Im selling my 1990 Acura integra LS 4 door with a 5 speed manual transmission and the b18a1 4 cylinder engine. The body of this car has 197,051 miles. The engine is "new" with about 89,000 miles.
I have owned this car since around 2003. About 4 years ago I gave it to my brother as his first car. He took the valve cover off to paint it and forgot to put the spark plug tube o-rings back in. Ran the engine out of oil... He bought a new engine and put it in but never could get it to start. He gave up on trying to figure it out and just parked it. That was 3 years ago and has not been driven since then. It started to become a parts car when I finally decided to fix it. About 6 months ago I started to put it back together. I put an aftermarket header on it, new starter$200, radiator, fuel filter, coolant temperature sensor, spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, rotor button, fuel pump relay, oil change, alternator(used), blower motor and a bunch of interior pieces. The fuel pump relay was the reason it sat for so long the other parts were missing except for the spark plugs.
The tires seem to hold air, and aren't worn out. The body has dents and dings on the front of the car. Both front fenders have a dent of some sort on them. There is rust above the drivers side rear tire and around passenger rear tire. All the windows are good, No Cracks. All the electronics work, but is missing the radio. The gas gauge also quit working.  I think my brother had the tank out to see if the pump was bad. The brakes really suck on this car, seems like air in the lines. park brake does not work. the carpet is bad in the back floorboard area. I left the car sit in the driveway for awhile and realized the passenger window was down about an inch all this time. The floor got wet and now the interior stinks like mildew, just needs to air out. The car is hard to start now and I can't figure it out. I started it last week with starter fluid and it ran fine for about 20 minutes so I shut it off. Once it starts it runs fine and after it starts it continues to start easily. I tried to start it tonight but the battery ran down and I gave up. I think the gas is stale Because the exhaust stinks when it's running.
In all, this would be a good car to fix or use the parts off it. The transmission was replaced at the dealership about 6 years ago, lightweight flywheel was installed along with new axles and the front end was also aligned after replacing tie rod ends.

as of right now the car would have to be towed or trailered. it starts then dies, starts then dies. after about 5 minutes it finally starts then will run like nothing is wrong. I have no clue, most likely bad gasoline... it is the same gas from 3 years ago I think. and I don't want to drop the gas tank. I think its completely full.

this integra is located in waverly ohio.

I am sure im missing something but if you have any questions, want specific details or want to see another picture just message me thru ebay messaging with details on whatever you need to know or see and leave me your contact information you wish for me to respond to.

please serious bidders only.

and thanks for your interest in this listing.

Honda delays JDM Legend over quality concerns

Tue, Dec 30 2014

Honda has been having some quality issues lately, to say the least. Most of those have revolved around the airbags supplied by Takata, but not exclusively. The new Fit Hybrid, for example, has been subject to five consecutive recalls in the year since it launched. And now the Japanese automaker is reportedly delaying the launch of its new Legend sedan. The Legend, for those unfamiliar, is what Honda calls the Acura RLX in the Japanese Domestic Market – a model that has been subject to a handful of recalls in the United States, affecting components ranging from headlights to seatbelts to suspension bolts. Such quality control issues have prompted Honda to delay the introduction of its flagship sedan in its home market, pushing its arrival in Japanese showrooms back from the fall (when the model was revealed) initially to January 22 and now to February 20, according to the report from Bloomberg. The extra time is earmarked the give Honda engineers the opportunity to look into potential problems with the vehicle's radar safety system and its advanced hybrid powertrain, before introducing it to the local market. Hopefully further recalls can be avoided once deliveries have commenced.

NSX, S660, and a 4-motor CR-Z EV that goes like hell

Tue, Oct 27 2015

AutoblogGreen Editor-in-Chief Sebastian Blanco was my road dog while visiting Honda's R&D center in Tochigi. Over the course of a long day of briefings, driving demonstrations, and a variety of strange-flavored candies, we saw quite a lot of what the company is planning for the next generation and beyond. Of course, Sebastian and I see the world through very different eyes. So, while he was busy getting details about the FCV Clarity successor, and asking tough questions about electrification (in other words, the important stuff), I was fixating on a tiny, two-seat sports car that will never come to America. Oh, there was an NSX, too. Honda's pre-Tokyo Motor Show meeting really did have plenty to offer for all kinds of auto enthusiasts, be they focused on fast driving or environmentally friendly powertrains. Seb's attendance let me focus on the stuff that's great for the former, while he wrote up high points of the latter. View 15 Photos S660 I joke about salivating over the S660, but honestly I was at least as excited to take a few laps in Honda's Beat encore, as I was to sample the Acura supercar. Conditions for the test drive weren't ideal, however. Two laps of a four-kilometer banked oval is not exactly nirvana for a 1,800-pound, 63-horsepower roadster. Still, I folded all six feet and five inches of my body behind the tiny wheel determined to wring it out. The immersion of the driving experience was enough to make it feel fast, at least. I shifted up just before redline in first gear with the last quarter of the pit lane rollout lane still in front of me. The 658cc inline-three buzzed like a mad thing behind my ear, vastly more stirring than you'd expect while traveling about 30 miles per hour. The S660 is limited to just around 87 mph, but the immersion of the driving experience (note: I was over the windscreen from the forehead up) was enough to make it feel fast, at least. Even after just a few laps, and precious little steering, I could tell that everything I grew up loving about Honda was in play here. The six-speed manual offered tight, quick throws, the engine seemed happiest over 5,000 rpm, and the car moved over the earth with direct action and a feeling of lightness. Sure proof that you don't need high performance – the S600 runs to 60 mph in about 13 seconds – to build a driver's car. I could have used 200 miles more, and some mountain roads, to really enjoy the roadster (though I would have wanted a hat).

Top 10 small cars with the longest total driving range

Thu, Mar 19 2015

Editor's Note: Since this article was originally posted in the spring of 2015, much has changed in the automotive landscape, especially among those shopping for small car economy. With thanks to Volkswagen for their blatant cheating – and subsequent cover-up – on diesel emissions, the largest player in the diesel passenger car segment isn't playing – they're paying; billions are going for both car buybacks and federally-imposed penalties. And for a few VW execs there exists the very real possibility of jail. With the absence of a big player and the abrupt entrance – via Chevy's new Bolt – of an affordable EV with 200+ miles of range, we've limited the diesel listings to Jaguar's new XE. And for those wanting an updated look at efficiency and range, Autoblog has it – or the EPA has it. Long before electric vehicles were part of the mainstream conversation, car lovers and skinflints alike would boast about the total range of their vehicles. There's something about getting farther down the road on one tank of gas that inflames the competitive spirit, almost as much as horsepower output or top speed. Of course, the vehicles with the very best range on today's market are almost all big trucks and SUVs; virtually all have the ability to carry massive reserves of fuel. Top up a standard Chevy Suburban and you can expect to travel almost 700 miles (you'll need to stop before the Suburban stops...), while a diesel-fed Jeep Grand Cherokee manages almost as many. But what about vehicles that are smaller? The EPA has, essentially, three classifications for 'small' vehicles: Minicompact, Subcompact and Compact. All three are measured based on interior volume, meaning that some cars with rather large exterior dimensions and engines slot in next to traditional small cars. But even though impressive GT coupes from Porsche, Bentley and Mercedes-Benz may have much larger gas tanks to feed their powerful engines, that capacity is offset by higher rates of consumption... in most cases. We used the EPA's Fuel Economy Guide for model year 2017 cars as a start, calculating the official highway miles per gallon rating with each vehicle's tank capacity. The resulting numbers aren't necessarily real world, but they do offer a spectrum for total theoretical range. The eventual top ten surprised me on a few occasions, and comprised quite a varied list of vehicles. 10.
