courtesy of a new Special Edition trim level.
The new Ridgeline SE essentially adds cues from the Ridgeline Sport to the luxurious RTL trim level. The means features like black-trimmed 18-inch alloys and matching interior trim arrives as a no-cost option. This new model carries the same starting price as the RTL at $37,505 (*not including $830 for destination), and all other trim level pricing is carried over unchanged from the 2013 model year. The new SE model won't be available until November, and it is not pictured in the image galleries (all of which seem to be identical to previous model years).
Speaking of carryover products, Honda has also released pricing for the unchanged 2014 Pilot and 2014 Acura TL, which will continue to be priced from $29,670 and $36,030, respectively (Acura's destination charge is $890). Scroll down for press releases on the 2014 Ridgeline, Pilot and TL.
2013 Acura TL Special Edition rolls up carrying $37,405* price tag
Sat, 08 Jun 2013Acura hasn't done a whole lot with its aging TL line in recent years, the sedan only getting a very mild refresh for the 2012 model year. And while we don't see that changing anytime soon (as we reported earlier, the car is likely going to be replaced with a new TLX sedan that will serve as the replacement for both it and the smaller TSX), Acura is offering this new 2013 Special Edition TL, priced from $37,405 *plus $895 in destination fees.
The new TL SE slots in just above the base model and below the TL with Technology Package in terms of pricing, but offers a bit more in the way of added content. Special Edition features include unique 10-spoke, 18-inch alloy wheels, a body-colored decklid spoiler and the appropriate SE badging. Keyless entry with pushbutton start is also standard on the Special Edition model, and the whole package is available in four exterior colors - Bellanova White, Crystal Black, Graphite Luster and Silver Moon - all with a dark leather interior.
Acura will offer the Special Edition with the TL's base engine, a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 good for 280 horsepower and 254 pound-feet of torque, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
