2001 Acura Integra Gsr - One Of The Nicest Stock Ones Remaining! on 2040-cars
East Rochester, New York, United States
Mainly just testing waters here, I love this car, and don't want to sell it, but at the same time everything has a price. Up for sale is my 2000 Acura Integra GSR. I am the 2nd owner, and the car is 98% immaculate. This car is flat out beautiful. Shifting, steering, braking, it's all like brand new. There is 101,800 miles on the car, and the rims have some curb rash and need a good cleaning from brake dust which I haven't got to yet. I have the original floor mats, but put eBay ones in to protect the originals. There are some small hail dents in the hood and one by the sunroof which are barley noticeable in pictures, and one scratch on the passenger door, there is also a little scratch on drivers door and a scratch on the passenger quarter that has been repaired by paint marker. The only rust on the car is there is some rust starting on the control arms, and a very tiny spot on the very bottom center of the core support. But all the pinch welds still have paint on them, the trunk vents have no rust and the rubber vents are there and clear, the whole core support is like brand new. I am being very meticulous here. I strive for perfection with my cars, and this is about as close to perfect as it gets without actually being a 100% immaculate show car. Every single person that has ever seen this car in person, has been absolutely floored by it's condition and I've never had one bad thing about it. I also have the original window sticker that came with the car too. I would like to say this is one of the finest examples in the country and is my pride and joy. This car is listed for sale outside of eBay so auction can end at any time. Any questions please do not hesitate to ask, thank you. |

MotorWeek remembers the 1993 Acura Legend coupe
Fri, Sep 25 2015When discussing classic Acura models, the Legend, particularly as a two-door, doesn't get brought up nearly as often as the Integra or NSX. Perhaps that's because those sporty models were brash for their time, whereas this bigger car came off as a more conservative ride. For a MotorWeek Retro Review, John Davis and crew have looked back at a 1993 Legend coupe to give us a chance to remember Acura's luxury GT. In 1993, the newly revised 3.2-liter V6 managed 230 horsepower, and this one had power routed through a six-speed manual. It also came packed with luxury features, including automatic climate control and traction control. However, the Legend turned out to be more of a comfy cruiser than an all-out sports coupe for the reviewers. MotorWeek wasn't happy with the performance through the slalom, and the shifter wasn't perfect, either. Still, this clip is a great refresher on a model that's often overlooked. Related Video:
Acura recalls 7,387 new RLX sedans over suspension bolts
Wed, 18 Dec 2013Acura has announced a recall for the 2014 RLX due to improperly tightened rear suspension bolts that could come loose and increase the risk of a crash. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has yet to formally issue a recall notice for the RLX, but Acura says that a total of 7,387 RLX sedans are affected, which seems to include markets outside of the US as there have only been 4,456 of the sedans sold through November.
While there isn't an official NHTSA statement, there is one complaint on the government agency's site for a similar incident that caused a driver to almost lose control of the vehicle. Recall notices will be mailed out to customers starting next month, but in the meantime, Acura has issued a press release, which is posted below, and includes contact information that will be useful for affected RLX owners.
Acura NSX EV puts winner Tetsuya Yamano back on Pikes Peak
Mon, Jun 20 2016With Pikes Peak right around the corner, Acura is showing off more details about its NSX-inspired all-electric racer. The four-motor EV will be driven in the Electric Modified Class by Tetsuya Yamano, who has been testing the car at the Hill Climb for the past few weeks. Acura is also running two NSX hybrids up the hill in the challenge next weekend. So, what's different inside this NSX-like EV? Like the all-electric Honda CR-Z that Yamano drove up Pikes Peak last year – winning the Challenge Exhibition class with a time of 10:23.829 – the NSX-inspired EV uses two Twin Motor Units (TMU) from the company's Sport Hybrid SH-AWD powertrain. Each axle has a TMU and that means that the car, "has achieved independent torque distribution to all four corners – true four-wheel torque vectoring," according to Acura. That sounds nice, but the real test will be out in Colorado in just a few days. The Acura EV Concept features a further evolution of the experimental, all-electric, 4-motor Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™ (SH-AWD®) powertrain that won last year's Pikes Peak Challenge Exhibition class. The supercar-inspired Acura EV Concept will be driven by Tetsuya Yamano, who campaigned last year's CR-Z-based electric prototype. The Acura EV Concept is the ultimate embodiment of the all-wheel-drive Electric SH-AWD powertrain featuring a world's first technology that enables four-wheel independent torque allocation. The Acura EV Concept's Electric SH-AWD powertrain produces three times the total system output of last year's electric prototype and is mated to the NSX body. "We've been tuning the car for several weeks at Pikes and have advanced its performance significantly," said Tetsuya Yamano. "We're honored to be running at Pikes in this historical, anniversary year – an event respected by racing fans all over the world." 4-Motor Development Honda R&D has been developing "super handling" technology for more than 20 years in the pursuit of ideal vehicle handling.
